In the OOWF Training Ring we see Firewoman and...LD Williams? Lucky is outside with a clipboard, and LD repeatedly puts Firewoman in position for a pile driver. She repeatedly flips out, kicks her heels down onto LD's head and shoulders until he drops her somewhat awkwardly, and then gets up and turns on him. He manages to defend himself against what ever punch or shove or choke she throws his way before she regains her composure.
LDW: C'mon ...again.
FW: This sucks. I'm done.
LDW: No, you're not.
FW: I don't know why Alex couldn't be doing this.
Lucky: Because Alex would be done after the first time you said "Enough," because he's never hard enough on you as a coach.
LDW: I, however, don't care. *he smirks*
FW: I don't like you anymore.
Lucky: And we're doing this because Dr. Freedman said it was the best way to get you over your ...
FW: If you say "fear of piledrivers" I will get out of this ring and--
Lucky: *not hiding his irritation* No, you won't. Now get back there and get after it. You saw what Genius IQ said to him, they're going to go for the top rope pile driver because they know you'll freak out and get disqualified. Go back to your corner, do some deep breathing, and calm yourself down and we'll go for it again.
FW: So I just won't let him get me there and --
Lucky: Fire. He's twice as tall as you are. I don't doubt your ability but it COULD happen, and you HAVE to be ready so GO!
Lucky points to the far corner. Fire glares at him for a bit before turning and walking the direction he indicated, hands on her hips, trying to calm down.
LDW: You are the only person I've ever seen talk to her that way and not get hit.
L: *Shrugs* It's a gift. *Calling out* Okay.....ready, Fire?
FW: *from across the ring* Fuck off!
L: She's ready.
LDW: Yeah, but I'm not. Why me, anyway? Alex, Stank, even Chad and Zane would all be --
L: Because she bats her eyes at Alex, or even Chad, some days, and they let her off easy. Besides she wants Chad and Zane to focus on beating Davin. And Stank isn't even on site yet, plus he's got...other issues...but if you need to work on stuff for your match--
LDW: Eh, it's fine. She and Evans are pretty similar in a lot of ways, so I'm killing two birds with one stone here...uh, not literally, I hope.
FW: Are you two going to talk all day or can we get this over with?
LD smirks and heads to the center of the ring. He and Fire do a bit of an exchange again. Fire (since LD is helping her) throws some Evans-esque moves in there for LD to counter, and then they get to the part where LD starts the piledriver series....He gets Fire upside down and....she relaxes (kind of), and allows him to hit a piledriver. They get up and while Fire still has a bit of a panicked look, she is also somewhat relieved.
L: AWESOME! Great job, Fire...okay...so Dr. Freedman says the next step is to go to the first rope, then the second, then--
FW: Lucky, we don't have that kind of time. I have a ring to see to, set up security, make sure the assholes from the local athletic commission can get in to inspect...I'm good.
LDW: Fire, I've got time, and this is helping both of us.
FW: LD....thank you.....really.....you don't need any help to beat Evans....And at some point, I do have to go on my own.
LD nods. Lucky looks like he starts to argue, but thinks differently of it. They grab their stuff, and start to walk out.
L: You wanna hit the showers first, Fire? Or go straight to--
FW: Lucky...quit hovering. I'll be fine... and I'll catch up with you in a minute.
Lucky nods and leaves.
LDW: Okay, well, good luck tonight.
FW: You too...and.......
LDW: ....
FW: ....
LDW: What?
FW: You do have allies, you know.
Fire walks out with LD standing there.
