OOWF MidWeek Mayhem
Live! From Quahog, Rhode Island
COMRADE SHARKOFF vs. MAI MUYOBoth wrestlers are out, Sharkoff gets a loud chorus of boos, while Mai gets a USA! USA! USA! chant, despite her not being from the USA. The bell rings and they lock up and Sharkoff immediately goes to the eyes and dominates Mai with power moves, beating her to the mat. Sharkoff sends Mai to the ropes and catches her in a bear hug, trying for the submission, but Mai will not give up. She does the HANDCLAP OF EXTREME DISCOMFORT to free herself and staggers back to the corner, Sharkoff charges into the corner, but Mai moves out of the way and Sharkoff slams into the turnbuckle. As he staggers backward, Mai peppers him with kicks to the chest, then finishes him off with a spinning heel kick to the jaw that sends him to the mat. Mai climbs to the top rope and nails a missile drop kick, and covers for a two count. Mai pulls Sharkoff up again and tries a hurracarana, but Sharkoff PLANTS her with a powerbomb for a two count. Sharkoff gets ready in the corner for the RUSSIAN SICKLE! As he charges, Mai ducks and Sharkoff again slams into the turnbuckle, as he staggers backward, Mai rolls him up for a two count. Sharkoff spins to his feet, but Mai is a little faster, she grabs him from behind and hits the END IS HERE! She covers Sharkoff, hooking the leg hard and gets the one, two, three!
WINNER in 8:23 – Mai Muyo
FIREWOMAN vs. GHOSTHEADGhosthead is announced first and he stands stoically in the middle of the ring, his arms crossed defiantly. Firewoman is announced and sprints to the ring, slides under the bottom rope and attacks Ghosthead with a fury that we haven’t seen in awhile. Evidently Fire did not like Ghosthead attacking her personal servant Lucky. Fire takes it to Ghosthead, but Ghosthead seems to be enjoying it more than being hurt, that is, until Fire kicks him in the face. Ghosthead drops to one knee in the corner and Fire charges in and catches him with a running knee to the temple that knocks him between the ropes to the floor. Fire is relentless and leaves the ring and goes after Ghosthead on the floor. She pulls him up and tries a whip to the guardrail, but Ghosthead reverses it and Fire slams, what else, ribs first, into the steel. Ghosthead grabs her for a suplex, then DRIVES her chest first down onto the stairs! Fire gasps for breath and clutches her ribs, but gets right back to her feet and avoids a punch from GH and hits a LUNGBLOWER! Course, falling onto the concrete back first did her no favors, and they both remain down. Both get to their feet, Ghosthead tries to beat the count back into the ring, but Fire grabs him and pulls him back to the floor and ROCKS him with a European uppercut, seemingly not caring one bit about being counted out.
WINNER – Double Count Out in 9:31
The two fight after the bell, but security gets involved and splits them up. Fire is livid and wants to get back at Ghosthead, Ghosthead has a smirk on his face and dares Fire to come back for more. Fire does her damndest, knocking several security guards down, but in the end there are too many of them and they are separated and sent to the back.
FIRECHILD vs. RICKY SOARING EAGLEFirechild and Soaring Eagle lock up and FC grabs an arm wringer and backs Soaring Eagle into the corner and unloads a series of chops. Soaring Eagle already seems to be fighting to control his anger. He lunges at Firechild and FC takes him to the mat with an arm drag. Then pops back to his feet. Soaring Eagle slams the mat in frustration and gets to his feet. Firechild charges in again and tries a clothesline, but Soaring Eagle ducks and when Firechild turns around, Soaring Eagle nearly decapitates him with a clubbing clothesline of his own. The match continues from there, back and forth with neither man able to maintain much of an advantage. The match is actually quite good until the end when both men are in the corner locked up and the referee gets between them and in the process of pushing Firechild away, inadvertently throws an elbow that catches Soaring Eagle right above the eye, cutting him open. When Soaring Eagle sees his blood, he goes insane and shoves the referee to the mat. Before he can do anything else, Firechild POPS him with a superkick that sends him between the ropes to the floor. Soaring Eagle is LIVID at ringside and destroys anything not nailed down. The referee calls for the bell, this one is over.
WINNER in 14:12 – by disqualification – Firechild
TEXPRESS vs. ATTITUDE ADJUSTER & HONCHO WILLIAMSTexpress grab the early advantage and keep it for the majority of the match. AA and Honcho can never quite seem to get on the same page with things. They get small bursts of offense in, but Chad and Zane quickly use their tag experience to regain the advantage. At one point, Chad and Zane dispose of Honcho and AA, sending them to the outside. AA calls Honcho over and they huddle up with #Heel Cowboy Johnny Adrenaline for advice. Honcho stares at AA like he has lost his mine, but AA seems to be concentrating on what “Johnny” is saying. He calls for a break, then asks Honcho if he got all that. Honcho just shakes his head and gets back into the ring. Honcho and Chad go at it for a few minutes, then Honcho whips Chad to the ropes, but AA sets #Heel Cowboy Johnny Adrenaline on the apron. Chad stops short and just stares at “Johnny” and AA, then turns back to Honcho, who POPS him with the THUNDERBOLT! Chad’s head snaps back and he flails backward and knocks #Heel Cowboy Johnny Adrenaline to the floor, as he staggers forward, Honcho grabs him and rolls him up in a small package and gets the one, two, THREE! WHAT AN UPSET!
WINNERS in 14:41 – Honcho Williams & Attitude Adjuster
Chad is STUNNED in the middle of the ring, AA bear hugs #Heel Cowboy Johnny Adrenaline and lifts him in the air celebrating. Honcho just shakes his head and heads to the back.
DANNY TAYLOR, OUTBACK JACK & EL LOBO SANGRIENTO vs. THE KAI, CHRIS EVANS & JP SPARXXDanny demands to start the match, and points to Evans. Evans smirks and slowly steps between the ropes. They lock up and Danny catches him with a knee to the gut then sends him to the ropes and tries a big boot, but Evans bails out of the ring to the floor and points to his head. Evans tries to get Danny to come out after him, but Danny holds his ground. Evans eventually climbs back into the ring and Danny goes after him again, but Evans ducks the lock up and tags in The Kai. The match continues on, and Danny starts getting frustrated because he cannot get his hands on Evans. The match breaks down and teeters on getting tossed out by the referee. The end comes when Sparxx POPS Outback Jack with a SUPERKICK, then goes for the follow up roundhouse kick for the INSTANT REPLAY, but Jack ducks, grabs Sparxx and hits the CHOMP! Jack covers, hooking the leg hard, and gets the one, two, three!
WINNERS in 18:11 – Danny Taylor, Outback Jack and El Lobo Sangriento
RABBIT MASK vs. PSYKLERabbit and Psykle meet in the middle of the ring and go nose to navel. Psykle towers over Rabbit, but Rabbit does not back down a bit. They lock up and Psykle throws Rabbit all over the ring. To his credit, Rabbit takes a beating very well and Psykle can’t keep him down for a three count. Psykle pulls Rabbit up and lifts him for a pump handle slam, but Rabbit slips over his shoulder and lands on his feet, Psykle spins around and Rabbit drops kicks his knee dropping the big man to one knee, then takes him to the mat with a DDT. Rabbit prefers a more ground based, and suplex based offense these days, but given that he is giving up over 200lbs to Psykle, that is not happening. Rabbit keeps Psykle off balance by using his speed and a hit and run offense. Rabbit heads to the top rope and Psykle catches him on the top rope and goozles him and tries a chokeslam, but Rabbit knees him in the face sending him staggering, Rabbit leaps off the ropes, drops to the mat and sweeps Psykle’s legs sending him to the mat, then traps Psykle in the HARE HOLD! Psykle moves and tries to make it to the ropes, but Rabbit twists his arm and Psykle is forced to tap out!
WINNER in 17:17 – Rabbit Mask
Rabbit gets to his feet and celebrates with the fans, Psykle gets to his feet, shaking his arm, looking very disappointed. He grabs Rabbit from the turnbuckle and pulls him into the middle of the ring. Rabbit turns around ready to fight, but Psykle just extends his hand. Rabbit looks at him dubiously, but backed by the crowd, he shakes hands with Psykle. The big man bails out of the ring and leaves Rabbit Mask to celebrate.
STANK, LD WILLIAMS & DAVIN MORELAND vs. AINA, MATT FOLZ & STAN FULTONWhereas the previous six man match teetered on the edge of being a no contest, this one came out in full on, no contest mode. The six men fought their way to the ring with Stank and Stan trading punches, LD and Folz doing their best to beat the hell out of one another, and Davin and Aina making it to the ring and landing big move after big move on one another. The referee desperately tries to keep control. Folz and LD manage to roll into the ring and for a second, it just becomes a tornado tag match. Folz nails Davin from behind, but Davin turns around and catches Folz with a punch to the jaw that sends him out of the ring. From the outside, Fulton breaks free from Stank and grabs Davin and pulls him out of the ring and slams him in the face with a headbutt. From behind, Folz chop blocks him to the floor, Davin falls to the floor grabbing his knee in pain. Now with the numbers advantage, the New Guard takes over, keeping Stank outside the ring and beating LD mercilessly. LD does manage to catch Aina with a CANADIAN DESTROYER, but he can’t follow up and Aina makes the tag to Fulton who KILLS LD with a DROP LINE! Stan covers, but Davin makes it back into the ring for the save. The end of the match comes when Davin has Aina up on the top rope for a superplex. Matt Folz runs into the ring and grabs Davin off the ropes and PLANTS him with an OLYMPIC SLAM! Aina climbs to the top rope and hits a SUPERFLY SPLASH! Aina covers and gets the three count before LD or Stank can make it into the ring for the save.
WINNERS in 22:41 – Aina, Matt Folz & Stan Fulton
SAINTS OF SINNERS vs. ALEXANDER DARLING – Steel Cage MatchThe cage is lowered onto the ring. "Laser Cannon Deth Sentence" by Dethklok plays and Moosehead Jack and Ecosystem come out, to a chorus of loud boos. Moosehead slumps in the corner while Ecosystem stands stoically facing the entrance. "Prelude 12/21" starts and then morphs into "Headstrong" and Alexander Darling appears at the top of the ramp....alone. Cheers fill the arena, and there is more than one sign that says "Please don't die Alex." He just smirks at these and heads to the ring himself, going through the gate. The external referee closes the door, but Alex gets him to give him a microphone first.
AD: I had some people offer to come out here and help me, but this isn't about other people...this is about you two, and me, so I don't care if I get fired for this, but we're having this fight here and now.
Moose looks up from his slump in the corner with an evil smile, and stands. Eco makes some sort of motion blessing Alex with the sign of the cross, and as he's done, Alex slaps his hands down and follows up with a left hook punch. And with that, the brawl is on. Alex may be outnumbered, but that's not stopping him from landing some very serious punches and kicks on both Moose and Eco. He's causing some damage, but not as much as Moose and Eco are causing. Referee Barros is trying to get them to do some actual wrestling, but as it's a no disqualifications, there's not much he can do. Ecosystem is holding Alex's arms behind his back, and Moose is applying Heartpunch after Heartpunch. He just gets ready to land the fourth one when....
The opening jangly guitar of "Firewoman" plays, and the Commissioner herself comes down the ramp. She's already dressed in her street clothes, and she's not moving very fast. She's clutching her ribs and has several cuts that are not quite all the way closed up, and a microphone in her hand. She gets down to the external referee (who is just a temp).
FW: Open the cage. I said....OPEN. THE. CAGE.
The temp opens it up after initially hesitating. Fire steps in.
FW: ENOUGH!
Moose stops his heart punches, amused. Ecosystem lets go of Alex's arms and he drops to his knees, clutching his chest.
FW: You two. Back the fuck up.
While there's no reason in the world they should, Moose and Eco do so anyway, mostly to enjoy the show. Fire turns to Alex.
FW: Stand up.
Alex looks at her like she's crazy, and of course, she is. And much like Moose and Eco have no reason to back up, but do it anyway, Alex has no choice but to get to his feet. He's not happy about it though, and glares at her.
FW: I told you. If you didn't find a partner then the handicapped match was canceled. And not only did you not even TRY to find a partner, you actively turned down people who offered to help. Therefore, I have no other choice.
Alex grabs the mic from her.
AD: If you do this.....
Firewoman grabs it back.
FW: As Commissioner of the OOWF, I am declaring this handicapped match canceled.
The crowd kinda shits on this, because even though they like Alex and hate Moose and Eco, they hate not getting a main event even more. Alex looks at Fire like he could kill her.
FW: Settle down. The handicapped match is canceled and is being replaced, by a tag team match.
The crowd quiets down. Moose, Eco and Alex all look at her questioningly.
FW: The match was billed as the Darlings v. Saints of Sinners, and what do you know...a little over a year ago, I officially changed my last name to Darling.....
The fans cheer. Eco looks shocked, and Moose looks more pissed and disgusted than ever. Alex looks confused, and then it begins to dawn on him. Fire turns to the crowd.
FW: That sparkle with you all? Right now, in this very ring, Alexander Darling and Firewoman v. Moose and Eco. And that match starts--
MHJ: Wait just a second. What about you being all 'hands off' and 'fair and just' and 'no special favors' as Commissioner? What happened to all of that?
FW: Oh, right...that. Well, you see making this match? That was my last official action as commissioner. Because effective immediately? I resign.
And to punctuate that, she drops the mic and turns and punches Ecosystem right in the face. There's a huge pop from the crowd. Alex smiles darkly and attacks Moose and the Pier Four brawl is on. The match goes back and forth for a while, but after a while the exhaustion from Fire's previous match and the beating on Alex takes its toll. Moose and Eco get the advantage. Eco has Fire in the Dragon Sleeper, but he's forgotten her flexibility and her adrenaline levels. She kicks off the mat and flips over him, hitting a neckbreaker, but it takes a HUGE toll on her ribs, and most of her cuts have opened. Alex and Fire fight back some, but it doesn't last long. Alex tries to set up his Darling Driver, but Moose reverses and lands a Chimera plex. Barros is just barely keeping things from getting truly out of hand. Moose gets Fire up on his shoulders and is setting up the Go 2 Sleep Forever. Alex nails Eco with a superkick and pulls Fire off Moose's shoulders. Fire falls with a thud, clutching her sides, but not moving much. Moose turns toward Alex with a snarl and Alex spits GREEN MIST at him! Moose staggers back, hands to his face. Even though it’s a No DQ, some things are never allowed, and Barros calls for the bell.
WINNER – No Contest in 12:44
Alex stands over Moose for a bit, smiling, then seems to remember something. He turns, sees Fire lying in a heap and goes to her, but she stirs and he helps her stand, looking relieved. Ecosystem tries to go after them, but they leave the cage before he can. Moose got his hands on a towel and is trying to wipe the mist from his eyes. He snarls and glares up the ramp where Alex and Fire are headed, even though he can’t see much of anything. Eco stands over Moose and he watches the Darlings go and an evil smile spreads across his face as we fade to black.
