OOWF MidWeek Mayhem
Live! From Grassy Butte, North Dakota
September 17, 2014
ALEXANDER DARLING vs. HEATH SLATERSlater is out first, and the OOWF crowd boos the hell out of him. He mostly ignores it and shakes his head at them. He waits in the corner as Alexander Darling’s music plays. Alex comes out with Eric O’Mac and the crowd nearly riots. The fans throw garbage at both Alex and Eric but neither seem to care.
Alex steps into the ring and immediately charges across the ring and attacks Slater, beating him down with punches and kicks in the corner. Darling sends Slater to the ropes and POPS him on the jaw with a SUPERKICK! Slater staggers and hits the ropes, Alex charges in and takes him over the top with a CLOTHESLINE! Slater hits the floor hard, Alex argues with the fans, then starts bitching at the referee. With the ref distracted, Eric reaches under the ring and pulls out Alex’s sledgehammer and NAILS Slater right between the eyes! Slater goes down in a heap, and has been busted wide open. Eric rolls him back under the bottom rope.
Alex stops arguing with the ref and pulls a barely conscious Slater to his feet and hits a DARLING DRIVER! Slater is out at this point, pin the man already! But Alex isn’t done just yet. He pulls Slater to his feet and slaps him across the face, then hits DARK DARLING RISING! Ok, seriously, now Slater is out cold. But Alex STILL doesn’t go for the pin (and the crowd is even closer to rioting) instead, he locks on the DEATH BY DARLING! Slater can’t even tap out. The referee calls for the bell, but Alex STILL doesn’t break. It’s not until the referee is about to reverse the decision that Alex finally lets go.
WINNER in 3:21 – Alexander Darling
Darling leaves the ring and he and Eric shake hands and walk to the back as more litter rains down upon them.
BANNED FROM EVERYWHERE vs. CHRISTIAN CARTER & GHOSTHEADThe bell rings and it looks like Awesome Bill is going to start for his team, but both Carter and Ghost are arguing on who's going to start on their side. They're clearly not on the same page as they continue to argue, Bill and Justin take advantage and hit a double dropkick that knock both Ghost and Carter to the floor.
They continue to argue on the outside before each sliding back into the ring and AGAIN arguing who's going to be the legal man. Bill and Justin try to attack again, but this time Carter ducks and backdrops Justin onto the floor knocking him unconscious, while Ghosthead catches Bill and hits a Horror Driver. He covers, 1...2... Pulled off by Carter. Carter gets right in Ghosthead's face, motioning that he wants to be the one to get the pin. Ghost takes offense to this and spits the black mist, but Carter ducks. Carter charges and the momentum takes them both out of the ring as they begin to brawl up the aisle. Neither Bill nor Justin are moving, but that dosen't matter as the referee continues to count and reaches 10.
Winners via countout in 55 seconds: Banned From Everywhere.
After the match, Security comes pouring out of the back trying to break up Carter and Ghost, while Ellie May slides into the ring and revives her charges with a pint of PCPL
JOSE REYNA vs. FIREWOMANFirewoman is out first to cheers from the crowd, Reyna is out next to a chorus of boos. From the start, Reyna doesn't look he is focused on the match and he constantly argues with fans and refs about a man named Clause. Firewoman is not amused and tells the ref to start the match. He complies and Firwoman takes over on Reyna rocking him with several stiff forarms. Reyna doesn't seem to care that this is Onslaught rules and rakes her eyes drawing a warning.
Reyna has used his first warningReyna takes over with several snap suplexes and covers, but only gets a one count. Reyna argues with the ref on the speed of the count, and Firewoman responds by droping him with a backcracker. She goes up for the best firesault ever, but Reyna moves and she eats canvas. Reyna then locks in a boston crab, and Firewoman is forced to grab the ropes to break it.
Firewoman has used her first rope breakReyna goes to lock in a sideheadlock, but Firewoman spins out into a rear waistlock, and then surprises Reyna with a german suplex. She covers but only gets two. Reyna rolls out of the ring frustrated, and spends several moments yelling at fans as the ref begins to count him out. Firewoman is having none of that and follows him out. She grabs him and throws him back into the ring. As she slides in to behing him, Reyna shoves the ref at her.
Firwoman avoids slamming into him, and Reyna uses this opportunity to slip something out of his tights into his fist. He goes for a knockout punch, but Fire sees it coming ducks behind him and pulls him into a schoolgirl rollup, locking her leg over his arm. The ref makes the three count and Reyna is a half second late kicking out.
Your winner via pinfall in 10:12 FirewomanThe crowd erupts in cheers, and for a moment both Reyna and Firewoman look shocked that the match is over. Then Firewoman smiles and climbs the buckles as the crowd cheers her on. For a moment it looks like Reyna wants to continue to fight, but then he ends up rolling out of the ring muttering to himself.
CHRIS EVANS & ECOSYSTEM vs. MURPHY’S LAWEvans and Eco come out to Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper” and make their way to the ring. Eco is trying to explain something to Evans, who’s having none of it. Eco throws up his hands and climbs out of the ring to the apron.
The Dropkick Murphys plays and out comes DK and Danielle. They slap hands with the ringside fans and climb into the ring and up on the turnbuckles, making the fans roar even louder.
Finally the pre-match festivities are over and this one’s a go.Evans and Danielle start out and immediately Evans takes the quote-unquote low road and thumbs Danielle in the eye right off the bat. Evans ignores the referee’s warning and thumbs Danielle’s other eye.
Everyone’s yelling at Evans: DK, the referee, even Eco. Evans ignores them all, muttering about how he’s a former World Champion. He grabs Danielle by the head and snaps her over, then locks in a side headlock while lying on the mat, putting extra pressure on Danielle’s neck.
As the referee goes around behind, Evans pops Danielle in the schnoz with a closed fist. Blood starts to pour. The ref notices and admonishes Evans, but he replies that Danielle might be anemic.
Danielle finally powers up to her feet and elbows Evans in the gut once, twice and finally a third time which breaks the hold. Danielle runs the ropes and unlike every other match where Evans would duck a clothesline and then come back and level Danielle, she ducks an Evans punch and runs flat out to her corner.
DK in now and he brings Hell with him. A slug-fest ensues and DK gets the better of it. A spinning back elbow sends Evans reeling, but near enough to his own corner that Eco makes a tag.
Eco leaps into the ring with a springboard clothesline. He rolls up to his feet and then puts on a mini-clinic of spot wrestling over the next few minutes. This all culminates in a very pretty moonsault which garners a two count cover.
Eco tags in Evans and the two work over DK, while quick tagging the other in. Perfect tag team wrestling. Finally, Evans has an extended spot with DK, but drops his head in a rookie move and DK drops an elbow on the back of Evans’s neck.
DK makes a tag and Danielle is all house o’ fire on Evans in retaliation for the bloody nose. She nails Evans with a short clothesline and picks him back up again. Then repeats. And a third time. Evans is woozy and makes no effort to avoid the German suplex Danielle puts upon the Lionhearted One.
The crowd is chanting “CHOMP! CHOMP!” and Danielle nods in agreement. DK nods too. Danielle picks Evans up and tosses him across the ring. She runs the ropes in the opposite direction, but doesn’t notice Eco nearby. Eco pulls the ropes down and Danielle goes flying off into the crowd barrier.
The ref starts to argue and admonish Eco so he doesn’t see Evans slip a pair of brass knuckles out of his tights. As DK comes into the ring, Evans plasters DK right between the eyes. DK goes down in a heap and Evans casually puts the knucks away.
He nonchalantly taps the referee on the shoulder and informs him that a cover will be made thusly. And so it does.
ONE! TWO! THREE!
Your winners, by pinfall in 11:43... ECOSYSTEM AND CHRIS EVANS!Eco and Evans pose on the turnbuckles while unbeknownst to them, the Murphys are coming around. As Eco and Evans start to taunt a plump gentleman in the front row wearing a Firewoman T-shirt (that will annoy Stank... maybe), the Murphys come up behind and grab their opponents in matching sleeper holds!
Eco and Evans wave their arms around like marionettes with cut strings. In no time at all, both are in sleepy-dream land and the Murphys unceremoniously drop their bodies to the mat to the cheers of the crowd. While Eco and Evans dream of ... frankly, I don’t want to know what either dream of ... the Murphys wave to the crowd as they head to the back.
No EMTs rush out for the sleeping pair and eventually they groggily come to, wondering what all happened to them. The crowd laughs and points at them all the way to the back.STANK & LD WILLIAMS vs. SPIDER MCNULTY & DANNY TAYLORSpider and Danny are out first and get a huge ovation from the crowd. They make their way to the ring, Danny is focused, but Spider continues to look around in amazement at the reaction he gets. They step into the ring and Spider’s demeanor changes immediately. He has a few words with Danny in the corner, all of the words being his of course, and they turn and wait for the Saints.
Taproot’s “Path Less Taken” plays and LD and Stank are announced. The Saints come out and relish the boos and slowly make their way to the ring. Stank and LD climb onto the apron and smirk at their opponents. Spider points at LD and has a few words with him. LD kind of has that “are you serious?” look on his face as he steps into the ring, walks up to Spider and gets right in his face.
The two start shoving one another and the shoves quickly turn to punches. The referee decides not to try and stop them and just calls for the bell. Spider takes LD to the mat with a double leg take down and hammers him with punches to the side of the head. LD jams his thumb in Spider’s eye, causing the grizzled veteran to howl in pain. Spider rolls off of LD and crawls on his knees to the ropes, LD gets to his feet and charges at Spider and connects with a boot to the side of the head that knocks the big man onto the apron. Spider tries to get to his feet on the apron, but as he stands, Stank charges down the apron and KILLS Spider with a SPEAR! Stank pulls Spider to his feet and rolls him into the ring where LD puts the boots to him, then drags him into the Saints corner and tags in Stank.
Stank steps between the ropes and drops a knee right across Spider’s throat and points a finger in his face and bellows for him to NEVER disrespect the Saints. Stank breaks just before the referee calls for the disqualification, and as he is getting up, he slaps Spider across the face. That sets Spider off. He fights to his feet and catches LD with an elbow to the side of the head that sends the Canadian to the floor. Spider grabs Stank by the head and slams him between the eyes with a headbutt that staggers the big man. Spider tries to charge out of the corner and clothesline Stank, but from the floor LD grabs his leg. When Spider turns around to kick at LD, Stank charges into the corner and levels Spider with a forearm to the back of the head.
Spider collapses in the corner and Stank pulls him out to the middle of the ring, knees him in the gut, then proceeds to repeatedly slam Spider in the face with knees. Spider looks like he may be out of it! Stank grabs Spider and lifts him onto his shoulders for the STANK-U, but Spider slips off of Stank’s shoulders, spins him around and DESTROYS him with a DISCUS CLOTHESLINE! Stank hits the mat hard, but Spider is down too. The referee starts the ten count on both men.
Stank gets to his feet at seven and grabs Spider and pulls him to his feet. Stank tries to whip Spider to the ropes, but Spider reverses it and catches Stank wit ha DOUBLE SLEDGE to the face on the rebound! Stank goes down in a heap and Spider falls on him, one…..two…..NO! LD charges into the ring and slams his knee into the side of Spider’s head breaking up the pin. Spider crawls across the ring and is about to make the tag to Danny, but LD comes back into the ring and distracts the referee just as Spider tags!
Danny comes into the ring, but the referee turns around and orders him out saying there was no tag! Danny protests (as only he can, pointing to Spider, then his hand, and then clapping his hands.) Danny points to the fans who all agree, but the referee never saw it. Meanwhile LD and Stank double team Spider in their corner, beating the veteran to within an inch of his life. Spider fights back valiantly, but the Saints are just too much. Stank dumps Spider over the top rope, then charges across the ring and takes a swing at Danny.
Danny avoids the punch and starts into the ring, but instead stays where he is and points the referee to the outside of the ring where LD is choking Spider with a ringside cord. The ref starts the count and threatens to DQ the Saints, LD finally releases Spider and rolls him under the bottom rope. Stank drops a leg across the back of his head, then rubs his face into the mat. The Saints seem to be in a particularly foul mood tonight.
Stank pulls Spider up and whips him into the corner and charges in after him, but Spider gets a boot up and slams Stank in the face. As Stank staggers toward the Saints corner, he tags in LD, Spider races down the ropes and makes the tag to Danny just before LD can get to him. LD tries to beg off, then tries a kick to Danny’s gut, but Danny catches his leg, spins LD around and lifts him for an ATOMIC DROP! LD flies forward and collides with Stank, who had just come into the ring to help. Danny pulls both of them up DOUBLE NOGGIN KNOCKER! LD falls to the mat while Stank staggers around for a moment, then gets clotheslined over the top rope to the floor by Spider.
Spider and Danny stalk LD for a moment, then each grab a leg. LD pleads with them, but the crowd roars their approval. Danny and Spider grin, then try to tear LD in half! Williams howls and grabs his groin in pain. Danny drops an elbow on LD and tries to lock him into the TNT, but Stank climbs back into the ring and breaks it up with a kick to Danny’s head. Danny gets to his feet and pulls LD up, but while the referee is escorting Stank out, LD hits a LOW BLOW that doubles Danny over! LD gets to his feet and tags Stank back into the match, then darts across the ring and tackles Spider through the ropes, both men fall to the floor and trade punches.
Inside the ring, Stank pulls Danny to his feet and sets him up for a STANK BOMB, but Danny slips free and backs Stank into the corner and repeatedly shoulders him in the gut. Danny backs across the ring and slaps his knee, looks like a running knee to the face for Stank! Danny charges, but Stank reaches into his tights and pulls out a small chain and wraps it around his fist, he moves out of the way and Danny crashes knee first into the turnbuckle, as he staggers backward and faces Stank, Stank BLASTS him with a RIGHT CROSS to the head! Danny drops like a ton of bricks, but the referee saw the whole thing and immediately calls for the bell!
WINNERS in 16:53 by disqualification – Danny Taylor & Spider McNulty
The bell does nothing to stop them. Stank drops to one knee, chain still wrapped around his fist and hammers Danny with shots to the face, opening up a nasty gash on his head. Outside the ring, LD SLAMS a chair into Spider’s gut doubling him over, then brings it down on his back, sending him to the floor. LD then grabs one of the male announcers and pulls his belt off, walks over to Spider and WHIPS HIM LIKE A DOG! Welts immediately raise up on Spiders back, some of them bleeding. The veteran howls in pain and tries to fight to his feet, but LD wraps the belt around his throat and chokes him out.
The crowd roars as the Wild Bunch race to the ring. Tommy and Miranda slide into the ring and tackle Stank to the mat. Miranda lays in some STIFF shots to Stank’s head while Tommy checks on Danny. On the outside Power grabs LD from behind and spins him around and nearly takes his head off with a EUROPEAN UPPERCUT! LD staggers away, right into a punch from Shane. They pinball LD a few times before LD bails over the guardrail and escapes through the crowd. Inside the ring, Miranda pulls Stank up and POPS him with a SUPERKICK to the jaw! Stank staggers and falls, Tommy springs to the top rope and goes for the AIRWALK, but Stank rolls under the bottom rope and escapes up the ramp before any more damage can be done.
Power and Shane help Spider into the ring where they stand with Tommy, Miranda and Danny as the crowd roars.
CRASH & BURN vs. STAN FULTON & MATT FOLZCrash and Burn are out first, to a thunderous reaction from the fans. They pause on the stage to soak it in, then sprint to the ring and slide under the ropes. They pose on the turnbuckles, then criss-cross the ropes to warm up. Matt Folz is out next, and also receives a positive reaction, though not as explosive as his opponents. He strides to ringside and waits as his partner is introduced. The OOWF World Heavyweight Champion, The Crusher Stan Fulton, ignores the boos that rain down upon him as he strolls to the ring. He raises his championship high and glares at the crowd. He shakes hands with Folz, and then they climb into the ring. Referee Angelo Barros gives both teams their instructions, sends them to their corners, and calls for the bell.
Folz and Wilder start out for their teams. They lock up, and Wilder immediately darts around him and grabs a waistlock. he tries for a German suplex, but Folz blocks. Folz breaks the waistlock and spins, throwing a forearm. Wilder ducks it and slams an elbow into his midsection. He takes Folz over with an armdrag and hangs onto the arm, reaching out to make the tag. Miranda vaults the ropes and her partner, landing a kneedrop on Folz’s shoulder. Wilder rolls out to the apron and Miranda takes over the arm, delivering a series of kicks to the shoulder. She pulls Folz to his knees and bars the arm. Folz works his way to his feet. Miranda tries to flip him to the mat, but he blocks and pulls her off balance. Miranda releases the arm and pivots, aiming a kick at his head. Folz ducks it and catches her foot. He knocks her down and tries for the ankle lock, but Miranda twists free before he can tie it on. She rolls to her feet, but runs into a clothesline. Folz catches her before she falls and throws her toward his corner with a release overhead suplex. Folz follows her and drops a knee into her throat, holding her in place and reaching out to tag in the World Champion.
Fulton steps between the ropes and drops an elbow into Miranda's stomach. Folz pulls her up and shoves her into the corner. Fulton gets up a head of steam and crushes her with an avalanche. She stumbles forward, and Fulton scoops her up and slams her to the mat. He goes to the ropes for the Dropline, but Miranda rolls out of the way. She's up and goes to the ropes, but Fulton lurches to his feet and catches her with the Backcut Slam! He covers, but what he doesn't realize is that Wilder made a blind tag. When Fulton gets up to argue with Barros for not counting, Wilder is ready to pop him with a superkick. The champion staggers, but stays on his feet, so Wilder hits a second one. He immediately sprints for the ropes and nails a dropkick that takes the big man down. Wilder springs off the middle rope and hits a moonsault. He hooks the leg, but Fulton powers out at one.
Wilder rolls to his feet and launches himself at Fulton, but the big man stuns him with a forearm and propels him into the corner, where Folz greets him with a forearm of his own. Wilder staggers back, and Fulton picks him up in a waistlock and drives him to the mat. Fulton gets up and stands on Wilder's back while he reaches out and makes the tag. Folz comes in and drops a trio of elbows into the back of Wilder's head before Fulton exits the ring. Folz rolls Wilder over and covers, but Miranda slides into him with a dropkick to break it up. Barros escorts her out of the ring, and Folz pulls Wilder to his feet and slams his head into the the turnbuckles. He makes the tag, and Fulton joins him in pummeling Wilder in the corner. Barros counts, and Fulton moves back. Folz whips Wilder toward him, and Fulton goes for the backcut slam. Wilder goes with the momentum and swings onto Fulton’s shoulders, attempting to turn it into a crucifix. Fulton resists, turning in place. Folz aims a kick at Wilder, but the rotation causes it to connect with Fulton’s head. The champion topples backward and Wilder holds him down for a one count before Folz breaks it up. Fulton gets to his feet, and does not look happy as he and Folz exchange words. Wilder heads for his corner, but Fulton turns and drops a running elbow into his spine. He drags Wilder back to his corner and makes an angry tag.
Folz and Fulton push Wilder into the ropes and send him across the ring. They attempt a flapjack, but Wilder manages to flip over them. He lands behind them and nails Folz with a dropkick as he turns around. Fulton grabs Wilder, but Miranda is in with a chop block. Fulton lets go, and Wilder turns and drives a knee into his gut as Miranda hops over him and spikes him with a bulldog. As Miranda leaves the ring, Wilder stuns Folz with a forearm and launches into the Moe-do. He sends Folz into the Crash and Burn corner and follows him in with a Stinger Splash, making the tag. Crash and Burn sprint at Fulton, who has made it to one knee, and nail him with the Ka-POW (double shining wizard)! They turn and charge back at Folz, hitting a tandem shoulder block. They lift Folz onto the turnbuckles, and Wilder ducks out of the ring and tags back in before they climb up. Blue Sky Black Death! Wilder covers, and Miranda spears Fulton - which doesn’t do much, but keeps him distracted long enough for Barros to count One...Two...Three.
WINNERS, in 16:47, Crash and Burn.
RORY ALBRIGHT vs. TYTAN – OOWF Onslaught Championship MatchTytan makes his way to the ring to mixed applause, as we still aren't sure which way he's going. Rory follows, with Carrie, as usual. The pre-match formalities are attended to, Rory and Tytan shake hands, and the bell rings. Tytan unleashes his big power style and Rory stays with him move for move, maybe getting a bit ahead, being just a hair faster. The mat resounds loudly with each slam and drop, and we are uncertain how either of them could possibly not be losing any teeth. There's a couple of near falls for each of them, but nothing enough to cause either one to lose much momentum. Rory still faces proving himself as a relative newcomer and Tytan needs to show he's still got it. Tytan lifts Rory up and over and into an Olympic Slam and quickly transitions into an ankle lock that has Rory pulling his hair out. He expends a mighty effort to get to the ropes. Tytan pulls him away a few times, but Rory persists and eventually makes it.
Rory Albright has used his first rope break.
Rory gets to his feet and tries to shake some feeling into his leg. Tytan rushes him and Rory drops down with the top rope so that Tytan sails over and lands awkwardly. Rory seizes the opportunity, climbs under the rope and leaps with a flying elbow. THE APOLLO! He gets to his feet and rolls Tytan in one...two...NO! Tytan kicks out. Rory gets him up into position but for the PCB, but Tytan transitions around into a REAR NAKED CHOKE~! They are sort of close to the ropes and Rory reaches out, but can't quite reach. The referee circles around to get a better angle, but now his back is to the outside of the ring. So of course he does not see Carrie, who leans into the bottom rope so he can reach. The referee turns around right AFTER Carrie steps back to call his attention to the rope break.
Rory Albright has used his second rope break.
Tytan loosens the hold, but JUST enough that Rory can get to his feet with Tytan still attached, and slam Tytan to the mat. Rory pounces for another pin, but Tytan kicks out again. Both me get to their feet and take a break in opposite corners before turning almost simultaneously, hitting far ropes and coming out with matching K.O.U.F. OUT~! and WRATH OF GOD~! For those who don't want to look them up, those are both superman punches. Each one connects, and both men fall to the mat, out of it. A "Holy Shit" chant breaks out and the referee is stunned for a minute before he starts the 20 count. He gets to about 10 before there's even a bit of stirring from either man, as Carrie pounds the mat to try and rally Rory. At about twelve they are getting to their feet, and finally both men are sort of standing at about 16. The referee checks that they are sort of conscious and gives the sign to continue. Rory and Tytan lock up again. Tytan pushes Rory away and hits the ropes for the DECAPITATOR~! Rory goes down and Tytan goes for the pin, but NO Rory kicks out. Both men rise again, and Rory RUSHES Tytan into the ring post. He gets him on his shoulder and goes for EL SOL~! Tytan hits the mat, echoing throughout the arena, and just as Rory hooks the leg. BZZZZZZZT! Time has run out.
WINNER – 15:00 time limit draw
Rory and Carrie go up the ramp with Rory making the international symbol of "just by that much," mocking Tytan.
STRENGTH IN SILENCE vs. SAINTS OF SINNERS – OOWF World Tag Team Title MatchThe Saints are announced first and make their way to the ring as “Laser Cannon Deth Sentence” plays. Chloe steps into the ring and glares out at the crowd, wild eyes and insane while Moose just slumps in the corner. The OOWF World Tag Team champions Power and Shane Tuska are announced and make their way to the ring – Spider is not with them, which was surely the Saints plan all along. Power steps into the ring and she and Chloe immediately start brawling around the ring, then fall between the ropes to the floor. Shane starts to go after them, but Moose pulls himself up in the corner and charges at Shane, but Tuska sees him coming and PLANTS Jack with a SPINEBUSTER in the middle of the ring!
Shane is quickly to his feet, Moose spins to his feet as well and nearly gets his head taken off by a spinning heel kick from Tuska that sends Moose staggering into the corner. Tuska charges in and lands a flying forearm to the side of Moose’s head, then lifts him up to the top rope, leaps in the air and connects with a HARD kick to the side of Jack’s head, then grabs Moose and hits a MUSCLE BUSTER! Tuska covers Moose, but Jack kicks out at two.
Outside the ring, security has arrived and they try to pull Power and Chloe apart. Power had another mask made for this match, but as they are pulled apart, Chloe tears it off her head and slings it into the crowd while laughing maniacally. Power screams for security to let go of her, but they refuse and slowly drag her around the ring to her corner. While they are doing this, Chloe breaks free and slides into the ring and waits for Shane to stand, then KILLS him with a LARIAT! Shane never saw it coming. The referee gets Chloe out of the ring and Moose gets to one knee holding his head while Shane is on the mat not quite sure what hit him.
Moose gets to his feet and staggers to his corner and tags in Chloe. Moose then pounces on Shane and traps his arms behind his back and pulls him to a sitting position. Chloe comes in and rains kicks down on Shane’s chest and face. The referee counts four and threatens DQ, but Moose releases Shane and Tuska slumps to the mat. As Jack leaves the ring, Chloe pulls Shane into a CAMEL CLUTCH and glares right at her sister as she repeatedly crossfaces Shane across the face, then grabs him by the hair and SLAMS him face first into the mat. Power can’t take anymore and she comes back in and grabs Chloe and drags her off of Shane by the hair. The referee gets between them and tries to break them up, but in the melee he catches an elbow to the jaw from someone and goes down.
The second the referee goes down, Moose hops off the apron and grabs HDB from under the ring and pulls a couple of strands off of the bat, then slides back in and tries to wrap the wire around Shane’s forehead, but Tuska gets his hands in the way. He still howls in pain as the barbs tear into his hands, but he gets to his feet and backs Moose into the corner, then SLAMS the back of his head into Moose’s face! Jack immediately falls to the mat holding his nose, which is GUSHING blood.
Across the ring, Chloe gets to her feet and Shane darts out of the corner and BLASTS her from behind with the SILENCER! Chloe goes down and Power snarls and grabs her by the hair and pulls her to her feet. Power lifts Chloe in the air with a PRESS SLAM then drops her…….right into a GTS! Chloe’s head snaps back and she hits the mat, Power falls on top of her and covers, but the referee is still out! The crowd counts along ONE……TWO…..THREE….but, since the crowd is not made up entirely of referee’s that doesn’t count.
As Power stand up, Moose is waiting in ambush in the corner, Moose charges for a BUISAKU KNEE right to Power’s unprotected face! But at the last second Shane pushes Power out of the way and Moose’s knee SLAMS right into Tuska’s face! Shane collapses to the mat and Moose immediately pounces and traps Shane in the JI-ENDO! He pulls back and Shane’s eyes begin to roll back in his head. Power tries to charge in, but Chloe grabs her leg and takes her to the mat. Shane tries to fight the move, but it is clear he is pretty well out of it. But once again, there is no referee to stop the match. Power screams for Shane to hold on, then turns and REPEATEDLY kicks Chloe in the face until she lets go of her leg. Power gets to her feet and hits the ropes and nearly decapitates Moose with a CLOTHESLINE! The ring looks like a car wreck, Chloe, Shane and Moose are all down, Power is on one knee in the middle of the ring.
The referee begins to stir and Power grabs Moose, evidently he decides, what the hell, they must be the legal men. Power sends Moose to the ropes and hits a SPEAR! Moose falls to the mat clutching his ribs, but Power is not done, she grabs Moose by the hair and pulls him up and lifts him for the POWER DRIVER, but Moose kicks his legs and Power staggers toward the ropes. Moose kicks harder trying to send them both over the top rope to the floor, but Power shows her impressive strength and balances Jack in the air, then takes him down to the mat JACKHAMMER! Power gets to her feet, hits the ropes again and lands a BIG SPLASH! She covers, one…..two……THREE!
WINNERS in 24:28 and STILL OOWF World Tag Team Champions – Strength in Silence
Power wastes no time, she slides out of the ring and grabs the titles, then pulls Shane out to the floor. Sure enough, Moose and Chloe are struggling to their feet inside the ring, and Stank, LD and Stan are headed toward the ring. Power looks around, not particularly interested in getting trapped, so they hop the guardrail and the crowd parts letting them through. They make it to the second level and finally turn around. Power glares at Chloe and slowly raises her half of the tag titles in the air, and Chloe goes batshit insane inside the ring.
MAI MUYO vs. ALEXIS DARLING – OOWF Intercontinental Title Match“Fighter” plays and Alexis Darling comes out from the back, and nearly gets booed out of the building. She sneers at the crowd then heads to the ring with her nose in the air. Alexis flips over the top rope and lands in the middle of the ring and stands and stares at the fans who once cheered her. She slowly shakes her head and heads to the corner and waits for the champ. “Hero” plays and Mai comes out from the back, and the roof damn near comes off the building. May slowly walks down the ramp, then stops in front of a little girl wearing a MAI TIME t-shirt. Mai poses for a picture, then gives the little girl one of her wristbands. The little girl almost explodes with joy. Mai is grinning ear to ear as she heads to the ring, but as soon as she steps onto the apron, her demeanor changes and she glares at Alexis. Mai steps between the ropes, never taking her eyes off of Lexie and takes off the title and holds it high in the air and the crowd roars. The ref calls for the bell and the match is ready to go.
The two move to the middle of the ring and lock up, Lexie immediately goes to the eyes, then grabs Mai and slams her face first into the turnbuckle repeatedly. Mai staggers backward and Lexie charges at the ropes, springs off the middle rope and nails Mai right in the throat with a back elbow. Mai hits the mat and Lexie covers, but Mai kicks out at two.
Alexis pulls Mai to her feet and chokes her on the top rope, breaks at four, then chokes her for another four count before slingshotting her back into the ring. Mai rolls through to her feet and Alexis tries a clothesline, but Mai ducks it. Alexis tries to spring off the middle rope again, but this time Mai catches her and DRIVES her down across her knee. Lexie hits the mat and grabs her back and howls in pain. Mai pulls Lexie to her feet, scoops her up and runs her into the corner and slams into the turnbuckle then drives her to the mat with a POWERSLAM! Mai covers, but Alexis kicks out at two. Mai keeps Lexie on the mat and flips her over and drives a knee into the small of her back, then pulls her into a BOW AND ARROW! Alexis howls in pain and the referee is right there to ask her if she wants to quit, but Lexie refuses. After several agonizing minutes, Mai breaks the hold and Alexis falls to the mat and rolls under the bottom or the ring to the floor.
Alexis gets to her feet and grabs her back. She limps around the ring to the Spanish Announce Table, Mai leaves the ring and grabs Lexie, but Alexis falls to the ground and begs off. When the referee isn’t looking, we see Alexis has a steel pipe in her hand! She CRACKS it across Mai’s knee! Mai falls to the ground in agony, holding her knee. Lexie gets to her feet and puts the boots to Mai, then lays her foot on a chair and leaps in the air and drops a knee across Mai’s knee! Mai’s leg may be broken!
Lexie rolls Mai into the ring and covers, but Mai kicks out at two. Lexie pulls her to her feet and grabs her leg, lifts her in the air and drives her down across her knee, knee first. Mai falls to the mat, but Lexie keeps hold of her leg and flips her over into the MONEY CLIP! You can tell Mai is in tremendous pain. She looks like she is going to tap any moment, Lexie screams for her to give up before she snaps her leg. The crowd starts roaring for Mai and Mai gets a look of grim determination on her face and starts crawling toward the ropes, dragging Lexie along with her.
After what had to feel like an eternity, Mai grabs the bottom rope and forces the break. Lexie keeps the hold on until the referee is about to call for the bell, then finally breaks. She grabs Mai’s leg and pulls her right back to the middle of the ring and sets up for a figure four, but when she leans in to grab Mai’s leg, Mai pulls her in for an INSIDE CRADLE for a two count.
Alexis springs to her feet and pounces on Lexie and hammers her with punches to the face. Mai shows off her power by catching one of Lexie’s punches and pulling her to the mat. Mai traps Lexie’s arm and tries a FUJIWARA ARM BAR, but Alexis grabs her own arm and tries to pull it free. Mai repeatedly slams her leg down across Lexie’s face until she lets go, then Mai falls back to the mat and now it is Lexie’s turn to howl in pain. Alexis makes no attempt to break the hold, she immediately works her way to the ropes and forces the break.
Aleixs slips out of the ring and sits on the apron trying to get the feeling back in her arm, Mai grabs her over the ropes and pulls her to her feet, but Alexis grabs her head and GUILLOTINES her on the top rope! Mai falls back to the middle of the ring, and Alexis heads to the corner and starts to climb. Mai gets to her feet and limps to the corner and grabs Lexie to throw her off the turnbuckle, but Lexie SLAMS her knee into Mai’s face. Mai staggers away to the middle of the ring, when she turns around, Lexie leaps with a FLYING CROSS BODY, she slams into Mai and they both hit the mat, but Mai rolls through and hooks Lexie’s leg HARD one……two…..THREE!
WINNER in 16:56 – and STILL OOWF Intercontinental Champion – Mai Muyo
Lexie cannot believe what just happened. She grabs the referee and screams in his face that it wasn’t a three count. The referee argues with her, so Lexie hauls off and NAILS him with a punch to the side of the head! That is gonna cost her. Mai sees what happened and grabs Lexie from behind and LAUNCHES her over the top rope to the floor. Lexie gets up and screams in anger, and stalks to the back as the referee serenades her with NA NA NA NA NA, NA NA NA NA, HEY HEY HEY, GOODBYE. Lexie is LIVID.
Mai remains for a moment and celebrates her win, then limps toward the ropes and leaves the ring and starts up the ramp, walking very gingerly on her injured knee. As she is at the top of the ramp, she stops and waves to the crowd, thinking this is the end of the show, but Ecosystem comes out with a mic in hand. He stops and looks at his sister, then gives her a big hug, then heads to the ring. Mai eyes him strangely, then heads to the back.
The lights go down and the OOTron reads: SPECIAL REPORT FROM THE GENERAL MANAGER. Ring crew bustles around the ring until a single spotlight comes up, highlighting Ecosystem at a podium alone, OOWF Banner behind him. Eco holds up an old worn book.
Eco: “Sex, Lies and Headlocks.” This is the sort of book Vince McMahon has had written about his life. It doesn’t matter how much is true, because he has lied about so much of it. Sometimes lying pays off – the Screwjob gives you the Attitude Era, and without that golden era, the OOWF never comes to be. But lying can also kill. Vince not facing wrestling’s drug problem claimed hundreds of lives, and three of those lives – the Benoit family – almost took the industry down with them. This is a shoot, folks, but it’s all a shoot. At its heart, the OOWF is an honest company. Too honest. You fans see far more of our vulnerabilities and pains than any responsible business would allow you to see. For the last few months, I tried to do business differently. Hide the ball. Paper over wrongdoing. But “all that is secret will eventually be brought into the open,” as Mai would remind me. So Mai, you deserve the truth. Danny deserves the truth. Everyone in the back, and all the great people of Grassy Butte, North Dakota (pop!) deserve the truth!
The truth is…I hit Danny Taylor.
The crowd boos like mad. Eco just looks forelorn.
Eco: I did my best to cover up my involvement, and now, I can’t lie any longer. But I need you to believe me when I say, that it was a complete accident. I never meant to hit Danny.
Eco pauses and leans against the ropes looking down. The crowd is booing a bit, but mostly in silence. Eco looks up, wipes his eyes…and then a grin crosses his face.
Eco: I meant to hit Victor.
/Now/ the crowd is fucking booing.
Russ: AW SON OF A BITCH!
Eco: Roll the tape!
ON SCREEN: We see Danny and Victor walking along in the parking garage, Victor walking ahead of Danny. Suddenly, Victor stops short, checking something on his phone, and Danny absentmindedly strolls ahead of him – when he is NAILED by the car. The crowd cringes. We follow the car as it drives off – and sure enough, Ecosystem pops his head out of the front seat, audibly curses, and drives off.Eco: Since when do cell phones actually stop people from getting hit, huh? ("ECO SUCKS! ECO SUCKS!") Oh, I’m sorry, you want an answer. Why, Junichiro, why?
Let’s rewind the clock for a minute, okay? I have built my legacy on one thing. And that is making people great. Better than they ever could be. Taking Moosehead Jack out of his dingy fight clubs and bringing him to the bright lights. Taking an idiot like Voltage and making him a Tag Team Champion – and dragging him away from his drugs again later, not to mention what I did for Bryce Larson. Taking the raw material of Tytan and making him a World Champion twice over – he doesn’t give me the credit, and that’s fine by me, because I love that man all the same. Taking Firewoman and – for a brief shining moment – freeing her from her neuroses, and while I don’t ask you or her to respect every decision I made, I ask you to really honestly consider Firewoman’s life outside my care and to recognize that I was trying to give her something better. Taking the Crusher Stan Fulton from a walking joke about to walk out the door and making him a Grand Slam Champion.
Oh, and did I mention I built this fucking company? Did I mention that you’re all here because of Junichiro Muyo? ("ECO SUCKS! ECO SUCKS!") This isn’t arrogance people, this is the whole fucking point.
See, I move on from one challenge to another, reaching higher and higher as I unlock the potential of others. And no one has greater untapped potential than Dynamite Daniel Taylor. Danny Taylor, the Face of the Motherfucking Decade. Sorry, some of you don’t hear the “smart” terminology much, but let me explain to you what a face is. A face is someone who plays life on a handicap. Who runs the race with massive leg weights. It’s an admirable challenge, to be sure, but after a while watching, all you want to know is how the person performs without that burden.
Everyone has tried to drag Danny down into the moral abyss. Everyone. But whether it’s Moosehead Jack as corruptor of souls, or Alexander as Apollo Creed, no one breaks Danny. And that’s because Danny kept a lifeline. Dashing. Victor. Dinero. Even when Victor points him in the wrong direction, Danny looks into his best friend’s eyes, and he remembers what it’s like outside this horrorscape that I created. He remembers that he has to look himself in the mirror when he leaves this business – and he intends to leave, not die in the ring like Moosehead Jack – and that he needs to respect the man he sees in that mirror, if only a little.
But Danny, I did not want to afford you that luxury of respect. Because you have the potential to be great. And great men, from Caesar to Clinton, are detestable. They cannot be anything else.
The plan wasn’t complicated, folks. Take Victor out. Leave Danny alone. Take him under my wing, no matter how long it took. And unleash the Dynamite upon the world. The action was evil, and I knew that, so I did it myself. I put it on no one else’s soul. I was ready to sacrifice my own soul to make Danny great.
But Victor got a text at the wrong time, and Danny strolled forward.
I tried to make lemons into lemonade. To twist him, to make him resent the roster. I placed calls and had every get-well card withheld, every phone call redirected. Yes, they could have tried harder, but they certainly tried. But good ol’ Vic never left his side. Oh, believe me, I tried to play all the intensive care and transfer cards I could, but doctors are harder to play than lawyers, and Vic is very good at what he does. So what was I left with? A Danny Taylor who loved Vic even more, and came close to walking away altogether.
Ecosystem shakes his head, and smirks.
Eco: So be it. I missed my shot. You can’t spend all day on potential. If Linus turns 18 and still refuses to let go of his blanket, you can’t admit him to Harvard. And in my accidental travels, I found a man actually willing to let go of his blankets, actually willing to set aside every self-imposed barrier. That man is a fighter like no other, a ring technician without peer, and your next Grand Slam Champion…the LIONHEART, Christopher Evans.
The crowd is booing the heck out of the name of Eco’s business associate, but quickly begins chanting for “DAN-NY TAY-LOR! (clap, clap, clapclapclap)”
Eco: You want Danny, I know. And Danny wants me, I’m sure. If I didn’t have my fancy security blocking every entrance (spotlights cut and show the top of the ramp and stairways with security), he’d probably be trying to take my head off by now. But trust me, Danny, I’m not trying to duck you. What I want tonight is just a little bit of space to speak to you directly.
Danny, you and I have something important in common. We both know what it means to be the outcast. And as men in particular, we struggle in ways that the women here who are similarly…oriented…might not be. We have never been able to take our masculinity for granted.
But that’s where the similarity ends. Because when the world hated you, you were unwilling to hate the world back. When the world called you you suck and are banned, you refused to punch it in the jaw. I could strike you in the face a hundred times and you would turn the other cheek, and the fact that you are unwilling even to admit what a good man you are pisses me off even more. You held my sister’s hand in the hospital when I wasn’t there, Danny, and I both love and hate you for that.
But now you’re out of options, Danny. If I had really been going after you, maybe you’d find it in your heart to fight quickly and move on. But I was going after Victor, your heart, your light, your soul. You HAVE to face me as a man now, Danny. There is no choice left. The only choice left to you is whether you will actually give in to the hatred in your heart…or whether you will choose to “Rise Above Hate.”
Knowing you, Danny, I think you will try to “rise above.” And when you do, I will put you on your back and you will see Christopher Evans rise far above you, as he attains the Grand Slam championship before you can even sniff such an honor.
But if this time is different…if this time, it’s too far, it’s too much, and you’re willing to shatter every bone in my body and enjoy my suffering…well, I’ve been a martyr twice before. And whether you cave my head in with a shovel like Tytan or throw me into a flaming cell wall like Firewoman, I promise you that with my death and resurrection, I will claim your soul.
My name is Junichiro Muyo. And Junichiro Muyo always wins.
Ecosystem walks away from the podium, smug and self-satisfied.
