TEXPRESS vs. HOLY SPIRIT SQUAD vs. BANNED FROM EVERYWHERE – OOWF World Tag Team Title Double Jeopardy MatchBanned from Everywhere are out first, riding Drunkey and Drunkette, and accompanied by Ellie May on the Likkercycle (or whatever the hell they call that thing). Justin and Bill circle the ring, greeting the fans, before climbing through the ropes. The Holy Spirit Squad are out next. Mai skips to ringside, while Stan walks behind her, carefully stepping around a present left by Drunkey. They climb into the ring and pose, and then head to their corner. Both challenging teams receive a warm reaction, but it pales in comparison to the explosion as the OOWF Tag Team Champions, step onto the stage. Chad Madison and Zane Meyers make their way to ringside, greeting the fans, and climb into the ring. They hold their Championships high before handing them to referee Angelo Barros, who displays them to the crowd and hands them to ringside. Barros calls all three teams to the middle of the ring and explains the rules - the match is non-elimination, but the winning team will have to pin both of the other teams to get the victory. Barros calls for the bell, handshakes are exchanged all round, and then everyone but Chad and Justin head to their corners.
Chad and Justin circle and lock up. Justin executes a go behind and hits a release German suplex. Chad flips in the air and lands on his feet. Justin turns around and eats a dropkick. He rolls to his feet and Chad goes to the ropes and drops him with a shoulder block. Chad continues to the opposite ropes and hits a clothesline as Justin gets up. A third trip to the ropes and Chad goes for a leg drop but Justin rolls out of the way. Justin goes to the ropes himself and hits a diving clothesline. He pulls Chad up and into a headlock. Chad shoots him off. Justin grabs the ropes to stop his momentum. Chad rushes him and runs into a super kick. Justin grabs Chad before he falls and bundles him into the BFE corner. He makes the tag, and he and Bill pummel Chad in the corner. They each duck under an arm and hit a tandem suplex. Both Bill and Justin leap to their feet and run around the ring with their arms outstretched, making airplane noises. Justin drops to his knees in the middle of the ring and curls into a ball. Bill stands behind him and loops his arms above Justin’s head. The crowd picks up on the intent…
“BANNED!”
…both men stretch out their arms straight ahead…
“FROM!”
…Justin kicks out his legs…
“EVERYWHERE!”
As Justin and Bill drink in the resulting cheers, the camera cuts to their opponents. Chad is sitting against the turnbuckles in his corner, holding his head and grinning. Zane stands behind him, shaking his head and fighting a smile. In the opposite corner, Mai is openly laughing, while Stan has his face buried in the top turnbuckle and his shoulders are shaking. BFE look at them, then each other, and share a shrug. Justin strolls to the HSS corner and tags in Mai.
Chad levers himself to his feet and meets Mai in the middle of the ring. They lock up and Mai drops her knees and hits a double leg takedown. She hangs on and flips over him into a pin and gets a one count. She rolls to her feet off the kickout and pegs him with a dropkick. Mai goes to the ropes and drops a knee into his throat. She covers again, but Chad kicks out before one. They both get to their feet. Mai grabs Chad’s ram and winds it, but Chad reverses and sends her to the ropes. Mai ducks a clothesline and comes back full speed and slides between Chad’s legs. Chad turns around - right into a European uppercut. He staggers, and Mai sends him into the HSS corner and makes the tag.
Stan plants himself in the middle of the ring and Mai whips Chad towards him - right into a massive side slam. Stan makes a cover, but Chad rolls a shoulder in time. Stan pulls Chad up and stuns him with a massive head butt, and then drives him to the mat with a belly-to-belly suplex. He covers, and gets another long two count. Stan is up and stomps Chad into the mat, and then goes to the ropes. He goes for the Dropline, but Chad rolls out of the way. Chad is on his feet and stuns Stan with a super kick, and then follows up with a beautiful standing dropkick. It knocks the big man off balance but not off his feet. Chad goes to the ropes and hits Stan with a flying forearm, sending him into the corner. Chad works Stan over with chops and forearms and tries an Irish whip. Stan reverses and sends Chad into the BFE corner. He follows him in, but Chad moves out of the way of an avalanche. Stan slams into the corner and turns around, and Chad takes him over with a monkey flip. As he does, Awesome Bill slaps Stan on the back, tagging himself into the match.
Chad follows up the monkey flip by going to the ropes and landing a leg drop on Stan. He covers, but Barros points out that Stan is no longer legal. Chad gets up - and Bill sends him to the ropes and levels him with a big boot. Bill stomps Chad into the mat, and then scoops him up for a body slam. Chad shoves off and drops behind him. Bill turns around and Chad attempts a dropkick, but Bill catches his legs and Chad slams head-first into the mat. Bill rolls him over into a Boston crab, but Chad is close enough to reach the ropes for the break. Bill releases the hold and drives an elbow into Chad’s back, and then hauls him up and sends him to the ropes. Chad ducks a back elbow and comes back with a crossbody. Bill snags him out of the air and snaps him over with a power slam. He hooks both legs and rolls him up, and Barros slides into position and counts One…Two…Three!
Banned From Everywhere defeat Texpress to capture the first fall.
Chad kicks out a split second after the three. He sits up and the only one that looks more shocked than him is Awesome Bill himself. Justin jumps into the ring, and Bill catches him in a bear hug. As Banned from Everywhere celebrate, Chad crawls to his corner and makes the tag to Zane. Barros chases Justin out of the ring and calls for the start of the second fall.
Awesome Bill and Zane lock up and the clubbering begins as chops turn to forearms and then to punches. Zane gets the advantage and backs Bill into the neutral corner. He buries a knee in Bill’s midsection and takes him over with a gut wrench suplex. Zane sits Bill up and delivers a series of forearms to the back of his head. Zane drags Bill to his feet and sets him up for a suplex, but Bill blocks. Bill breaks free with elbows to the gut, and then stuns him with a forearm across the jaw. In a surprising moment of clarity, Bill sends Zane into the HSS corner and motions for them to make the tag. Stan backs off, but Mai happily slaps Zane on the shoulder and hops into the ring. She runs at Bill, who tries to grab her, but she slides between his legs. Bill turns around, and Mai dropkicks his knee. Bill drops to one knee, and Mai hits the ropes behind him and plants him with a bulldog. Mai bounces to her feet and drives a knee into Bill’s shoulder, and then locks him in an armbar. Bill works his way to his feet. Mai winds the arm another rotation and springs off the second rope, arm dragging him toward the HSS corner. Still holding the arm, she reaches out and tags in Stan.
Stan drops a leg across Bills shoulder. As Mai rolls out of the ring, he drags Bill to his feet and hits a shoulder breaker. He makes a cover, but only gets two. Stan hauls Bill up and sends him to the ropes. Stan ducks his head a moment too soon and Bill stands him up with a kick to the face. He follows up with a headbutt that staggers the big man. Bill tries for a swinging neck breaker, but Stan spears him back into the turnbuckles. Stan sends Bill across the ring and follows him into the Champions’ corner with an avalanche. Bill reaches out blindly and tags in Zane.
Zane spins Stan around and rocks him with a European uppercut. Stan stumbles back into Bill, who grabs him in a full nelson and drives him face-first into the mat. Bill rolls out of the ring, and Zane drags Stan up and plants him with a belly-to-belly suplex. He hooks the leg, but Stan kicks out at two. Zane pulls Stan to his feet and chops him back to the ropes. He attempts an Irish whip, but Stan reverses. Stan catches Zane with a monstrous spinebuster, but Zane hooks his head mid-move and turns it into a DDT as well. Both men are down and possibly out, and Barros starts to count. At four, Zane starts to stir. He rolls over and crawls toward his corner, where Chad is bouncing on the bottom rope, cheering him on. Zane reaches out - and Stan grabs his foot and drags him back. Zane rolls over and kicks at Stan, but Stan hangs on and stomps on the champion. Stan ties up Zane’s leg and falls back, reaching out to make the tag to Mai.
Mai springs to the top rope and leaps over her partner to land a double stomp to Zane. As Stan rolls out of the ring, she goes to the ropes and hits a lionsault. She hooks the leg, but Zane kicks out at two. Mai rolls to her feet and attacks Zane’s legs with a series of hard kicks. She knocks him to one knee and goes to the ropes. As she rebounds, Zane launches himself to his feet and turns her inside out with a clothesline. He drags her up, sends her to the ropes, and levels her with a back elbow. He drops an elbow across her throat, but foregoes a cover to pull Mai to her feet. He lifts her up for the Border Toss and gets a running start, but Mai hangs on with her legs at the throw and snaps him over with a hurricanrana. They land hard, but Mai rolls on landing and grabs Zane’s legs and flips over him, rolling him up. Chad is in as Barros slides into position, but Stan cuts him off with an (almost) flying tackle. Barros counts One…Two…Three!
The Holy Spirit Squad defeat Texpress to capture the second fall.
Zane and Chad both roll to the outside, looking shellshocked. Stan helps his partner to her feet and the HSS share a hug. To their credit, the Champions maintain their composure as they discuss their situation, but they’re clearly fighting from a deficit at this point - they need to defeat two teams before either beats the other - two teams that have nothing to gain by facing them further in this match. Texpress climb back into the ring and Chad tags back into the match as Barros starts the next fall.
Mai faces Chad in the middle of the ring. Mai ducks a lockup, grabs his arm, and sends him into the BFE corner. Chad hits the turnbuckles and immediately bounces into a forward roll, clearing the corner before either Justin or Bill can tag themselves in. Chad comes to his feet and catches a kick from Mai. He spins her around and snaps off an arm drag. Mai rolls to her feet and walks into a second one. Chad springs off the second rope and drops a leg across her throat. He makes a quick cover, but only gets one. Chad is up first, and catches Mai with a standing dropkick as she gets to her feet. Chad pulls Mai up, winds her arm, and drags her to the Texpress corner. Zane tags in and comes off the second rope with an elbow to Mai’s shoulder. He takes over the arm and winds it again. Mai uses the ropes to backflip out of it, but Zane releases her arm and pivots, knocking her off her feet with a clothesline. Zane hauls Mai up into a waistlock and hits a release German suplex, but Mai flips and lands on her feet. She tries to sweep Zane’s legs, but he grabs her by the throat and DRIVES her into the mat with a chokeslam. Zane covers, but Stan breaks it up with an elbow. Zane rolls away, but strays too close to the BFE corner, and Justin tags himself into the match. Justin covers Mai, and Barros counts One…Two…Thr – Mai kicks out!
Justin pulls Mai up into a front facelock. He tries to hit a DDT, but Mai drops to her knees to block. She drives an elbow into his midsection, and then lunges to her feet and snaps him over with a northern lights suplex. She bridges, and gets a long two count. Mai heads to her corner, but Justin grabs her leg. She turns and levels him with an Enzugiri, and then dives to make the tag.
Stan storms across the ring and levels Justin with a clothesline. Bill is in and gets the same. Stan knocks Justin down with a back elbow, and then drops Bill with a forearm. Justin is sent across the ring, and Stan lifts him into a Gorilla press. Stan throws Justin at Bill, who manages to catch his partner, only for both of them to be avalanched into the corner. Justin stumbles out and Stan plants him with a belly-to-belly suplex, but Bill falls on him before he can make a pin. Stan hauls Justin up and claps him across the ears, and then sends him into the corner. He charges, but Justin gets his feet up. Justin hops to the middle turnbuckle and leaps over Stan, grabbing him for a sunset flip. Stan grabs the top rope to keep his balance and drops, but Justin slips out of the way. Justin crawls to his corner and makes the tag.
BFE each grab an arm and send Stan to the ropes. Twin elbows send the big man to the mat, and then Bill scoops up his partner and slams him onto Stan. Justin rolls out of the ring and Bill covers, but Stan powers out at two. Bill drops a series of knees into Stan’s head and then sits him up. He hits the ropes and goes for the Elijay Express, but whiffs when Stan drops to the mat. Bill staggers, and Stan rolls him up, scoring a two count. Both men get to their feet and start throwing haymakers. Bill starts to get the advantage, but Stan battles back with a head butt, followed by the Clear Cut. He goes to the ropes and hits the Dropline. He rolls to his feet and goes for a second one, not realizing that when he hit the ropes for the first Zane stretched himself to the limits of the tag rope and tapped him on the back. As Stan goes to the ropes Zane hits him with a brutal spear that drives him back onto Bill. Stan rolls out of the ring and Zane drags Bill to the Texpress corner. He tags Chad, and then lifts Bill up as Chad scales the ropes. Dropkick Device! Chad hooks the leg, and Barros counts One…Two…Justin is in, but Zane cuts him off…Three!
Texpress defeat Banned From Everywhere to capture the third fall.
As Texpress celebrate their victory, Zane strays close enough to the HSS corner for Mai to slap him on the back and tag herself in. She springboards off the top rope and lands a beautiful frog splash on Bill. She hooks the leg, but Texpress drop tandem elbows to break the cover. While Barros ushers the champions out of the ring, Mai drags Bill to her corner and makes the tag.
The Holy Spirit Squad lift Bill onto the top turnbuckle. They both climb to the second rope and take him over with a tandem superplex. Stan covers, but Justin dives across the ring to make the save. Justin grabs his partner and tries to drag him to their corner, but Stan pulls him back. They play tug of war with Bill until Mai pops Justin with a super kick. Stan scoops Bill onto his shoulder and power slams him into the corner. He makes the tag and climbs onto the second turnbuckle. Mai scales the ropes and climbs onto his shoulders. She leaps straight up and hits a 450 splash on Awesome Bill. Mai covers, and Barros slides into location to count One…Two…Th - Chad breaks up the pin!
Mai drags Bill to his feet as Chad is escorted out of the ring. She doubles him over with a series of kicks to the ribs, and then springs off the middle rope and hits a flying bulldog. She covers, but Bill gets a foot on the ropes to prevent the pin. Mai drags Bill to his feet and tries to shove him back to her corner, but he reverses and sends her into the BFE corner. He follows her in, but Mai moves out of the way. Bill slams into the turnbuckles, and Mai tries to hit a lung blower, but Bill reaches back and flips her over the ropes. Mai lands on the apron and skips along it, and then drops Bill with a springboard dropkick. She rolls to her feet and goes to the ropes - hand spring elbow! She covers, but Bill kicks out at two. She tries to pull Bill to his feet, and he nails her with a roaring elbow. Bill sends Mai to the ropes and goes to the opposite ropes himself, but Mai matrixes under his flying clothesline. Bill crashes and burns, tumbling close enough to the Champions’ corner for Chad to make the blind tag.
Chad springs off the top rope and hits a missile dropkick. He sits Mai up and delivers a kick to the back, then goes to the ropes and hits a dropkick to the face. He covers, but Mai rolls a shoulder at two. Chad pulls Mai to her feet and sends her into the Champions’ corner, following her in with a lariat and making the tag. Zane lifts Mai for a suplex and holds her there long enough for Stan to decide to step in – only to be cut off by Barros - and then drives her to the mat. He rolls them back to their feet and hits a gourdbuster, and follows that up with a slingshot suplex. He floats over into a cover, but this time Stan makes it in and drops an elbow to break it up. Chad is in as well, and so are Banned From Everywhere – after forty-five minutes and three pinfalls we have our first pier six brawl! BFE send Stan to the ropes and follow him across the ring, knocking the big man to the outside with a tandem clothesline. They turn around – and are blasted out of the ring by a double clothesline from Zane. Meanwhile, Chad catches a kick from Mai, spins her around, and plants her with an inverted DDT. Zane joins him, and they send Mai to the ropes – double dropkick! Zane makes the cover and Barros slides into position as Chad vaults over the ropes onto the brawl on the floor. One…Two…Three!
WINNERS, and still OOWF Tag Team Champions, in 48:09, The Texpress.
After the Match: Chad grabs the championships from the timekeeper’s table and slides into the ring. He hands one to Zane, and the Champions scale the turnbuckles and hold the belts high, drinking in the adoration of the crowd. They jump down and turn around to find all four of their opponents lined up in the ring. After a tense moment, Stan puts out his hand, and handshakes are exchanged all around. The crowd’s cheers redouble as Champions and challengers stand in the ring, arms raised.
After a few minutes, champions and challengers leave the ring and head to the back.
As the Holy Spirit Squad get to the top of the ramp and the lights go out. A minute passes and finally the lights in the arena go on, but only around the perimeter. The ring is eerily dark. Then lights go on from the ring, but they’re shining out at the crowd? We all wondered why those were there.
A figure can be just made out in the ring, but with the lights shining in everyone’s eyes no one can tell who it is.Russ: Can anyone see who it is?
Nash: Pretty sure it’s the OOWF’s famed consultant. I for one have been waiting to hear what he has to say.
Razz: Almost as long as we’ve been waiting for you to pick up a check.
Russ: Looks like he has a mic.
The cameras try to focus on the person in the ring, but to no avail. The microphone s/he holds is set to alter his/her voice.S/HE: “Well, well, well. You lost again, didn’t you, Stan? You’re a huge failure and no one in this company wants you around. You claim that you needed to face your accuser and here I am. I’m telling you right now, that .... YOU’RE FIRED!”
Fulton starts down the ramp, but Mai holds him back. Audience mics faintly pick up what they say.MM: “Stan, no. That’s just what they want. We can do this a better way.”
SF: “I need to face him... or her. I need to do this, Mai. Whatever happens, I’ve been honored to be your partner and your friend.”
Mai looks sad as Fulton starts towards the ring.S/HE: “Hold on, hold on, big fella. There are hundreds of Dayton’s finest in this arena and you’ll be hauled away if you put your hands on me.”
Fulton doesn’t seem to take that warning seriously and keeps walking to the ring.S/HE: “That’s far enough, Stan. You’re no longer an employee of the OOWF and therefore I’m telling security to escort you from the arena. Security! Security?!”
Fulton has reached ringside. He climbs up on the apron and finally sees who it is that’s been tormenting him for all these weeks. The lights facing out from the ring swing up and over shining their pristine, white light on the center of the ring.Razz: Oh my dear, Lord.
Russ: It’s ECOSYSTEM!
Nash: Junichiro has been a thorn in Stan Fulton’s side for a long time. Ever since Fulton won the Intercontinental title that Eco awarded to himself less than two weeks before. Juni’s a shrewd executive and he’s just completed his revenge.
Razz: How did Eco become the consultant?! He was for all intents and purposes run out of here on a rail?
Russ: Let’s see if he says.
Fulton has climbed into the ring and is nose-to-nose, well as close as Fulton can get with his prodigious torso, to Junichiro Muyo.Eco:
(normally as the mic’s alterations have been turned off) “Hello, Stan.”
SF: “Juni. Why?”
Eco: “Why? WHY?! WHY?!!!? You stole my title! You were the start of my downfall, Stanley! You even stole my sister from me! You took EVERYTHING I EVER CARED ABOUT!”
SF:
(rather calmly) “I took nothing that you didn’t throw away, Juni. You don’t have to do this.”
Eco: “Yes I do, Stan.
(calming down) Life is circle, Stan, and we’ve come back around. What you’ve taken from me, I now take from you. Now get out of my ring, pack up your things and go home.”
Fulton looks like he’s going to slug Juni, but he’s not that type of person anymore. His head drops and he leaves the ring. He gets to the top of the ramp and Mai is there with tears in her eyes, in complete disbelief. Stan rests his hand on Mai’s shoulder and leaves the arena.
Mai drops to her knees and sobs as the lights slowly fade out. Before they do we can hear maniacal laughter coming from the middle of the ring.Russ: Are you KIDDING ME? What on EARTH is Ecosystem doing back in the OOWF? I thought that guy had been permanently exiled from wrestling?
Razz: Looks like he didn’t get the memo
Nash: Hey that is just what the OOWF needs, a little more insanity!
Russ: This development certainly takes away from another brilliant Texpress title win. In all my years of wrestling, I may not have ever seen a finer team. Just outstanding. Then to have a fantastic match marred by Ecosystem. Reprehensible!
Razz: And it doesn’t look like he is in any mood to be reasoned with either
Nash: And why should he be? He is the founder. He knows his words carry weight. The only way you are going to stop Eco for good, is to somehow get the OOWF away from him for good, and with the money he already has, I have no idea how you accomplish something like that.
Russ: This is just too much, first we may have had a double homicide in the ring, and now Eco comes back. Let’s head to something less depressing, I hope. Next up, Danny Taylor faces one of the most dangerous men on the OOWF roster. I am not sure what happened to this guy, once upon a time he was a fun-loving mountain dew drinking ball of energy, but somewhere something went terribly wrong with him
Razz: Well, he went to Japan and discovered his serious side
Nash: See, Japan ruins everything
Razz: I wouldn’t say it ruined him, but it certainly did change him. Some would say for the better, others would not. I will say this, this cat works on a whole different plane than most of us. Half the time I don’t understand what he is talking about
Nash: To be fair, half the time you didn’t understand what Dr. Seuss was talking about either
Razz: Hey Nash! Laugh it up, have a good time, but oh, hey, don’t laugh too hard, you might blow a quad
Russ: Back to the point, Danny Taylor is coming off a match against Moosehead Jack, in which he won rather convincingly. I think Danny is finally hitting his stride here in the OOWF, with the demise of Drink and Destroy, Danny has had to step it up and carry the mantle on his own, I think THIS is a guy we are going to be talking about a lot in the future
Nash: Taylor is a great wrestler. I am not sure I get his whole reluctance to throw down and use a weapon now and then, but that’s his bag, so be it.
Razz: He is a rare breed, he can win without resorting to that, I respect that. He is going to have his hands full with Rabbit, as Rabbit is more concerned with dropping him on his head than winning the intercontinental title
Russ: Folks we are ready to go, let’s head to the ring!DANNY TAYLOR vs. RABBIT MASK – OOWF Intercontinental Title MatchOOWF announcer Robert Johns climbs back into the ring.
RJ: “The following match is for one fall... and is for the OOWF Intercontinental Championship!”
The lights go out and the entrance way is swallowed up in a white fog. The sounds of “Another Me” proceed Rabbit Mask as he steps through the fog into a white spotlight. He makes his way to the ring, gives the referee, Mel Creech, a sneer as he walks to a corner. The crowd gets a stare as well as the fog lifts.
“Here Comes the Boom” signals the arrival of the Intercontinental Champion. Dynamite Danny Taylor steps through the curtain along with his manager, Dashing Victor Deniro, and the crowd goes nuts. Taylor, however, doesn’t give them much notice as his eyes are locked on the challenger in the ring. Deniro gives Taylor one last word of advice and then Taylor climbs in between the ropes.
RJ: “First the challenger! In the corner to my left, weighing in at 210 pounds. He hails from Kyoto, Japan. Rabbit Mask!”
The crowd boos heartily.
RJ: “And in the corner to my right, he comes from Long Beach, California and weighed in today at 267 pounds. He is the reigning and defending OOWF Intercontinental Champion, Dynamite Danny Taylor!”
The crowd roars appreciatively and Johns steps out as Mel Creech goes over the rules. Taylor never takes his eyes off Rabbit Mask while Creech speaks, but the camera catches him mouth the word “Boom” as the bell rings. This one is underway!
RM wastes no time and rushes DDT, laying into the champion with stiff right forearm shots and mixing in a couple of closed fist punches. This backs Taylor up to the corner and Rabbit isn’t giving any ground. Mel Creech starts a five-count and finally manhandles Rabbit out of the corner. RM gives Creech a good talking to about how quick the count was and then rushes back in.
This time, Taylor is ready and sidesteps Rabbit who crashes into the turnbuckle. As he rebounds, Taylor lifts him up and over with a nice belly-to-back suplex. RM rolls out of the ring and gives Taylor a mocking golf clap.
RM is taking his time on the outside and Creech begins the count, but Taylor comes over to the ropes to motion RM back inside causing the count to restart. RM hops on the apron and jumps right back off. This also resets the count. Rabbit does this more than a few times and Taylor has had enough. He slides out of the ring on the opposite side and runs around the ring. Rabbit’s ready for him and slides into the ring and exits immediately to the left side of where he entered. Taylor is angry as all get out. He slams the top ropes with his hands in frustration.
Taylor goes over to Creech, while Deniro moves that way as well on the outside, imploring him to get Rabbit back in the ring, but Creech isn’t moved, telling Taylor that if he’d stop breaking the count this would be over by now. In the meantime, Rabbit has snuck around behind Deniro and gives him a shot to the back of the head, dropping Deniro to the concrete. Taylor is incensed and jumps over the ropes to the floor while Rabbit scurries away, a big shit-eating grin on his face.
Taylor, seeing that Deniro will be okay, starts after Rabbit who slides in the ring. Taylor is right in after him which, in hindsight, was a bad idea. Rabbit’s ready and stomps on DDT’s head and shoulders keeping the big man down. Rabbit drops an elbow and then, jumping back to his feet, leaps over Taylor to the second rope and moonsaults back onto Taylor’s back.
Taylor gets up on his hands and knees and Rabbit punt kicks Taylor in the melon. Taylor goes down in a heap and Rabbit smiles. Rabbit gets an idea and leaps up to the corner turnbuckle. He lifts his arms, a-la Macho Man Randy Savage, and comes down on the Taylor’s neck with a beautiful elbow drop. RM rolls Taylor over and goes for the pin! One... Two... Th... no! Taylor kicks out at the last second. Rabbit sits back on his knees giving Mel Creech a disbelieving look. Creech tells Rabbit it was only two and gives him the reverse peace sign.
Taylor is getting to his feet at this point and Rabbit helps him up and whips him to the far ropes. On the rebound, Rabbit hits a picture perfect drop kick to the chin and Taylor drops like a lead weight. Rabbit quickly over for a pin. One... Two... Taylor kicks out. Rabbit wastes no time going right back to work on Taylor’s neck and sternum, dropping elbow after elbow. Cover. One... Two... Taylor rolls the shoulder this time; looks like he’s fading and didn’t have the energy to kick out.
Rabbit pulls Taylor up and it looks like he’s going to go for the finish. We’re going to have a new... wait! Taylor was playing a bit of possum and he DDTs Rabbit hard into the canvas. Both men down and Creech begins the ten count. Rabbit is up first at the count of six and Taylor is up at seven. Rabbit whips Taylor towards the corner. Taylor reverses it. Rabbit is able to control himself and leaps to the second turnbuckle, springs off and in midair turns for a splash into Taylor. Danny saw that coming and he catches Rabbit and flips him over with a nice T-bone suplex!
Taylor immediately on Rabbit and traps him in a Fujiwara armbar. Superior ring positioning too. Rabbit is stuck and a rope break seems miles away. Rabbit Mask is trying to drag himself and Taylor to the ropes and every inch is taking it out of the challenger. Finally Rabbit is close enough to get a foot on the bottom rope and Creech calls for the break. Taylor finally gives at the count of three and Creech admonishes him for not being the facey-face.
Taylor fails to look contrite and picks Rabbit Mask up. Rabbit knocks Taylor’s arms out of the way and gives him the ol’ thumbs to the eyes. Ah, the classics.
Creech giving Rabbit a lungful and Rabbit shows Creech that he’s the number one referee. Not sure that is the correct finger to use there. Rabbit now with a series of kicks to Taylor’s hamstrings and quads. Taylor finally drops to his knees and Rabbit with a shining wizard! Taylor down, Rabbit covers. One... Two...no! Without discussion, Rabbit picks Taylor up and shoots him to the corner. A running start and a precise dropkick to Danny’s noggin. Down goes Taylor! Down goes Taylor!
One... Two... and Danny just gets the shoulder up. Now Rabbit’s incensed. He gets right in Creech’s face and a heated discussion on Mitt Romney’s tax returns is in full swing. Looks like Rabbit is for full disclosure and Creech is not. Probably not surprising because Creech might owe about five years of back taxes.
Back in the match, Danny is woozily getting to his feet while the argument continues. Rabbit should be paying attention, but alas he’s not. Danny is fully up. He spins Rabbit around, kicks him in the gut. DYNAMITE DROP! One... Two... Thre... NO! Rabbit kicks out!
Danny wastes no time and flips Rabbit over onto his face, floats over and applies the TNT! This modified Rings of Saturn is putting a lot of pressure on Rabbit’s neck and Danny has it locked in deep. Rabbit struggles, but after a minute or so he has no choice but to tap out.
WINNER in 25:46 - Dynamite Danny Taylor
Mel Creech retrieves the Intercontinental Championship belt, hands it to Taylor and raises his arm. Rabbit slides out of the ring while Deniro climbs in. He and Danny celebrate in the ring and Victor turns Danny to the crowd and raises his arm again.
Rabbit, however, is extremely unhappy with the result and he’s climbed back into the ring with a steel chair. He nails Taylor in the back of the head with the unforgiving metal. Taylor drops like a rock through a wet paper bag. Rabbit stands over him and Deniro admonishes the bushwacking bunny.
With a sadistic gleam in his eye, Rabbit Mask turns towards the Dashing one, stalking him to the corner. The crowd is going crazy, but Rabbit thinks its for him. Nope. It’s because The Kai and A’isha are running to the ring. The Kai slides under the bottom rope, leaps to his feet and grabs the chair from Rabbit as he lifts it to deliver the killing blow to Victor. Rabbit spins around and just ducks a swing from The Kai while A’isha is checking on Danny. Rabbit thinks this is a good time to bail and he does just that. The Kai helps Victor back to his feet and they help the Intercontinental Champion to his feet as the crowd hoots and hollers.
Russ: What a strange alliance between Danny Taylor and The Kai!
Razz: Yeah, I have seen some strange things in my time in wrestling, but that one may take the cake. Still…..it’s good to have friends in this business
Nash: Yeah, friends can be good, but Danny better watch his back, he has something the Kai wants. It may be all well and good now, but ambition is a funny thing
Russ: I would think, if the Kai were to ask, Danny is the kind of honorable man who would gladly give him a title shot
Nash: That is not the point though. Getting the shot is one thing, but then, someone has to win, and someone has to lose. That is where the hard feelings come in. Still, let’s see where it all goes
Russ: Ladies and Gentlemen we have just received word from the Dayton Medical Center…..both Moosehead Jack and Firewoman remain unconscious in the ICU. They are both breathing with the aid of ventilators. Reports are that they have both drifted in and out of consciousness. They are far from out of the woods at this point, but their prognosis seems to be good. We don’t know if there was any permanent damage done or not, if we get more details we will update you as soon as we get them
Razz: That is good to hear Russ
Nash: I still can’t believe what I saw. This may sound harsh, but I can’t believe they are still alive
Russ: Well we can all be thankful that they are…….if only for the time being. There is no delicate way to transition from this, so I am just going to say it is Main Event time!
Razz: Chris Evans defends his world heavyweight title against LD Williams. After their little exchange last night, this one is going to be OFF THE CHARTS!
Nash: Everyone knows LD Williams. He is considered by almost everyone to be the most accomplished wrestler in OOWF history. Multiple Grand Slams, over 1100 days with a title, and as of last night, OOWF Wrestler of the Year. His accomplishments are many, but I think perhaps our champion is getting a bit overlooked here
Razz: I hate to agree with Nash, believe me, but I think he is right. Chris Evans is one hell of a wrestler, he is the OOWF World Heavyweight Champion, and yet for some reason it seems like he is constantly fighting for the respect he deserves
Russ: Respect? Chris Evans is one of the most heinous individuals in wrestling today! He and Eric ran roughshod over the OOWF with the Brass Knuckle Kings! Then he created the New Guard and ended the careers of Davin Moreland and Outback Jack! Respect? Why would anyone respect this man?
Nash: Because love him or hate him, he is the champion. And despite what people want to say, he earned that title. He has beaten LD Williams, clean, in the middle of the ring, and you have that punk Ski Mask Guy running around calling out the champ, putting him down at every turn, to be honest, it makes me sick
Razz: Again, I have to agree with Nash here. You may not respect the man, but you have to respect the title. Ski Mask Guy……you know what buddy? Put up or shut up. You have spent a lot of time running your mouth and jumping people from behind, but you have yet to get into the ring and do anything. Until then, show the champ some respect!
Russ: I seriously cannot believe what I am hearing here. Folks, it’s Main Event time, let’s head to the ring!CHRIS EVANS vs. LD WILLIAMS – OOWF World Heavyweight Title MatchLD Williams is out first as the Challenger yet again, and gets a monster ovation. A chant of "LD-DUB" fires up and he nods appreciatively, acknowledging the crowd before getting into the ring. Your World Heavyweight Champion Chris Evans raises his title above his head, and gets the shit booed out of him for his trouble. Evans simply smirks and taunts the crowd with his belt as he slowly meanders his way to the ring; with LD seething as he's being made to wait. Finally Evans climbs into the ring, but decides to make another round on the ropes, showing off his belt some more. This is growing tiresome, and the crowd lets him know about it; but it IS the Champ's prerogative to do so. OOWF Senior Referee Davis Hightower has finally had enough of this happy horseshit and demands the title belt from Evans. After some hemming and hawing, he finally hands it over. Hightower holds the belt high in the air. This match is for the OOWF World Heavyweight Championship. He hands the belt to the outside and calls for the bell...WE'RE UNDERWAY!
As has become the custom throughout this rivalry, there is no feeling-out period. They are firing punches at each other, haymaker after haymaker. It's not so much “bowling shoe ugly” as it is just a brutal fight. Hightower attempts to warn both competitors, but eventually gives up. This IS supposed to be “Hell on Earth” after all. LD finally gains the upper hand, and fires Evans into the corner, sternum first. Evans falls out, clutching his chest and staggers back out, into a German Suplex. The waist is locked! The hands are clasped! Another Suplex! And another! Finally, LD grows tired of suplexes, and hits Evans with a Release German Suplex, sending Evans clear across the ring. Wasting no time, LD covers...1...2...no. Evans powers out.
LD quickly gets Evans back to his feet, and whips him to the ropes, Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker!. LD goes for a pin, but Evans is out with a soft 2 count. Williams drags Evans up again, and fires him back to the ropes. Evans rebounds off, and gets hit with a LETHAL COMBINATION! Cover! 1...2...NO! Evans shoves LD off him and rolls out of the ring, making the universal symbol for 'time out'. Somewhere, Ric Flair is smiling. Hightower speed counts Evans, which forces the former 'Cubheart' back in. Evans gets to his feet as LD makes his approach, but Evans hits a Drop Toe Hold. Veteran move, and LD crashes throat-first into the ropes. Evans hops on his back and works him over, pressing his throat against the ropes to do it. LD's arms flail helplessly and Hightower starts a count. Evans puts the knee into LD's back, one hand on the back of LD's head. keeping up the pressure on LD's neck, and yells 'I HAVE TIL FIVE!' He lets go, and LD falls clutching his neck and throat. Evans marches around the ring and shows off some, getting the predictable booing from the crowd. LD pulls himself up the ropes again, and turns toward Evans who catches him with a kick to the stomach, grabs his head and BULLDOGS him right into the middle turnbuckle. Evans gets all lazy with the punchy-kicky, and LD is bundled (although he looks like he bundled himself to stop the monotony) out of the ring.
Hightower and Evans get into a back and forth as Hightower prevents Evans from following LD to the outside. Evans fakes like he's going to deck Hightower, but come on now. Meanwhile, Williams has gotten to his feet, shaking the cobwebs from his head. Finally Evans is done with his charade, and goes to attack Williams on the outside. LD plays a bit of possum, and rushes at him with a vicious clothesline. This draws monster cheers. LD pulls Evans up and kicks him in the stomach; getting him in position for the Canadian Destroyer on the floor! But as he's signaling, Evans starts to slide out of it. LD doesn't mind though, as Evans slides down, LD grabs his legs, and hits a sweet Wheelbarrow Suplex. He rolls Evans back into the ring, and goes for the quick cover, which gets a solid 2 count.
Williams shows his frustration, and makes the universal sign for '3 Count' (not Helms, Moore and Karagias, but the pin thing). Hightower disagrees, and they have a brief exchange as the Champ tries to pull himself up by the ropes. Williams runs at Evans, but it's a LOW BRIDGE! LD goes over but not before grabbing Evans around the neck, and taking him over with him. They hit the floor, and roll around for a bit, before getting to their feet and trading haymakers ones again. One gets whipped into the ring, the other gets whipped into the STEEL STEPS, but it's all essentially no-sold as the brawl intensifies. Hightower is trying to encourage them back into the ring, but Evans hits LD with an unseen Low Blow, which crumples LD. Hightower couldn't see it, and Evans takes advantage as he works LD over on the outside. It's a long, methodical beating, culminating with a disgustingly sick BRAINBUSTAH~! On the steel steps. LD might well be dead! Evans rolls into the ring and demands Hightower begin a count. He grudgingly obliges.
On the count of 8, LD just does begin to move. He hears the word 'nine' and makes a beeline for the ring, rolling in just as the count was about to be completed. Evans is right on top of it though, and stompy stompy stomp stomps all over the nearly helpless, and as we see now, bloodied former Champ. Evans is in complete control, locking in an old-school Liontamer. LD is too woozy to tap, and it takes all of his strength and energy to get to the ropes. Evans holds the submission until just before the 5 is called out, and lets him go. Evans poses and smirks – knowing the match is going his way now. He takes the heap of what's left of LD, and does some disrespectful paintbrushing, before locking him in. HE signals for a Canadian Destroyer, to the dismay of the crowd. He hits it in picture-perfect fashion. He eschews the cover, and makes one more signal to the crowd. The Way of the Future! The crowd is silent, as it appears Evans has finally cemented his legacy. Evans hits the 'C'mon Baby'-style cover, and LD Williams can't do anything about it.
WINNER in 21:47 by PINFALL...and STILL OOWF World Heavyweight Champion...Chris Evans!
Evans isn’t finished with LD, though. He grabs a chair from the outside and starts wailing on the back of LD Williams. The ref tries to grab the chair away from him, which is not the best idea, since Evans takes him out and goes back to work on LD. Evans stops hitting him with a chair long enough to grab a mic
Evans: “That’s it, that’s fucking it. You cannot beat me, you will never be able to beat me! And yet you keep hanging onto that last bit of nostalgia, that last glimmer of hope that lets you think that you can still hang in the main event. Face the facts, old man, your time is over.
And yet, I don’t get it, I just don’t get it. This guy, this fucking piece of shit. This is the guy that was voted as your Wrestler of the Year. Yeah, that’s right, cheer it up, you fucking sheep. All these years that he couldn’t win it, and now he finally gets it. I work my ass off, and this guy somehow gets it. Everyone around here knows that the only one that truly deserves the recognition of Wrestler of the Year is me. I orchestrated the retirements of Outback jack and Davin Moreland, I started the New Guard, I beat this asshole right here cleanly for this World title, and yet you people still want to keep me down. In my mind, I already know I’m the best, this title proves that I’m the best. But as long as this fucking guy is still around, I’ll never be viewed as the best. Well there’s only one real solution for this. If this is the only obstacle in my path to being the greatest in OOWF history, then the only solution is to take him out of the equation, permanently.<Evans picks up LD and levels him with not one, not two, but three Wave of the Futures onto the steel chair. Evans now takes the chair, wedges it onto LD’s throat, and motions to the top rope. Evans is about to climb the rope, but he sees a familiar face on the entrance ramp, Danny Taylor.>
“Ohhh, oh hey there, Silent Bob. You remember this, don’t ya? Yeah, this is how I took out your buddy, Outback Jack. Tell you what, why don’t you come over here and try to stop me?"<Danny continues to stand there motionlessly.>
"Aw, whats the matter there, big guy? Cat got your tongue? Got cold feet? Or do you realize that there’s not a damn thing that you can do in order to stop things like this from happening?"
Taylor: …
E: Yeah, that’s what I thought. Say goodbye to your Wrestler of the Year, everyone. It’s the last time you’ll ever see him.<Evans is about to jump, but he sees Ski Mask Guy out of the corner of his eye, who jumps onto the apron and tries to swing at Evans’ feet with his lead pipe. Evans leaps off the turnbuckle back into the ring to avoid it, and grabs his steel chair. Evans and SMG are stuck in a stalemate.>
E: What the fuck is your deal, asshole?
SMG: Silly Cubheart, don’t you realize that there’s, how do you put it, not a damn thing that you can do about me? No matter where you go, no matter what you do, I’m gonna be right there to fuck up your plans. As long as I’m around, you’ll never know rest.
E: Yeah, really shaking in my boots there. Tell you what, you want this guy, take him. After what I did to him, he’s not gonna be the same.<Evans turns to walk off to the back as medical staff rushes to the ring and tends to LD, but suddenly there's a buzz in the crowd, and gets louder and louder and Evans turns around and sees Ski Mask Guy with HIS world heavyweight title. Evans snarls with rage, pissed that he didn’t grab the title when he left. Evans slides back into the ring and is able to duck the home run swing of the pole. Evans quickly adjusts, and starts firing punches at Ski Mask Guy to his stomach and head. But they appear to have no affect! The crowd roars as Ski Mask Guy shakes his head and Dikimbe Mutumbos the Champ with his finger. Evans jaw drops and takes a step backward. Ski Mask Guy swings again, and Evans just does duck most of it, as he pole catches him lightly on the top of the head. Not enough to knock him out, but enough to knock him off his feet.
Evans is PISSED! He's being shown up in what he considers to be HIS ring, and does not appreciate it. At. All. He rushes Ski Mask Guy with a shoulder to the gut, which sends him all the way to the corner. Shoulder block, shoulder block, and more shoulder block knocks the wind out of Ski Mask Guy. Evans smirks and tries for a PELE KICK, but Ski Mask Guy recovers quickly, and grabs Evans' feet! Evans swings his arms wildly, but to no avail as Ski Mask Guy locks him in a Surfboard Hold. The crowd yawns momentarily until Ski Mask Guy...what? He sets Evans up...and delivers a MOTHERFUCKIN' CURBSTOMP! The crowd gets to their collective feet as Ski Mask Guy obviously watches OOWF.
Ski Mask Guy barely acknowledges the crowd as he appears to have work to do. He sneaks out to the apron and hits a Slingshot Legdrop to the back of Evans' head. Ski Mask Guy gets behind Evans, as he tries to get to his feet on spaghetti legs. He claps rhythmically and the crowd joins in, not knowing what's coming next. Evans turns and Ski Mask Guy strikes...
DIAMOND CUTTER!
The crowd goes apeshit, and Evans is done! Ski Mask Guy stands over the prone form of Evans, chest heaving, looking down at his handiwork. Without looking back up, he simply points to the Jumbotron, where some familiar music fires up:
NotoriousThe apeshit crowd immediately reverts to absolute stunned silence as they seem to have the same collective thought:
'No. Fucking. Way.'
Ski Mask Guy whips the ski mask off his head and throws it onto Evans as he spits on him. He looks up...and it is! It's the Former Four-Time World Champ!
It's Davin Moreland!
The Dayton crowd loses their collective shit as the roof blows off the place, and security struggles to keep the crowd at the retaining wall so they don't rush the ring. Finally, Davin looks up with his trademark shit-eating grin and holds up both his arms in a Muhammed Ali pose, soaking up the adulation. He jumps around a little bit as he starts to get amped up, and in the process demonstrates that his knee isn't nearly as hurt as he let on. He asks for the title from the timekeeper who hands it to him. He grabs it, and one-hops the nearest turnbuckle. He takes a moment, holding it, with what looks to possibly be tears in his eyes, before holding it over his head with one hand, letting out a primal scream; which is reciprocated by the crowd.
He hops off the turnbuckle and stands over Evans. He looks at the title once again and smiles, before draping it over Evans' lifeless form, and raising his arms once again in jubilation, and the crowd absolutely eats it up. He goes over to the recovering LD Williams, and helps him to his feet. Williams is stunned to see Davin in the ring, but a smile creeps to his face as Davin raises his arm in victory, and they do a short march around the ring in that pose. Williams politely applauds (as is the Canadian Custom) as Davin mounts a turnbuckle once again, a single fist raised in the air as he screams out to the crowd. That's the last sight we see as we...
