OOWF MidWeek Mayhem
Live! From Philadelphia, PA
AINA & ALEXANDER DARLING vs. HONCHO WILLIAMS & ZANE MYERS - Tag Team Mayhem MatchHoncho and Zane grab the early advantage because Aina and Alex can’t seem to get on the same page. Aina fights back, using some questionable tactics, and he and Alex argue in the corner. Honcho rolls Aina up from behind, but only gets a two count. With the referee distracted, Aina nails a low blow on Honcho and Aina and Alex take over and play some “top this” but can’t keep Honcho down. Honcho finally makes the hot tag to Zane and Zane cleans house. Zane and Honcho work Alex over and get several near falls, but Alex fights back. Alex gets Honcho in the middle of the ring and tries for a German suplex, but Honcho reverses it, then Alex reverses it, and back and forth they go. When the referee isn’t looking, Aina BLASTS Honcho with a pair of brass knuckles and Alex finishes the German, and gets the three count! Alex looks a little surprised that Honcho didn’t kick out. Aina just smirks and heads up the ramp.
WINNERS in 11:41 – Alexander Darling & Aina
FIREWOMAN & CHAD MADISON vs. ATTITUDE ADJUSTER & THE KAI – Tag Team Mayhem MatchFire and Chad take the early advantage and keep AA in their corner with quick tags and some nice precision team work. AA plays the face in peril for a bit, then makes the hot tag to The Kai, who comes in and gives both Fire and Chad rock bottoms. The Kai doesn’t go for the tag though, instead he decides to call his partner out for taking a beating. So AA comes into the ring and hits a slingshot suplex on Chad. The Kai grabs Fire and plants her with a DDT. AA and The Kai go nose to nose and argue about who is the better heel. Fire and Chad hit a double dropkick to the Kai’s back and he and AA slam into one another face to face, Chad rolls The Kai up from behind and gets the three count!
WINNERS in 12:14 – Chad Madison & Firewoman
MAY MUYO vs. PSYKLE – Best of Three for the War Games Man AdvantageMai and Psykle make their respective entrances to the ring. When they meet in the center, the height disparity is almost amusing. Mai looks up, up, and up while Psykle looks down, down, and down, and they both smile at each other. The bell rings, and we start off with an attempt at least at an opening exchange of locks and armdrags, but they're both pretty awkward due to simple size difference. Psykle gets the first real offense as he tosses Mai around like a rag doll, but Mai is able to walk up the ropes and leap into a hurricanrana. Psykle lands and Mai tries to pin him, but he kicks out with enough force to send her across the ring. He's up in a flash and begins the big man offense with assorted throws and slams. This brings Evans out to complain to the referee, who turns his back. Mai gets something that looks like paper out of her boot, but before she can make it flash, the referee turns and grabs it out of her hand. Mai protests but the referee continues to justify his decision. Evans circles around to where Psykle is standing, close to the apron. Evans reaches out and grabs Psykle's foot. Psykle turns and reaches down to get him, but Evans reaches up with a fist...and some brass knuckles! The referee is done discussing the rules with Mai, but doesn't see the hit. Psykle falls back as Mai reaches under for a Schoolgirl, but since he's out...one, two, THREE!
WINNER in 16:56 – Mai Muyo – The New Guard lead 1-0
STANK vs. RICKY SOARING EAGLE – DDT Iron Man Heavy Metal Title #1 Contender Strap MatchSoaring Eagle comes out at the bell swinging, and attacks Stank with a fury we haven’t seen from him before. Stank weathers the attack, being the grizzled veteran that he is. Stank fights back and soon both men are bleeding badly. Soaring Eagle tries to make good on his promise to hang Stank, but the big man stays on his feet and catches RSE with a strap across the face that leaves a NASTY welt. The match continues with both men whipping the snot out of one another. Stank gets several near falls (we are not doing the lame corner bullshit) but RSE fights back. Stank lifts RSE for the STANK-U when Moose wanders to ringside, looking lost. Stank takes his focus off the match for just a second, and RSE slips off his shoulders and pulls Stank into a clothesline using the strap, then hits the RETURN TO EARTH! Soaring Eagle covers, and gets the three count!
WINNER in 20:02 – Ricky Soaring Eagle
Moose wanders back to the back, seemingly never noticing that there was actually a match. Soaring Eagle wraps a strap around Stank’s throat and tries to hang him over the ropes, but Stank catches himself on the ropes, climbs back into the ring and gets a measure of revenge on Soaring Eagle before RSE beats it out of the ring and heads to the back, the new #1 contender to the DDT Title
ALEXANDER DARLING & AINA vs. CHAD MADISON & FIREWOMAN – Tag Team Mayhem Finals – Winning Team Gets to Pick Stips for Their Team in a Future Title MatchFor nearly twenty minutes we get a clean back and forth match between the two teams. Neither can keep the advantage for long, and both teams use quick tags to keep the other team at a disadvantage. Aina and Alex seem to be on the same page finally. Alex and Fire break out some impressive chain wrestling. Not to be outdone, Aina demands to be tagged into the match, and he and Fire engage in some chain wrestling, Fire gets the advantage and tags in Chad. Aina tries to take Chad down, but Chad POPS him with a superkick. The match continues on and Alex and Aina keep trying to one up one another which allows Fire and Chad to keep grabbing the advantage. The end comes when the referee catches a bit of an elbow and Aina pulls out some brass knuckles and has Fire lined up. Alex comes into the ring and grabs Aina’s arm and stops him and the two partners argue. The argument turns to blows and Alex BLASTS Aina in the mouth with a punch, Aina staggers, and walks right into a VOODOO DROP from Fire! Fire covers and Chad darts across the ring and nearly cuts Alex in half with a spear to keep him from breaking up the pin, and Fire gets the one, two, three!
WINNERS in 26:18 – Firewoman & Chad Madison
Fire and Chad share a mid-ring hug, then realize what they are doing. They compose themselves and shake hands, and leave the ring together, Alex joins Fire on the ramp, while the rest of the New Guard come out to make sure this isn’t a three on one attack on Aina. Officials get them all separated before incident, and Fire, Alex and Chad head to the back, with Alex giving Fire an odd look
DANNY TAYLOR & CROWING vs. STAN FULTON & MATT FOLZ - Best of Three for the War Games Man AdvantageThis match is a straight up fight. Fulton and Folz have little interest in keeping things in the ring and do all they can to take out Danny. Ignoring Crowing is not a good idea though, the former 3Piece Set member is no stranger to street fights. Crowing launches himself over the top rope and takes out Folz, then pulls him up and slams him into the steel ring steps. Taylor fights back against Fulton and their fight makes it back into the ring. On the outside Folz tries a low blow, but Crowing blocks it and counters with a knee to the face. He rolls Folz into the ring just as Danny clotheslines Fulton over the top rope to the floor. Folz is dazed and tries to pull out some brass knuckles, but Crowing hops onto the apron and hits him with a kick upside the head that sends the knucks flying. Crowing then leaps onto Fulton, sending them both crashing into the guard rail. Folz staggers around the ring and Danny grabs him and PLANTS him with the DYNAMITE DROP! Danny rolls Folz over and gets the three count.
WINNERS in 11:51 – Danny Taylor & Crowing
The bell barely rings when the rest of the New Guard attack Danny in the middle of the ring. They get a few shots in, and Evans grabs a chair and is about to Pillmanize Danny’s ankle when Crowing slides back into the ring. As the New Guard focuses on him, it gives the rest of the Old Guard time to rush the ring and even the odds. The New Guard bails out and order is restored. The best of three series is tied 1-1
MOOSEHEAD JACK vs. COMRADE SHARKOFF – OOWF DDT Iron Man Heavy Metal Title Chain MatchSharkoff is already in the ring, Moose staggers to the ring, rolls under the bottom rope and slumps in the corner, tossing the DDT Title to the mat. The referee puts the chain around Sharkoff’s neck, then does the same to Moose, then calls for the bell. The second the bell rings Moose explodes out of the corner and BLASTS Sharkoff upside the head with the chain wrapped around his fist. That sets the tone for the match. Sharkoff is horribly bloody within minutes, and Moose has a crazed look in his eyes the entire match. Sharkoff gets in his share of offense, and Moose is busted open. Sharkoff gets several seven counts on Moose, but he can’t keep him down. The end comes when Moose pulls Sharkoff onto the apron, lifts him, and hits a PILEDRIVER FROM THE APRON TO THE FLOOR! Sharkoff may be out cold. Moose rolls him back into the ring and locks him in the ji-endo, and twists his head at a disturbing angle for a man who just took a piledriver to the floor. Blood pours from Sharkoff’s face as he goes limp and the referee quickly calls for the bell. Moose gets to his feet, pulls Sharkoff up and loops the chain around his throat and throws him over the top rope and hangs him. Sharkoff can’t even get his hands up to protect his neck. Officials storm the ring and Moose finally lets go, and Sharkoff falls to the floor.
WINNER in 16:58 – Moosehead Jack
Moose grabs his title and a mic and slumps to his knees in the middle of the ring. He lays the title in front of him and looks down at it, blood dripping from his forehead onto the title……
this is my title. There are many others like it, but this one is mine. My title is my best friend. It is my life. I must defend it as I must defend my life. Without me, my title is useless. Without my title, I am useless. I must defend my title against all. I must hit harder than my enemy, who is trying to kill me. I must defeat him before he defeats me. I will. Before Him I swear this creed: my title and myself are defenders of Him, we are the masters of my enemies, we are the saviors of my life. So be it, until there is no enemy, just Him. Amen. LD WILLIAMS & EL LOBO SANGRIENTO vs. CHRIS EVANS & JP SPARXX - Best of Three for the War Games Man AdvantageLD and Lobo are accompanied by the rest of the Old Guard while Evans and Sparxx come out with the New Guard. The referee immediately puts an end to that and sends everyone not in the match to the back and warns that if either side interferes during the match, it is an automatic disqualification, no leeway. The match starts and Evans and LD go toe to toe. LD backs Evans into the corner and unleashes some CANADIAN VIOLENCE! Evans tags Sparxx in and LD tags in Lobo. The match is fast paced and hard hitting, both sides work very stiff in this one, with Sparxx catching LD with a kick to the face the bloodies the champs nose. The match breaks down a bit and Sparxx and Lobo fight on the outside while LD and Evans fight inside the ring. Evans tries a PELE KICK but LD moves out of the way and then nearly decapitates him with a clothesline. LD sets him up for a CANADIAN DESTROYER, but from the outside Sparxx grabs LD’s leg, just before Sparxx gets KILLED by a Lobo SPEAR! The distraction allows Evans to slip behind LD and roll him up, grab a handful of tights AND get his foot on the bottom rope! DARLING FINISH! Evans gets a three count, and the New Guard have the man advantage!
WINNERS in 22:49 – Chris Evans & JP Sparxx
RABBIT MASK vs. GHOSTHEAD – OOWF Onslaught Championship MatchMy Ruin plays, as Ghosthead makes his entrance. The crowd boos, but he does not seem to notice. Ninja Step plays and Rabbit Mask makes his entrance primarily to cheers. Both men stand at opposite sides of the ring, eyes locked in an intense stare down. The ref takes the Championship from Rabbit Mask, and holds it up for everyone to see. Neither Ghosthead nor Rabbit Mask break their stares. The ref calls for the bell, and both men move forward and simultaneously spray mist into the air. The dueling mists seem to cancel each other out, and all that really happens is the poor ref gets drenched. He is not happy and calls over the announcer.
Both men have used their first warnings The ref says that if he sees anymore mist, this one is over. The two men circle, lock up and begin a series of indytastic chain wrestling maneuvers. The action is quick, as both men seem to have a counter for whatever the other throws at them. This sequence ends when Rabbit attempts a hurricanran, but Ghosthead is able to reverse it into a single leg crab. Rabbit struggles, and is able to make it to the ropes.
Rabbit Mask has used his first rope break Unfortunately for him, Ghosthead refuses to break the hold and continues to deliver pain to Rabbits knee. The ref calls for the break, and when Ghosthead refuses we get another announcement.
Ghosthead has used his second warning Ghosthead finally breaks the hold, but the damage appears to be done, and Rabbit is slow getting to his feet. Ghosthead takes the advantage and presses the attack, landing a kick to Rabbits leg that puts him down. Ghosthead spends the next several minutes working over the leg with various strikes and locks. This Culminates in him locking in a Texas Cloverleaf. Rabbit grits against the pain, and pulls himself over to the ropes.
Rabbit Mask has used his second rope break Ghosthead again refuses to break the hold, intent on taking out Rabbits legs.
Ghosthead has used his final warning Ghosthead releases the hold and stares down the ref, causing him to back up in fear. Rabbit uses this moment to roll out of the ring and try to rub the feeling back into his knees. Ghosthead attempts to follow him out, but Rabbit grabs his leg and pulls, causing Ghosthead’s head to bounce awkwardly off the ring apron. Both men are down outside the ring, and the ref begins his count.
He makes it to five before Ghosthead recovers and slides back into the ring. Rabbit chooses not to follow, and instead grabs the chair from underneath the timekeeper and tosses it into the ring. The ref intercepts it and goes to remove it from the ring. While the refs back is turned, Rabbit slides the Onslaught title into the ring. Ghosthead has recovered his wits, and picks the belt up as Rabbit is climbing into the ring. Rabbit sees this and drops onto the apron pretending to be unconscious. The ref turns around, sees Rabbit down and Ghosthead holding the belt and calls for the bell.
WINNER via DQ in 14:13 Rabbit Mask
Ghosthead tries to protest, but Rabbit takes advantage, popping up and launching with an awkward looking springboard forearm. It connects, and Rabbit grabs Ghosthead and attempts to brainbuster him onto the title. Fortunately for Ghosthead, Rabbits knee does not hold up, and he is able to get free. Rabbit grabs the title and slides out of the ring, smirking as he backs up the ramp. Ghosthead remains stoic inside the ring staring daggers at his retreating form.
