OOWF MidWeek Mayhem
Live! From Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Russ:[/i] ! Coming off one of the most impressive Pay-Per-View events in recent memory, we welcome you, Ladies and Gentlemen, to Toronto Canada for MidWeek Mayhem![/i]
Razz: And what a night we had in Boston. It was Off da Chain! [/i]
Nash: It was almost as good as the night I ended Lou Thesz’s 64 year title reign in under a minute.[/i]
Razz: And who booked that match Nash?Nash:Well I did, but it was only because he wasn’t getting over. It’s not like I like ending streaks, that’s for sure.Russ:Folks, let’s head to the ring!COMRADE SHARKOFF vs. EL LOBO SANGRIENTOSharkoff tries to get the jump on Lobo at the bell, but the wolf was ready for him and sends him flying over the top rope. Lobo hits a running plancha over the ropes and sends Sharkoff crashing into the barricade. After tossing him back in the ring, Lobo keeps him off balance with his lucha training. Lobo lands a springboard body press for q 2 count. Sharkoff twists on Lobo’s mask to stop the assault, and then starts to pound on the former Onslaught Champion. Clubbing forearms to the back set up a bearhug. Lobo tries to fight out of it, and just when it seems like he’s about to break free, Comrade charges the corner and avalanches Lobo. Lobo slumps and Sharkoff backs up, readying for the Sickle! He goes for it.. but Lobo sidesteps him and lets Sharkoff eat turnbuckle. Kick to the gut and lobo hits a nice double-underhook suplex. Instead of covering for the pin, Lobo locks in the Wolf Moon! Lobo howls loudly (nice and long, like a Ric Flair Whoo) and the crowd eats it up as Sharkoff taps out.
WINNER in 6:46, El lobo Sangriento
THE FLYIN HAWAIIANS vs. AWESOME BILL FROM DAWSONVILLE & JUSTIN SANE“Insane in the Brain” plays and Awesome Bill From Dawsonville and Justin Sane make their way to the ring. Bill has his ever present quart jar of pine cone party liker with him. They climb to the corners while OOWF world tag team champion Flyin Hawaiians are announced. Kai and Aina storm the ring and pull Bill and Justin off the turnbuckles and hammer them to the mat with punches and kicks. Aina throws Bill over the top rope to the floor and they focus their attention on Justin. Justin fights back and gets some offense in, but the Hawaiians do a good job of cutting the ring in half and keep Justin from making the tag. Finally, after taking a beating, Justin makes the hot tag to Bill, who comes in and cleans house. Bill clotheslines Aina over the top rope and lifts Kai up for a fall away slam, but Aina comes back into the ring and POPS him with a superkick to the jaw! The Hawaiians brutally beat down Bill, busting him open and taunting the crowd. Justin tries to make the save, but the Hawaiians throw him out of the ring, and the Kai slams him face first into the ring post. Bill Awesomes Up, but the Hawaiians cut him in half with the BUTTERFLY EFFECT and get the three count and win.
WINNERS in 12:01 – The Flyin Hawaiians
ALEXANDER DARLING vs. MATT FOLZThese two technical masters circle each other slowly to start off. Folz grabs a headlock. Push off into the ropes. Shoulderblock, Folz goes down, Alex runs he ropes, leapfrogs Folz, who hits the opposite rope. They criss cross the ropes 7 or 8 times, with the crowd growing louder by the second. Folz stops, tries a hiptoss. Blocked. Alex tries the hiptoss. Blocked, and twisted into an Abdominal stretch. Folz grabs the rope for leverage, the ref kicks his hand off, and Alex hip tosses him to the mat. Folz pops up and they both retreat to opposite corners to a rousing ovation. All of that transpired in less than 2 minutes! A second lock up leads us back into action. Alex gets the best of Folz for a bit, with a lighting quick springboard moonsault and a sick sounding enziguri. Folz blocks a suplex attempt, and slides behind Alex to snap of one..two..three..four..and five German Suplexes! Matt hits a T-Bone suplex and tries a GTS, but Alex turns it into a crucifix and gets a 2 count. Darling p first, and clotheslines Folz so hard he flips in mid-air. Darling hits a CURBSTOMP! And motions for the Darling Driver. Folz grabs Darling’s foot and in less than a second has him on the mat with a grapevined anklelock! Darling struggles to the ropes. Folz breaks clean. Darling elbows him in the gut, then pops up and hits Sliced Bread #2! Darling pulls Folz up for a brainbuster, but drops him to the mat as The Kai appears at ringside out of nowhere. That momentary pause lets Folz grab Darling from behind and pop off a Dragon Suplex for the 3 count!
WINNER in 12:32, Matt Folz!
Post match, Darling makes a beeline for Kai & Folz, who are enjoying a good laugh. Chad Madison and Danny Taylor come running down and keep a 2 on 1 attack from happening and bodily pull Alex to the back.
STAN FULTON & MAI MUYO vs. TEXPRESSZane and Stan start us off and Fulton uses his size advantage to quickly pin Zane in the New Guard corner. Fulton and Mai’s work with Wyatt seems to have helped, as they employ the old school “Tag in, hit 2 moves, tag out” cycle on Zane and have him reeling. Mai’s focus is on head strikes, with a sweet enziguri that echoes through the arena and planting Zane with a DDT. Fulton focuses on using his mass, splashing Myers in the corner and hitting a big running powerslam. Chad seems to be having a spasm on the apron, desperate to tag in. Fulton and Mai hit a nice bit of double-teaming on Zane, going high low with a dropkick/Judo leg sweep combo. Mai goes for the cover, and Chad comes in for the save. The referee chases Chad out of the ring, letting Stan and Mai really go to work on Zane. They set up a double suplex, but Zane kicks Mai in the gut and lifts Fulton up for a gordbuster! Both men are down, and Zane rolls over into a Mai Moonsault…. But gets his knees up at the last second to send her rolling across the mat! Zane crawls over and tags in Chad, who cleans house a couple of times before order gets restored. Chad hits Stan with a superkick that sends him to the floor. Mai sneaks up from behind him and rolls him up for 2, but Madison kicks out easily. Chad and Mai square off and we get some chain wrestling, headlocks, hammerlocks and standing switches. Mai gets the upperhand for a moment and tries to go up top, but Chad follows her up and pulls off a picturesque Superplex! He floats over and gets the 1..2…3!
WINNERS in 9:13, Texpress!
RABBIT MASK vs. STANKRabbit Mask starts off with an offensive flurry , landing a couple of sick kicks that echo throughout the arena. Stank drops to his knees, and RM applies the Hare Hold. Stank powers his way up and starts to toss RM around like a rag doll. RM fights back and side steps an avalanche and bulldogs Stank to the mat. HE tries a springboard moonsault, but, Stank rolls out of the away and begins to go to work on RM, wearing him down with crisp body slams and suplexes. Stank hoists RM up on the top rope and sets up the CTG, but RM manages to kick Stank away from him. Stank charges back in, and RM turns it into a smooth sunset flip for a 2 count. Stank is up quick, but not quick enough. RM hits a body press, but Stank Catches him and drives him to the mat, then twists him in position for the Catch-22! RM struggles to get to the ropes, but Stank drags him back to the center of the ring. As he does, he re-grips, and RM reaches up and thumbs Stank in the eye. HE lets go, RM begins a series of stiff kicks to the head that lay Stank out. RM hops to the top rope and hits the Original 810 on Stank for the 1…2…3!
WINNER in 7:29, Rabbit Mask!
DANNY TAYLOR vs. RICKY SOARING EAGLE – OOWF Intercontinental Title MatchDDT enters the ring to a huge ovation and holds his belt up high. RSE is in the ring already and stares at the belt the entirety of DDTs entrance. At the bell, RSE goes right at Danny, no circling the ring or collar and elbow tie up, straight into a corner and exchanging blows. Danny battles back and grounds Eagle with a MMA takedown and locks in a cross arm breaker. RSE is near the ropes and gets a clean break. Danny pops to his feet and is ready for Ricky. Eagle comes in tentatively, and Danny engages him in a test of strength. That lasts for about 2 seconds as RSE kicks DDT in the gut and hits a side suplex. RSE drops a couple elbows and picks Danny up and plants him with a powerslam. Danny kicks out of the pin attempt and crawls back to his feet, only to be met by RSE’s boot. DDT tumbles to the floor and they resume the brawl on the outside. Danny avoids a charging RSE which sends Eagle into the ringpost. Danny hurls him into the barricade and crawls back into the ring. He lays there, chest heaving, and Eagle gets to his feet and rolls back into the ring at 8. Danny takes the upper hand and begins to try and wear down his opponent. The forearms and uppercuts take their toll and Danny sets up for a Dynamite Drop. Ricky blocks it and twists DDT into a neckbreaker. Eagle tries to put DDT in the Cactus Thorn. Danny kicks him away and hits not one but 2 huge Stinger splashes. RSE stumbles forward and Danny Spinebusters him to the mat. The cover gets only 2, and RSE is back to his feet trading punches once again with Taylor. Eagle sends DDT into the ropes and scoops him up and hits the Return to the Earth! Ricky covers and the bell rings immediately! Ricky thinks he’s won and is reaching over the ropes for the belt, when the PA announcer comes across and gives the official decision in 20:00, Time Limit Draw.
WINNER – 20:00 Time Limit Draw
Ricky is furious and turns to Danny, who is just getting to his feet, and begins to kick and stomp the champion. The referee has the belt and is trying to hand it to Danny, so Eagle snatches it up and blasts DDT on the head with it 3..4..5 times! Officials are unable to break up the barrage, and it takes Lobo, LD and Texpress running to ringside to make RSE stop. He bails out of the ring, but stands there holding the title in his hands, staring at the faces in the ring. RSE holds the belt up high, then lets it fall to the concrete as he makes his way to the back.
LD WILLIAMS & ATTITUDE ADJUSTER vs. CHRIS EVANS & JP SPARXXThese 4 were involved in a 6-man match one week ago, and faced off in one on one matches on Sunday, so the familiarity factor is pretty high. AA starts out with Evans and quickly becomes Ricky Morton. Evans & Sparxx past tag team success helps them keep AA far from LD and leads to several near falls. AA uses the Greco-Roman Thumb to the eye to get out of the trap and make the hot tag to LD. The Champ comes barreling in, but Evans and J-P withstand the assault pretty well. It’s not long after that LD is caught in no-man’s land being worked over by the New Guard team. Crisp, fluid double teams leave AA now chomping at the bit to get back in. He gets the tag and cleans house, thanks to the BLACK GLOVE now on his right hand. Evans and J-P bail to recover. LD is having none of it, and joins AA for running Stero Planchas!..... or maybe not. LD hits his, but AA looks down at him from the ring , saying “I can’t jump that high!” LD tosses J-P back in the ring, and AA starts to wear down the younger, flippier wrestler. J-P is strapped in a vicious chinlock, when AA yells out “C’mon Baby” Random. Evans comes in and just kicks AA in the face, LD with the tag and he and Evans gives us about 30 seconds of pure fisticuffs. J-P blind tags in and catches LD from behind, setting up the Vertebreaker! J-P staggers a little getting LD up, which puts him close enough for AA to make a blind tag. LD gets dropped in the vertebreaker, but AA is right there to put J-P in a Figure 4! J-P reaches up and tags in Evans, who drops a Mach Man Elbow on AA, who still has J-P in the F4. Evans makes the cover and gets the 3 count.
WINNERS in 9:56, Chris Evans & J-P Sparxx!
POWER & GLORY vs. FIREWOMAN - 10 Minute ChallengePower and Glory come out to no music. This is, after all, their first time officially in a ring. They are accompanied to the ring by Wyatt Cox, who has been in the ring many times before, but none of them can hide their nervousness at the all-or-nothing nature of this contest.
Firewoman by the Cult explodes from the speakers and pyro erupts as the former champion comes to the ring exuding confidence accompanied by a very nervous Lucky. She steps into the ring, hands Lucky her necklace ant torc, looks at her opponents, then walks past them to go toe to toe with Wyatt Cox. It's obvious that Firewoman hasn't forgotten the barbs thrown at her by the radio host on his live broadcast last week. Cox doesn't back down, but the bell rings to break up the confrontation.
Glory steps out of the ring and Power extends a hand to Fire. Fire reluctantly shakes the hand of Power, but pulls her in for a knee to the midsection. Fire backs Power to the ropes, lays in a couple of chops, throws her into the ropes but Power reverses and catches Fire in a Powerslam. Fire slowly gets up and gives the golf clap to the young rookie. Power tags out to Glory, who meets Fire in center ring with a hand extended. Fire rolls her eyes and extends her hand...which is promptly used to pull Fire into a front facelock. Rather than expend any energy breaking the hold Fire steps to the ropes, and Glory throws a couple of chops into Fire on the ropes, before whipping Fire into the ropes but Fire Reverses and Glory comes off the ropes, ducks a clothesline and goes for a Thesz press and gets a one count before Fire hooks Glory's shoulders in an attempted pin but Glory rolls through and into the ropes. Fire is clearly surprised that the rookies are performing at this level as Glory tags Power back in.
Fire decides to wrap this up as quickly as possible and when Power goes for a routine side headlock Fire lifts her for a belly to back suplex. Power is shaken briefly as Fire turns to Wyatt and sneers. The sneer turns to shock when she turns back face to face with Power who grabs Fire and hits a Belly to Belly suplex. Fire starts to realize that there's more here than meets the eye. Power slips behind the standing Firewoman and grabs a waistlock. Fire tries to drop down but Power stays on top of her like glue and finally rolls for the first of not three, but FIVE German Suplexes that leave the former champion shaken.
Power tags in Glory and throws Firewoman to the opposite corner, then hurls Glory in that direction who throws a SPEAR to the ribs. Fire is hurting badly. Glory commits the rookie mistake when she tries to repeat the spear to an empty corner and hits the ringpost. Fire seizes the opportunity with a series of strikes, elbows, and knees in the corner, followed by a bulldog. Firewoman finally gets a chance to go for a pin, but Glory kicks out at two. Fire cuts the ring in half, keeping Glory as far away from her partner as possible. Fire rolls the prone Glory onto her stomach and grabs her arms – FIRESTOMP! Wyatt begins yelling “100! 100!” Glory looks for the ropes and begins rolling that way, but Fire blocks her progress as she hauls up the prone girl for a Voodoo Drop, but Glory counters with a small package attempt for a one count. Fire goes nuts with more strikes and kicks to the prone Glory. She picks up Glory again as Wyatt now shouts “99, 99”. Fire tried for the Voodoo drop again but Glory reaches down for another Belly to Belly suplex that takes almost all she has left. Both women are down and Wyatt starts shouting “100, 100” again and Glory sees a clear path to her corner. She leaps for the corner and makes the tag to Power who goes straight for Fire who has pulled herself up in the corner. Power drives in three solid shoulders to Fire's ribs. She picks up Fire in a delayed giant suplex, then goes for a modified Abdominal Claw. Fire is screaming and in serious pain as the claw is putting significant pressure on the ribs, but more importantly, taking time off the clock. With two minutes remaining Power picks up Fire, tags in her partner and throws Fire into the ropes for a scoop Powerslam. Glory leaps to the top ropes and hits a 450 Splash-- TWIN SPIN! Glory goes for the pin but fails to hook the leg and Fire kicks out at two.
Fire knows that time is short so she sweeps Glory's legs and begins working on the rookie with strikes and elbows. Fire rolls Glory over for another Firestomp, then lands a second Firestomp just to be safe. She picks up Glory, looks over at Wyatt and starts waving Bye-Bye. Fire says to Glory,”Say Bye Bye to Uncle Wyatt, little girls.” Suddenly Glory lights up, begins hitting strikes and chops to a surprised Fire, throws her to the ropes and Glory pulls out another Powerslam. Wyatt screams “Elimination, NOW!” Glory tags in Power and throws Fire into the corner. As she comes out, Power and Glory hit DOUBLE ELIMINATION! Shades of the Eliminators! Power covers and hooks both legs, for one, two, THREE!
WINNERS – 9:54 – Power and Glory
Wyatt enters the ring and hugs Power and helps up Glory and then turns to Firewoman who is FURIOUS...and extends a hand? Fire looks at him angrily and Wyatt walks over to the announcer's side of the ring and asks for the microphone.
WC: I really shouldn't say this, but I need to. Firewoman. Congratulations...you ARE the best in the world. My ladies here are honored to have had this contest tonight. I hope we get the chance to blow the roof off the arena again. YOU ARE THE BEST. Period!
Power and Glory begin clapping, the crowd begins cheering louder if that's possible, and Wyatt again offers Fire his hand. Which she cautiously accepts. Power and Glory do the same....
...and are disrupted by the appearance of Chris Evans, Matt Folz, and the Flyin Hawaiians, who hit the ring, and although it's four-on-four, it's hardly a fair fight with the Hawaiians going after Power and Glory, Matt Folz aiming at a totally unprepared Wyatt, and Chris Evans heading for his old nemesis Firewoman...Wyatt Cox is cut open by the pounding of Folz, both Power and Glory experience the Moloka’i Cocktail, and Chris Evans has Fire up for the Way of the Future when Alexander Darling, Danny Taylor, El Lobo Sangriento and LD Williams hit the ring to restore order...
.
The four New Guard members back away from the ring slowly. The question remains, where were their colleagues Stan Fulton and Mai Muyo?
GHOSTHEAD vs. CROWING – OOWF Onslaught Championship MatchUp next is the Onslaught Championship match. Crowing is out first to Russian Circle’s “Micah.” He removes his black hoodie and tosses it to the ringside help. Sevendust’s “My Ruin” blares over the PA and the Onslaught Champion Ghosthead makes his way to the ring. He hands the title belt over to the referee and this one’s under way.
Collar-elbow lock up to start and Crowing forces Ghosthead to the corner. Ghosthead is given a shove to the chest as Crowing backs away. Ghosthead only smirks as they lock up again. The two go back and forth with the basic technical stuff before it all breaks down and both men are given their first
and second warnings. Crowing gets GH into the D-Tuner and GH has to use his first rope break before his back cracks. Crowing leaps to the second rope and hits a beautiful lionsault. He gets a 2 count, because that move never scores a pinfall.
Crowing’s getting frustrated and kneels over GH and starts pounding on his head. The referee gets to three and a half and Crowing backs off, avoiding his third warning. He gives the ref the what’s for and walks right into GH’s back and GH hits the Asai DDT for a two count. Quick German suplex for two by Ghosthead. Crowing whipped to the ropes and comes out with a flying forearm for a two count. Ghosthead with a gutwrench suplex for a two count.
Crowing with a running enziguri for a quick two count. He’s not very pleased with the count speed and he gives the referee a stern talking to. Meanwhile, Ghosthead is getting to his feet. Crowing turns and walks right into another Asia DDT, but this time Ghosthead heads to the top turnbuckle.
Spectre’s Fall! 1...2...3!
WINNER in 14:32, and still OOWF Onslaught Champion, Ghosthead
