Name: Tarian
Nicknames: "The Shield and Lance", "The Hardcore Knight", "Mr. PPV"
Height: 6'6 Tall
Weight: 244 lbs Light
Face/Heel/Neutral: Neutral with a brutal mindset.
Build: Tall and long limbed, with broad and stocky shoulders and nicely outlined muscles. Think Crimson, with some Roman Reigns and Goldberg thrown in.
Physical Description: Shoulder length black hair, groomed facial hair mustache/light goatee combo. Tattoos located on chest, back, outer thighs and full sleeves. Usually wearing thigh-length trunks to the ring, along with sleevless shirts and bright green padded fingerless gloves. Backstage he can be seen in any amaglam mix-up of brand and brand-less shirts, jeans, windbreakers and wife beaters plus his leather trench coat. This same trench coat is usually worn to the ring, but taken off before he actually steps inside. Best references are Roman Reigns or Jason Mamoa.
Entrance Music: Nothing More - This Is The Time (Skipping intro, 0:51 seconds in)
Personality: Tarian's a decent guy, say the people who know him personally. But then again, friends are rare and foes are plenty. A bit of a social bulldozer, Tarian likes to keep things business as far as wrestling goes. Sure he'll crack a joke on occasion, play along with some silly spots and sometimes he'll give the day's heel a nice ass whooping just so the crowd will cheer. But when it comes down to it, he's here for himself. For tally marks in the 'W' slot on his record and for gold around his waist. And odds are, he's going to go through you to get them. He's perfectly fine with that. And if you make him really mad? Well, he's struggled with anger management problems his whole life, and nobody's ever really sure how far he'll go to cause someone else pain. He once tackled another competitor off a Ferris Wheel (obviously not at the peak of it's rotation) back in MXW, if that gives you an example. He's also not above seizing an opportunity, almost any opportunity, when it presents itself. Although it's worthy of note, he's never liked dealing punishment to people who can't defend themselves. But usually, if you're fit and on the roster you're perfectly capable of seeing that sudden, run in spear coming. At least, you should be.
Finisher and Description of Finisher:
-JOUST (High impact spear, Tarian usually hits his opponent so hard they rise into the air, almost turning the move into some sort of spinebuster. The spear has been used a lot in wrestling history, but Joust is a spear unlike any other.)
-S.O.L (Jumping Pumphandle Slam)
-Stiffest Lariat Ever (King Kong Lariat, sold with a flip like the Clothesline From Hell. Always a big build up, used more rarely than the others. Has ended careers.)
Style(old school, technician, brawler, etc.): Heavy Grappler/Brawler with technician elements and a flexible style. When faced with opponents of extreme height, or simply wrestling in an appropriate match, will turn to high risk flying maneuvers (although his options there are limited)
Signature Moves(Momentum Builders):
-Spinebusters (All the time)
-Samoan Headbutt
-Deep Arm Drag
-Hammerlock Suplex (Sometimes while standing on the bottom or middle rope)
-Jumping Bicycle Kick
-Elbow Drop (All forms pretty much)
-Lionsault (Rare)
History: Ethan Roivas, A.K.A Tarian, grew up in a bit of a broken home. Relationship troubles between his parents lead to them separating shortly after he was born. Because of this, visits back and forth to his father and mother required repeat flights from Minneapolis Minnesota to Montreal, Quebec, Canada respectively. This continued until Ethan was fifteen years old where, despite the court ruling that legally placed him in the legal care of his mother, he was able to attain asylum into Canada in order to stay with his father, a professional wrestler. This was done on no whim other than Ethan's own, under the justification that his mother's consistent mental problems were causing her to emotionally abuse her son (although no evidence was ever found officially).
Even before then, the boy who would become Tarian grew up watching professional wrestling, no matter how much his mother disapproved. Hulk Hogan, Ricky Steamboat, Arn Anderson, Andre the Giant, all these names and more were permanent fixations of his youth. And once he was in Montreal, with a supportive father, he set his goal. He was going to be one of them, a legend of professional wrestling.
He received his first bout of training under his real name in 2001 when he was fourteen, but didn't get out of the indy circuit (most likely due to his age) until 2006.
At first, he was only brought into MXW (Midwest Xtreme Wrestling) for a one-night job. Syndey Widow, the "Voodoo Priestess" of the company and the reigning women's champ had employed extra security after injuring number one contender Ivy Stone, mostly because she was worried Randall Stone (her brother) would seek vengeance due to his unstable nature. Her fears turned out to be justified, as she was nearly assaulted after getting out of her limo for MXW's April PPV "Transgression". Almsot being the keyword, since Ethan Roivas was on the ball as far as protecting the Women's Champion went. Roivas fistfought Stone almost immediately after he appeared, slowly pulling Stone away from the limo before he could lay hands on Syndey and allowing the fight to spill out into the street. Stone, being a ten year veteran, was able to get the upper hand. But by the time he had Roivas on the ground, Ethan had already absorbed enough damage and killed enough time for security to arrive on the scene, as well as uniformed police officers. Syndey used her connections to get the young man a contract shortly thereafter, under the ring name 'Tarian', shield in welsh.
Tarian's MXW career was decent in length, although the only accolade he ever received during his stay was a three month reign as European Champion.
In 2009, after MXW closed it's doors, Tarian signed to REVOLUTION Wrestling based out of Indianapolis, Indiana. His stay with REVOLUTION is what got his name on the map, earning him several championship reigns. 3x Tag Team Champion, 4x HardKore Champion and 2x World Champion. One of the latter reigns as World Champion was the longest in REVOLUTION history (286 days).
REVOLUTION closed down in 2011, and Tarian hasn't wrestled since. However, he has kept in shape. And now with a contract to OOWF, he looks to add a new dominating chapter to his career.
