OOWF MidWeek Mayhem
Live! From Uijeongiou, South Korea
ALEXANDER DARLING vs. TOMMY CHONG LIThis is an interesting match-up we have coming up now as Korean sensation Tommy Chong Li is getting a great opportunity to make an impression on OOWF management. “Kung Fu Fighting” starts to play and here comes the martial arts master and former Korean champion in a variety of styles; Tommy Chong Li. He’s got the traditional karate gi on and is slapping hands with the fans as he makes his way down the aisle and around the ring. The cheers quickly turn to boos when “There Can Be Only One” booms over the sound system as the lights go dark except for the white strobe as “Prelude 12/21” by AFI starts. The drum beat hits when Alexander Darling wearing a dark pair of sunglasses steps out from the back, Darling is looking intense and focused as his sister steps up beside him. Her look is the same that we’ve always seen with the dark eye makeup, dark clothes, and pale skin but there is something slightly different about her tonight. The twins wait for a moment as the music ends and leads right into Queen’s “Princes of the Universe.” The white strobe has changed to the blue strobe as they make their way to the ring and do their best to ignore the crowd. This reaction isn’t surprising consider the Darlings history in this part of the world, but aren’t you curious to see how they’re treated back in the states? But we’re not in the states, we’re in Uijeongiu, South Korea and we’re almost ready for action here. A few last minute words from Alexis to her brother before she exits the ring and Alexander turns around and holy shit does he look pissed off.
Sterling Glaw is our ref tonight and he calls for the bell. And Alexander Darling wastes no time as he bum rushes Li and slams him hard into the corner. Darling starts off with some really hard elbows to the side of TCL’s head. He follows that up with some nasty kicks to Tommy’s stomach. Li is trying to cover up as best he can but isn’t having much success as AD is relentless in the attack and finally Li just drops to the mat hoping it’s enough to get Darling to back off. Glaw is working at that as well and finally AD backs up a few steps and seems to give the sign that he’s backing off the let Tommy get back to his feet. But it’s a ruse because as soon as Glaw turns back towards TCL, Alexander charges full speed and kills TCL with a face wash. Was that a tooth that just went flying? It doesn’t look like we’ll get a chance to find out as Darling is picking Tommy up by the hair and ripping his karate top off and he tells the crowd to quiet down. KNIFE HAND CHOP and it echoes throughout the arena. Alex does it again and again and again and he is lighting Tommy Chong Li’s chest up. Glaw is trying to get Darling to back off and he does, but he takes Li with him with a snap mare and he follows it up with a hard kick to Li’s back. TCL is in pain and on the mat. Darling isn’t happy with that and picks Li up. He hoists Li up for a suplex and decides to just hold him there. The North Korean crowd is shockingly counting in English here as Alexander Darling is showing remarkable strength here as he holds Li straight up in the air…the crowd gets to 10….now 20…and as soon as they hit 30, AD drops Tommy straight onto his head with a BRAINBUSTA.
Darling looks like he’s considering a cover, but decides against it. He gets a sadistic smile on his face as he picks up Tommy. It seems like he’s preparing for something big and he yells something out,
MOOSE, This is for you…Holy shit, Alexander Darling is getting Tommy Chong Li into position for the Heart punch. This can not be sitting well with Moosehead Jack in the back. He’s got Li all set up and goes for the punch, but pulls back at the last second and just gives Li the one-finger salute. Darling quickly follows it up with a quick kick to the stomach and he takes the now doubled over TCL up in the air and he backs into the corner. Darling spreads his arms wide and he tosses Li as far as he can with the CRUCIFIX BOMB. There is a good chance that Tommy Chong Li is dead and hopefully Darling has had enough of this. He walks over and places his foot on Li’s chest. Glaw drops to the mat and starts to make the academic count…
1…
2…
and nothing.
Alexander Darling’s foot slipped off Li’s chest. Glaw is looking at Darling and basically begging him to finish this, but Darling just shrugs and says he has no idea what happened. Darling then drags the lifeless corpse of TCL over near the corner and he heads to the outside and climbs the turnbuckle. We don’t normally see Darling employ an aerial offense but it looks like he’s sending a message to the locker room in general and specifically to Moosehead Jack that Alexander Darling is bringing everything next week in his return to Japan. He gets to the top turnbuckle and takes a second…HOLY FUCK, Alexander Darling just busted out a 450. Darling stays on top of Li and Glaw gets down to make the count…this match is over…
1…
2…
and no 3 again.
Tommy’s leg is over the bottom rope. How the fuck is that even humanly possible? This can’t be…did Alexis Darling really just save TCL in this match. Alexander snaps his head towards his sister and she’s shaking her head no. She mouths the words break it to him. Alexander just nods and gets off Li. He picks up Tommy and hits a scoop slam in the center of the ring. AD rolls over Li and he gets him into the right position for the MOTHERFUCKING CURBSTOMP. And that was nailed to perfection unlike some other wrestlers who come out with their sisters. It was nailed so good that for the first time ever one of Darling’s opponents just had their nose broken. Tommy Li is busted wide open and blood is pouring out of his nose. Darling rolls Li back over onto his back and he places his hand in between Li’s legs and flips him over into The Darling Money Clip (Texas Cloverleaf). He’s got it locked in and Li is completely unconscious. Glaw goes through the motions of raising the arm 3 times.
Once…and Darling is pulling back even harder.
Twice…and Darling stands to get more leverage on the move as he pulls back more.
And finally the arm drops a third time…and just as it does a sickening CRACK is heard in the arena.
Glaw calls for the bell as fast as he can and throws up the X as medical personnel come flying down the aisle. Alexander just snares at the not-moving Tommy Chong Li and seems to enjoy the absolute destruction he gave to the resident Korean superstar.
WINNER via referee stoppage in 7:01 – Alexander Darling
Alexander Darling walks over the ropes and reaches down towards his sister who hands him a microphone. He walks over to the corner and jumps up on the turnbuckle,
Alexander Darling: So it’s now just 7 days away Moosehead Jack. Our “tag-team” match. We both know that there’s no chance in hell you dug Poe out of whatever gutter he’s wound up in and this time, I’m not going to be surprised by a 5 on 1 attack in the back. This time it’s just going to be and you in this very ring. I’ve already left my mark on your body and next week I leave my mark on your soul. I know you have little regard for me Moose and TRUST ME when I say the feeling is fucking mutual. But you’ve gone too far and played way too many fucking games this time. You always said it wasn’t you and it wasn’t personal, but we both know that’s a lie. I’ve been a symbol, a sign of the future and you’re a worn-down, broken man Moose. Right now, it’s just your arm. Next week I may break another bone. Or maybe I’ll just break your will for this business. Maybe I’ll take YOUR HEART. So you can shut that fucking sound off now Moose. I hear it loud and clear. The games fucking end now.All of a sudden the arena goes completely dark. And we start to hear something very faintly over the sound system at first….thump thump…thump thump….thump thump…and it seems to be getting progressively louder…Thump Thump…Thump Thump…and louder…THUMP THUMP…THUMP THUMP…and now it’s blasting through the arena…
THUMP THUMP…THUMP THUMP. The sound quiet downs again as a few lights come back on. The lights are dim in the arena, leaving only a number of purple shaded lights to light the arena slightly. This is in stark contrast to reddened evening sky that appears on the jumbo-tron. The scene pans down to the Kenreimon Gate of the Imperial Palace in Kyoto, Japan.
A number of candles are spread in a semicircle in front of a kneeling figure. The kneeling figure is cloaked in a black leather duster and a black bloody towel covering his head. He’s kneeling on one knee, with his left arm resting on his knee. On his left arm is perched a flapping raven, blocking the view of his face.
You hear the rapping, the tap tap tapping don’t you? I’ve been knocking and you’re finally listening Boy. You thought you’d never see or hear from me again didn’t you?The figure moves his arm with the raven to the side and with his head still slightly down, his eyes rise to meet the camera. His glassy green eyes, the right eye tattooed with the Eye of Horus, stares into the camera with a look of sinister anger
Did you really think the mighty Pacific could protect you from ME? Did you truly think I would NOT FIND YOU?He let’s the raven fly and stands, his arms extending outward, palms outstretched facing upward.
The spirits of the night walk again, as do I boy. You disgraced not only me but my title, and for that you will be punished. I will not only take your career, as you attempted to take mine, but I will take your very soul. I created you and I will destroy you.
…And Isis, I have not forgotten about you. You have something that belongs to me. I will be collecting…very soon.
Welcome back to Japan Boy. I’ll be seeing you real soon. Until then, Namesdeh.Poe rubs his throat and then lets fly with a cloud of red mist towards the camera.
Nevermore. And the lights suddenly come back on and we see Alexander Darling staring in complete disbelief at the video screen. He is as white as a ghost…and even his SCREAMING SISTER can’t get his attention. His sister who is covered from head to toe in a deep red substance. My god, is Alexis Darling covered in blood? The white as a ghost Alexander Darling in the ring…the blood red Alexis Darling on the floor…their past sins have come back and it’s time to pay.
ECOSYSTEM & BLITZ vs. CAPELLAN & MARK VANDERBlitz and Ecosystem come down to the ring together. Perhaps this marks the beginnings of a real tag team partnership? We shall see. Capellan and Mark Vander make separate entrances. The referee calls for the bell and we’re underway! Ecosystem and Vander hook up to start. Collar and elbow tie up, and Vander powers Eco into the corner. Clean break from Vander and he and Eco circle each other again. Collar and elbow tie up, this time Eco gets leverage on Vander and pushes him into the corner. Clean break again and the crowd give polite applause. A third lock up ensues and Vander takes control with a headlock. Eco shoots him off to the ropes and hits the mat; Vander leaps over Eco, hits the opposite rope and charges back in. Eco ducks and tries to backdrop Vander. The bigger man leapfrogs Eco and rebounds off the ropes again. Eco meets him with a big hip toss. Eco follows up with a deep arm drag. Vander powers up, only to be arm dragged again. Eco connects with a dropkick before Vander gets back to his feet properly. Vander stumbles into his corner and tags in Capellan. Cap chops Eco and twists him into an arm bar. Eco reverses it and hits a quick head scissor takedown. Tag into Blitz. Blitz hits the ring running; bouncing off the ropes with a buzz saw kick. Cover for a 2 count. Capellan to his feet and is greeted with a Russian Leg Sweep, followed by a Springboard Moonsault. Another cover for a 2 count. Irish whip. Blitz hits a leg lariat that sends Capellan into his corner and draws a tag in to Vander. Vander rushes in and shoulder blocks Blitz into the corner. Back elbow. Scoop Slam. Over-the-knee back breaker and Vander stretches Blitz out for a few seconds. Gorilla Press Slam. Vander whips Blitz into the ropes and attempts the Clothesline from Hell! Blitz Ducks, rebounds off the far ropes, and hits a cross body. Vander catches Blitz and nails a fall away slam. Blitz scrambles between Vander’s legs and gets the hot tag to Ecosystem. Eco gets in a flurry of chops, kicks, and elbows. Vander staggers backwards and reaches for Capellan. Eco cuts him off, spins him around and cradles him for a 2 count. Vander tosses Eco off him and locks in a hammerlock. Vander lifts Eco up in the Flying Hammerlock. Before Eco has the chance to submit, Vander slams him down on the trapped arm! Eco writhes in pain. Vander tags in Capellan, who stalks Eco. Bicycle kick. Running knee lift. Bulldog. Cap pulls Eco to his feet, but gets caught with an elbow to the gut. Eco grabs a front face lock on Cap and drags him to Blitz’s corner. Impaler DDT! Cap gets to his feet in time to get hit with a TIGER DRIVER! Tag to Blitz, who scrambles to the top turnbuckle. BLITZ FLIP! The shooting star press finishes off Capellan, who is easy picking for a 1…2…3!
WINNERS in 7:02; Ecosystem and Blitz!
BUNNY vs. THE KNIFEBunny walks through the curtain and receives a welcomed reaction from the crowd. He flippity-flops around on the stage, then drops down and dances, break style. He kips up to his feet and handsprings his way down the ramp. He finally gets to the ring and leaps to the top rope, then does some inverted flippy twister thing and lands in a handstand. While in the handstand, the lights go out. A single spotlight shines at the top of the ramp, on the curtain. The Knife parts the curtains and walks down the center of the ramp. He gets to the ring and slides under the bottom rope. He kneels in a corner, but Bunny interrupts his prayers with a stiff spin kick to the side of the head. Knife hits the mat and immediately slides to the outside of the ring. Bunny readies himself, then shows off his vertical leap by launching himself, from a standing position, over the top rope. He goes head-over-heels once or twice before landing on Knife. He gets to his feet and pushes Knife into the ring. He jumps onto the apron, but Knife is now up and lands a hard right hand to the side of Bunny's face. Bunny nearly falls off the apron, and probably would have if Knife hadn't grabbed him. Knife pulls Bunny to the top rope and climbs up with him. He turns it around and gets Bunny in position for a top rope powerbomb. He jumps, but Bunny reverses in mid-air and hits the huracanrana on Knife. Both men are down. Bunny gets to his feet at the 5 count. Knife is up at 6. Both competitors tie-up in the middle of the ring. Knife gets the advantage and whips Bunny into a corner. He runs at him and nails him with a huge boot. Bunny's head almost flew into the third row. Knife grabs Bunny and drops him to the mat with a reverse DDT. Knife mounts the top rope and drops the leg. Luckily, Bunny rolls out of the way and Knife gets nothing. Bunny bounces himself off the ropes and hits Knife with a low dropkick. He goes for the pin, but Knife kicks out at 1. Bunny pulls Knife to his feet, but Knife reverses it and whips Bunny into the ropes. Bunny hangs on and Knife comes running at him. Bunny pulls the ropes down and Knife goes tumbling over them, to the outside. Bunny mounts the top rope quickly and waits for Knife to get to a standing position. Once he is up, Bunny jumps. He does a couple spins and flips and the audience gets dizzy watching it. He lands perfectly in Knife's arms. Knife tosses Bunny overhead with a fallaway slam into the steel guardrail. Bunny is in pain. Knife rolls back into the ring to break the count. He rolls back out and grabs a hold of Bunny. He goes to whip Bunny into the railing, but Bunny hangs on and pulls himself onto Knife's shoulders. He spins around and takes Knife down with a reverse huracanrana. Knife is spiked on his head. Bunny jumps onto the guardrail and hits a shooting star press on Knife. He rolls back into the ring and the referee begins counting. Knife is up to his feet by 8, and back in the ring by 9. Bunny stomps away at Knife before mounting the top rope. Knife, who was possibly playing possum, jumps up to his feet and pushes Bunny off the top rope. Bunny flies through the air and crashes through the timekeeper's table, on the outside of the ring. Knife rolls to the outside of the ring, attempting to finish Bunny off for good. He grabs Bunny and pile drives him into the table debris. He rolls to the inside of the ring after the assault. At a count of 9, Bunny rolls back into the ring, only to be torn apart by both feet of Knife. Knife stomps away before pulling Bunny to his feet and tossing him over the top rope like a rag doll in the shape of a bunny. He drops down and rolls to the outside of the ring. He grabs a hold of Bunny, who is halfway underneath the ring at this point, possibly trying to escape more of a beating. Knife pulls Bunny out from under the ring, and Bunny is gripping the legs of a steel chair with all his might. Knife releases Bunny and steps back, then moves in and grabs the chair. Bunny lets go and scurries into the ring. Knife keeps the chair with him as he slides in after Bunny. He stands on his feet and Bunny is quick as lightning as he dropkicks the chair into Knife's head. He is too worn out to make the pin, so Knife is able to recover soon after. Both men now on their feet, Bunny runs at Knife with a clothesline. Knife ducks it, Bunny turns around. SMASH! Bunny's head is smashed through his neck and he is now looking out of his nipples to see. The referee has no choice but to disqualify Knife for the use of the steel chair as an offensive attack.
WINNER by DQ in 12:28 - Bunny
WORLDS GREATEST FAG TEAM vs. THE NERVE AGENT & VOLTAGEThe Nerve Agent and Voltage come to the ring first, the crowd is mostly indifferent to them, but they are good sports about it and run through a series of five second poses and such just to make the crowd happy. The World’s Greatest Fag Team is announced, and they get a surprising reaction from the crowd, I guess alternative lifestyles are more embraced in South Korea than other parts of the world. MacCappington and Hardcore make their way to the ring, and the referee calls for the bell starting things off. Hardcore starts against Voltage, they circle and locks up, and Hardcore immediately grabs a side head lock, and gets shoved to the ropes, Voltage drops to the mat and Hardcore steps over him on the rebound, then hits the ropes again, Voltage tries a hip toss, but Hardcore blocks it and slips behind Voltage and grabs a hammerlock. Voltage bends over and tries to grab Hardcore’s leg, but Hardcore pushes him toward the ropes, in an awkward looking manner. The crowd roars with laughter, Hardcore realizes how it looks, and releases the hold and tags in MacCappington. Hardcore immediately jumps off the apron and spends a few seconds making out with Lauren Phoenix. MacCappington and Voltage are about to lock up when FFM catches him with a kick to the mid section, then nails a snap power bomb that slams Voltage’s head off the canvas. MacCappington hits the ropes and drops an elbow across Voltage’s chest and covers, but the two count is broken up by Nerve. FFM gets to his feet and whips Voltage to the ropes, Nerve makes a blind tag that FFM never sees, FFM stops Volt cold with a boot to the gut, then hauls him up in a vertical suplex, but Nerve climbs to the top rope and connects with a missile drop kick to FFM’s face that sends him to the mat, and Voltage out of the ring. Hardcore jumps off the apron and runs around the ring and grabs Voltage, scoops him up and hits a HARDCORE DRIVER! (package piledriver) on the floor! Voltage is out. Ryan gets back on the apron like nothing happened. Inside the ring, Nerve pulls FFM to his feet and tries a whip to the ropes, but FFM reverses it and catches Nerve with a thunderous spine buster, then grabs Nerve’s legs and calls for the WAZZUP!!! Spot with Hardcore. Hardcore climbs to the top rope and dives face first into Nerve’s crotch, which draws more laughter from the crowd. Once again Hardcore realizes that he has just done, pulls Nerve up and in a fit of rage catches him with a spinning fist to the face, then climbs to the top rope and nearly kills him with the PEARL NECKLACE!!! Hardcore tags MacCappington back into the match, he waits for Nerve to get to his feet, then bounds off the ropes and connects with a boot to the face that nearly kills Nerve. MacCappington scoops him up and PLANTS him with the Greetings From Pacific Heights, covers, and gets the one, two three!
WINNERS in 4:16 – The Worlds Greatest Fag Team
After the match Hardcore jumps into the ring and jumps into FFM’s arms and they share a manly embrace, only it is not taken as a manly embrace by the crowd. Hardcore leaves the ring and grabs Phoenix and they tongue wrestle for a moment, MacCappington soaks in the crowd for a minute, then reaches out and raises his partner’s arm in victory. Only, MacCappington looks outside the ring and sees Hardcore with Phoenix. The crowd is roaring as MacCappington slowly turns and looks and…..IT’S FIRECHILD!!! Firechild has a barbed wire bat in his free hand, he turns and cracks it right upside FFM’s skull! MacCappington goes down like a ton of bricks, and Firechild repeatedly lays into him with the bat, raking the barbed wire across his forehead until blood pours from the fresh wounds. Ryan Hardcore sees his partner in trouble and he tries to make the save, but Firechild catches him with a shot to the mid section, then drives the bat down across the back of his head. Firechild grabs MacCappington and NAILS him with a Firedriver, and waits for him to struggle back to his feet, taking some warm up swings with his bat. Just when it looks like Firechild is ready to separate MacCappington’s head from his shoulders, the rest of Bennett’s men flood the ring. Firechild leaps over the top rope and escapes through the crowd before any of them can get him. Fire pauses in the crowd and we see him snarl at MacCappington and raise his arms in victory. Inside the ring, Hardcore staggers to his feet, and the rest of Bennett’s men have to help FFM up. He sees Firechild in the crowd and shakes everyone else off and storms to the ropes and bellows with rage. I have a feeling this one is not over with.
OUTBACK JACK vs. BEASTOutback Jack makes his way to the ring and the Korean fans give him a nice round of applause, though it appears to be tempered somewhat after we saw Jack accept some sort of deal with LJ Bennett earlier this week. Beast is announced and he comes to the ring and looks absolutely menacing. The Korean fans give him the silent treatment, which from what we are told is a sign of respect among the Asian folks. The two men meet in the center of the ring and we get a good old fashioned stare down. The referee calls for the bell, and it is like someone unleashed Pavlov’s dogs. Beast and Jack start trading haymakers with Beast getting the better of it backing Jack against the ropes. Beast tries a whip, but Jack puts on the brakes and reverses it, but Beast rebounds off the ropes and catches him with a thunderous clothesline that sends Jack out of the ring to the floor. Beast follows him outside the ring and grabs a chair and swings for the fences, but Jack moves out of the way and the ring post takes the brunt of the abuse. Jack slides into the ring to escape Beast’s wrath. As Beast follows, Jack kicks the bottom rope right up into Beast’s crotch doubling the big man over in pain. Jack grabs him by the hair and pulls him to the center of the ring and sets him up for an old fashioned pile driver, and at the last second turns it into a cradle pile driver! Jack smiles confidently as he covers Beast, hooking the leg, but Beast kicks out at two. Jack is stunned and argues with the referee a bit. Bad move on Jack’s part. He turns back to Beast and Beast is on his feet. Beast explodes on Jack hammering him with rights and lefts, and ending it with a whip to the ropes and a boot to the face. Jack falls back between the ropes to the floor, Beast follows him out of the ring again and the two men fight around ring side. The referee allows a lot of lee way, which results in both men being a bloody mess. Both men end up back in the ring and Jack has a chair with him that he raises to blast Beast with, but Beast punches the chair back into Jack’s face. That staggers OBJ enough for Beast to grab him and plant him on the mat with a choke slam, cover and get a two count. Beast pulls Jack to his feet and is about to set him up for a suplex, but Jack rakes the eyes and heads to the top rope. He waits for Beast to get to his feet, then leaps, but Beast catches him in mid-air with a swinging hammer (Polish Hammer)! Jack falls to the mat gasping for breath, Beast may have broken his ribs there. Beast pulls Jack to his feet and hammers him with the MONSTER HAMMER O’DEATH! He covers, but Jack gets his foot on the bottom ropes. Beast lets Jack get to his feet and he staggers around for a moment, Beast goes across the ring and crouches ready to strike. When Jack turns around Beast charges for a spear, but Jack picks up the chair that was left in the ring and swings with all his might and connects with Beast’s skull just before he hits the spear. Beast drops like a rock in the center of the ring, out cold. The whole thing was in plain view of the referee so he calls for the bell.
WINNER by DQ in 6:06 – Beast
After the match Outback Jack stands in the center of the ring staring blankly out over the crowd. An evil smile spreads across his face and he starts to twitch a little bit, then he throws up the Empty Team sign. What the? Could it be? Is Empty Team returning to the OOWF?
PHANTOS, LUCIOS, CONTRETE TG & AMNISIAC vs. JOHNNY ADRENALINE, ATTITUDE ADJUSTER, ERIC O’MAC & TYSON KINCAIDPhantos, Lucios, Concrete TG and Amnesiac make their way to the ring to the roar of the crowd. They pause in the middle of the ring while the Korean fans go wild with pictures and screams of appreciation. Then Right Now fires up and The Heels, Eric O’Mac and Tyson Kincaid storm the ring and attack, and the crowd immediately goes to riotous boos. The Heels and Phantos & Lucios mix it up in the center of the ring, while Eric O’Mac catches Crete with a spinning heel kick that sends both of them over the top rope to the floor. Tyson Kincaid and Amnesiac go toe to toe and exchange chops and punches to the side of the head. Johnny and AA back P&L to the opposite corners and pepper them with shots to the chest and try a double whip to the corners, but Phantos & Lucios reverse it, and at the same time Amnesiac steps out of the way and The Heels sandwich Tyson Kincaid and all three fall to the mat. Eric slides back into the ring and helps his partners back to their feet, Crete slides in right behind him, and he and his partners wait. As The Heels, Eric and Kincaid get to their feet Crete, Phantos, Lucios and Amnesiac hit a QUADRUPLE DROPKICK that sends all four men over the top rope to the floor! Phantos, Lucios, Amnesiac and Crete take their positions on the four corners and the crowd comes unglued. Tens of thousands of pictures are taken as the members of Rick’s Army soak in the cheers and Bennett’s men seethe on the outside. Attitude Adjuster distracts Amnesiac from the outside and Johnny Adrenaline slips into the ring and attacks him from behind pulling him off the turnbuckle and slamming him to the mat. The referee decides that they are the two legal men and the match is underway. Johnny nails Amnesiac with several stiff kicks to the face, then pulls him to his feet and scoops him up and plants him on the mat. Adrenaline hits the ropes and drops a knee across Amnesiac’s sternum, then reaches out and tags in Eric O’Mac. Eric springs over the top rope and drops a leg across Amnesiac’s chest and covers, but he can only get a two count. Eric pulls him to a sitting position, then lands a couple of stiff kicks to the back of his head, then bounds off the ropes and connects with a drop kick to the face. Eric reaches up and tags in Kincaid, he comes in and pulls Amnesiac to his feet and shoves him into a neutral corner, then picks his spots carefully, landing some stiff shots to the body, followed by an elbow to the side of the face that sends Amnesic out of the corner to the mat. Kincaid taunts the face corner, then pulls Amnesiac up and sends him to the ropes and catches him in a sleeper hold! Amnesiac fights as best he can, but he starts to fade. Crete, Phantos and Lucios all cheer him on from outside the ring, and get the Korean fans into it as well. Amnesiac gets a spark of life and fights back to his feet and reverses the move into a belly to back suplex. Both men are down on the mat and the referee starts the ten count. Both men get to their feet at seven, Kincaid is blocking Amnesiac from getting to his corner, Amnesiac tries a kick to the mid section, but Kincaid easily catches it, then gets an enzuguri upside his head for his efforts. Once again both men are down, Kincaid staggers to his feet and tries to grab Amnesiac, who is crawling to his corner, but Amnesiac gets a burst of energy and lunges forward and makes the tag to Concrete TG! Crete comes in a house of fire and nails Kincaid with a forearm to the side of the head. The Heels run in and they eat shots to the head for good measure. Eric O’Mac sneaks up behind Crete and spins him around and tries a clothesline, but Crete ducks and catches Eric with an atomic drop that sends him crashing into Kincaid. Crete plays the crowd and lifts Kincaid for a vertical suplex, but before he leaves the ring, Attitude Adjuster comes off the ropes and clips Crete’s leg sending him and Kincaid to the mat. Tyson reaches out and tags in Eric. Eric comes in and immediately goes to work on the knee that AA clipped, stomping away and dropping elbows across the knee. Eric reaches out and tags in AA, he immediately locks Crete in a figure four. Crete strains in the center of the ring, but refuses to quit. Johnny Adrenaline steps through the ropes, and that draws Phantos and Lucios into the ring to defend their partner. While the referee is escorting Phantos and Lucios out of the ring, Eric O’Mac leaps to the top rope and connects with a frog splash across Crete’s legs! His leg might be broken! This brings Phantos and Lucios back into the ring and a huge melee ensues. Tyson Kincaid grabs Amnesiac and throws him between the ropes to the floor. Phantos and Lucios go after Johnny Adrenaline, Johnny slips out of the ring to safety. Inside the ring, AA has Crete on his feet and has him held with his arms behind his back. Eric leaves the ring and comes back with a steel chair and lines Crete up, and swings, and naturally at the last second he moves and the chair crashes down on AA’s skull! Eric stands stunned for a moment, and Crete pops him in the mouth with a super kick that sends him over the ropes to the floor. Crete turns back to a dazed Attitude Adjuster and hits the CEMENT MIXER! Covers, and gets the one, two, three!
WINNERS in 12:59 – Phantos, Lucios, Concrete TG & Amnesiac
After the match, the fight continues outside the ring, chairs get involved and just when it looks like Bennett’s men might get the upper hand, Davin Moreland runs to the ring with a can 0’plunder and tosses it to Rick’s men. Bennett’s men make a wise retreat and threaten endless amounts of pain and suffering as they back up the ramp and leave the victors to celebrate in the ring.
CHRIS COLE vs. DAVIN MORELAND – Best of Seven Series, Match 5: Series Tied at 2The sound of James Hetfield’s guitar booms over the PA system, and “The Main Event” Chris Cole makes his way down the ramp. He seems to be enjoying himself talking trash to the fans until he makes his way into the ring to a loud chorus of boos. Cole seems to enjoy soaking them in as he poses around the ring. “Master of Puppets” fades out and the crowd rises to their feet in expectation. “Pull Me Under” starts and the Korean crowd starts a “More-rand” chant. About 30 seconds into the song, a murmur from the crowd turns into a full buzz. The music stops and then re-starts, only to have the same thing happen. Time goes by, no Davin Moreland. This is very odd.
Russ: We have word that something’s happened backstage.
The ninja cameraman gets into position, and somewhere in the hallway between the Run DLP Locker Room, Presented by Aquafina and the curtain, we see Davin Moreland laid out and unconscious, bleeding from the head, nose, arms and shoulders.
Joey Styles: Oh. My. God.
Russ: We’ll be right back after this!
*Commercials for Sony, Dunkin’ Donuts, Starwood Hotels, and Mountain Dew*
As we come back from commercial, we see the “Moments Ago” logo, and apparently, there was another ninja cameraman in another position, who caught the attack. We see Harper Camby, Eric O’Mac, The Dead and The Heels dishing out a brutal beatdown with assorted Clangy Poles, Baseball Bats, and an Autographed Sledgehammer with a name we can’t quite make out. Seemingly satisfied after a few minutes, they all bump knuckles and head on their way, leaving Moreland half dead on the ground.
The camera cuts to Cole in the ring, who is visibly pissed off by this turn of events, but gets in a conversation with Referee Davis Hightower as to what to do. After a few minutes of discussion, Hightower appears ready to call for the bell and start a ten count, but before he does, “Pull Me Under” fires up through the PA again. To a thunderous ovation, we see Davin Moreland, in horrible shape at the top of the ramp. He’s being helped to the ring area by Lucios and Carl from Fresno, and both they and Phantos are literally begging him not to get in the ring, but Davin; stubborn bastard that he is, ignores them. He tells them he’s fine, although he’s still bleeding from before, one eye is completely closed, and it’s clear he can put no weight on his left leg. It’s a production to get him in the ring, and they lean him against a turnbuckle, and go talk to Davis Hightower. Run DLP leaves the ring but remains at ringside to keep an eye on things, and also to probably tell Hightower to stop the match if necessary. Hightower goes to Davin to check on him and talk to him; to which all we hear is “I’m FINE!” With that, Hightower shrugs and points to the timekeeper for the bell, and WE’RE UNDERWAY!
Cole seems hesitant to get started, tentatively walking over to Moreland, who hasn’t moved from the turnbuckle. Cole looks in, and then sprints to the other side of the ring. He charges, and hits a HUGE splash on Moreland who doesn’t move at all. Cole Snap-Mares Moreland out of the corner, and it looked like Cole was tossing dead weight. Cole climbs the nearest turnbuckle to the second rope and comes off with a BRET HART ELBOW! It connects and again, Davin has no intention of moving. This should be a quick match. Cole covers: 1, 2, thr---NO! Moreland Kicked Out! His stable mates at ringside are begging Davin to just stay down. Cole seems a little surprised, but is unfazed. He pulls the big man up, quite the chore, and looks to pull him up for a Headliner! Phantos hops the apron BEGGING Hightower to stop the match. Cole jumps up to hit the move, but Davin locks his legs around Cole’s head for a HEAD SCISSORS TAKEOVER! Phantos drops off the mat, his jaw hanging wide open. The crowd is going batshit! Davin collapses to the mat, but crawls to the ropes to pull himself to his knees, and trying to get to his feet. A stunned Cole shakes the cobwebs out and sees the severely limited Moreland pulling himself up. He goes to charge across the ring, but Moreland pulls the rope down! LOW BRIDGE! Cole flies unprotected out to the floor, apparently on his face. Hightower starts a count.
At the count of 4, Cole still hasn’t really moved, but Moreland has. He’s used the ropes to pull himself to the turnbuckle, and pull himself up to the top. Phantos, Lucios and Carl from Fresno have surrounded him from the floor, imploring him to get down. Stubborn Davin ignores them, and stands on the turnbuckle, nearly falling off with one of his knees pretty much useless. He Jumps! MOONSAULT FROM THE TURNBUCKLE TO COLE ON THE FLOOR CONNECTS! The buzz from the crowd is dead silent momentarily, and then sees Davin stirring. A huge cheer goes up when he crawls and limps to the apron at the count of 5. Moreland rolls in at 7, and Cole, who got hurt big time from the Moonsault, manages to crawl in at 8. Both men are on the mat, and recovering, and Hightower starts a count.
At 5, Cole is up first, but Moreland isn’t far behind as Cole crosses the ring. Down the ramp comes Harper Camby, The Dead, Eric O’Mac and The Heels all carrying weapons, and they apparently have worked out a plan, as The Dead and The Heels go immediately after Phantos, Lucios and Carl From Fresno. While this is happening, Cole pulls Davin to his feet and assaults him with chops. Davin limps away toward the middle of the ring, and Cole gets to him quickly and locks his hands around Davin’s waist, setting up for a German Suplex, but Davin manages to get his hands around Cole’s head…REALLY GOOD DIAMOND CUTTER OUT OF NOWHERE! Crowd is ROCKING the arena! Can Moreland cover? He’s struggling to even move! Harper Camby hops up on the apron, and starts yapping at Hightower, as the melee continues outside. Hightower goes over to yell at the roided-out freak, which allows Eric O’Mac and his Autographed Sledgehammer to slide into the ring (we still can’t see the autograph). Somehow, Davin gets to his knees, and scans the ring for Cole’s location. Cole is still laid out on the mat. Davin is about to flop over for the cover, but Eric O’Mac gets in between Moreland and Cole, and gets a sick smile on his face. Davin is weaving back and forth on his knees, his face and chest completely covered in blood and the one eye still closed, and he appears to be bleeding from the mouth now. Eric says something to Davin that looks to be something like “Payback’s a Bitch”, takes a full baseball swing, and drills Davin right between the eyes with the sledgehammer. The force of the blow blasts Moreland off his knees and into the ropes, but on his feet; leaning on the ropes. O’Mac slips out of the ring just as Cole starts to stir. Camby is still yapping at Hightower, while Cole again shakes out the cobwebs, and moves toward Davin. Davin is defenseless. Cole DRILLS him with the GRECO-ROMAN PUNT TO THE BALLS! Davin’s unconscious, but his legs involuntarily give out. Camby drops off the apron, and Hightower turns around just in time to see Cole hook Moreland in a SCHOOLBOY ROLLUP! He puts his FEET ON THE ROPES and has a HANDFUL OF TIGHTS! Hightower slides in to cover: 1, 2, 3! It’s over. Trash fills the ring.
WINNER by DARLING FINISH in 16:28…”THE MAIN EVENT” CHRIS COLE! Chris Cole leads the best of seven series 3-2.
Post-match, Cole, O’Mac, Dead, Camby and The Heels look to starts a 6 on 3 beat down of the rest of Run DLP as Davin lies near death in the ring. Suddenly, “Skin” by Nonpoint fires up through the PA, and ALL of Drink and Destroy shows up on the ramp and threateningly walks down the ramp. Bennett’s Crew decides discretion is the better part of valor, and they chickenshit high-tail it through the crowd. D&D and the rest of DLP surround Davin, as Hightower frantically makes the “Dreaded X” sign to the back. Paramedics rush out, and Davin does the stretcher job.
FIREWOMAN vs. THE DEAD – OOWF Onslaught Championship Match“Doomsday Clock” by the Smashing Pumpkins blasts over the PA, and The Dead makes his way out to a chorus of boos and “You Suck” chants. The Dead seems to enjoy it and he taunts the crowd while making his way to the ring, and Douchebag posing on the turnbuckles for fun. The music stops momentarily as the crowd buzzes before “Firewoman” by The Cult starts, and Firewoman, with taped ribs, arrives at the top of the ramp with Alexander and Alexis Darling, as well as Lucky, who is doing whatever Valets do. Firewoman grabs her belt and tries to raise it over her head, but she can only get it in front of her face; which is enough for the crowd. Firewoman, puts the belt back on, and then stares into the ring, and points to The Dead, and audibly growls and SPRINTS to the ring. As she’s making her way down, The Dead says something like “It was just business, I swear”, but Fire apparently really doesn’t give a shit, and slides in firing Closed-Fist Haymakers at the caught-off-guard Dead. Sterling Glaw is taken aback but rings the bell instinctively, and WE’RE UNDERWAY!
Fire continues her assault, and is ROCKING Dead with Hard Shots. Dead is reeling backwards as Fire presses on. Glaw notices the Closed Fists and starts a count. At 4, Fire changes her attack, grabs The Dead’s hair and starts bashing his head off the turnbuckle. Glaw counts again, and at 4 again, Fire wraps the tag rope around Dead’s throat in a blatant choke. Glaw gets to 4 again, and physically pushes Firewoman back. Fire glares at the ref, and then takes off her Title Belt, and BLASTS Dead in the head with it! Glaw has no choice but to call for the bell.
WINNER by DQ in 2:47…THE DEAD! Firewoman remains Onslaught Champion.
Firewoman is nowhere near done, and starts to WHIP The Dead with the Title Belt! She screams to Lucky “Grab Me a Chair and a Mic!” Lucky obliges, as Alexander, Alexis and Lucky all form a wall in front of Firewoman, as she sticks The Dead’s ankle in the chair…uh oh. “Close the Casket on This Bitch!” Fire says as she hits a FIRESAULT onto the chair in a blatant attempt to Pillmanize it. Another…and another…and then Fire hits a HUGE Springboard Legdrop on it! Dead is HOWLING in pain. Satisfied, The DEA leaves the ring to “Firewoman”.
THE MIDNIGHT SONS vs. BAD vs. IHOP – OOWF World Tag Team Title MatchBig stare down between Magnusson, Hansen, Wrath, and Seamus, as SYB and Skurge look on in confusion. IHOP walks up into the fray demanding similar respect, and DHM and Seamus drop them simultaneously. Spin and Damon throw hands and we have a brawl. The Sons and BAD slug it out, stiffing the hell out each other. Magnusson and McNasty fall out to the floor as Wrath and Spin fight back to a corner. That allows IHOP to sneak in and jump Hansen from behind. 3 on 1 beat down ensues, with SYB calling the shots until Wrath shoves him out of the way. Damon takes control, so IHOP then jumps him instead. Seamus sends DHM to the guardrail and goes in to help his partner, getting rid of Skurge and SYB with ease. BAD kicks the shit out of IHOP all over the ring, but Spin slips back in and takes Damon's head off with a lariat. The ref has no control at all of this one and seems content allowing this one to go under Texas Tornado rules. Spin and Seamus slug it out, and Skurge schoolboys Seamus from behind looking for a cheap pin, but DHM drags him off and pounds him out to the floor. SYB clips Spin's knee and looks to work it over, but DHM gets him with a belly to back suplex. Damon dumps SYB to the floor, and we have another brawl between the Sons and BAD. Seamus clotheslines Spin out to the apron. They have it out on the apron, but Seamus kicks Spin's knee to get the advantage and runs the ropes and slams him into the ring post. DHM and Damon are alone in the ring, and Magnusson tries an Irish whip, but Damon reverses it, and DHM gets low bridged by SYB, who's grabbing the ropes to get back in. SYB watches Magnusson whiz by him... and turns right around into High Times!! Cover... 1...2... and Spin drags Damon off the cover and to the floor. Seamus is pissed and turns to finish off SYB again, but Skurge flies in off the top with a missile dropkick~! Cover gets only two, and Skurge walks right into DHM and gets a big choke slam for his troubles. One, two... and Seamus breaks that up. Seamus and DHM have it out again, Magnusson back dropping Seamus to the floor. DHM follows out and the Sons and BAD brawl into the crowd down the aisle. The ref starts a count and neither team cares. SYB and Skurge begin to stir in the ring as the ref gets to 8.......9......10!
WINNERS by count out in 11:04: IHOP
DONOVAN VIPER vs. STANK – OOWF Intercontinental Title MatchStank makes his way to the ring first, looking very focused. He stares up the aisle as the Intercontinental Champion, Donovan Viper enters the arena, accompanied by Moosehead Jack. When they reach the ring, Stank and Moose exchange a nod, and Moose finds a seat at the timekeeper’s table. Referee Junior Hale displays the Intercontinental Title to the crowd and calls for the bell.
They lock up and Stank takes the immediate advantage, using his size to back Viper into the corner. He rocks the champion with chops and whips him across the ring, following with an avalanche. At the last second, Viper drops out of the way, and Stank hits the turnbuckles hard. Viper rolls to his feet and grabs a stumbling Stank, planting him with a DDT. Viper presses the attack with kicks punctuated by knees and elbows to the head. Viper hits the ropes, drives a knee into Stank’s temple, and covers, but Stank kicks out at two.
Viper pulls Stank up and throws him to the corner, following him in with a clothesline. He immediately whips Stank to the opposite corner and repeats the clothesline. He tries for a third Irish whip but Stank puts on the breaks and pulls Viper back, driving him into the mat with a belly-to-belly suplex. Stank hooks the leg and gets a two count.
Both men get warily to their feet. They lock up, and Viper staggers Stank with a knee to the midsection. Before he can follow up, Stank lashes out with a vicious right hand. Viper responds in kind and they stand toe-to-toe exchanging punches. Stank’s size advantage gives him the edge until Viper rakes the eyes, following up with a kick and a DDT. He doesn’t bother with a cover, but rains punches down on Stank until Junior threatens to disqualify him. Viper considers taking the easy out, but chooses not to, hitting the ropes and driving a leg into Stank’s throat. He covers, and Stank rolls a shoulder just before the three.
Viper pulls Stank to a sitting position, drives his knee into his back, and grabs his chin in both hands, trying to pull his head off. Junior asks, and Stank refuses to submit. Stank powers out by pulling Viper off his feet, then rolls him over into a Boston crab. Viper grabs the ropes and Junior forces the break. Stank releases the hold and stomps on Viper’s back before pulling him to his feet and slamming him to the mat. He plants Viper with a delayed vertical suplex, and picks him up for the Stank U. Viper goes with the momentum and slides across Stank’s back, grabbing the top rope and pulling himself out onto the apron. Viper ducks a punch and drives his shoulder into Stank’s midsection. He tries for a sunset flip, but Stank catches him and tosses him to the outside.
Stank steps out onto the apron as Viper gets slowly to his feet. Stank runs along the apron an hits a flying clothesline that flips Viper over backwards and leaves him face down on the floor. Since it’s a title match (and he’s not too bright), Junior foregoes the count and heads to the floor to get them back in the ring. As a result, he misses Viper’s blatant low blow as Stank pulls him to his feet. Viper grabs Stank and runs his oft-injured shoulder into the ring post, then slams his head into it as well. Viper props Stank against the ring post and backs off. He goes for the Death Elbow, but Stank ducks and Viper hits the steel. Stank pulls Viper onto his shoulders and Stank-U’s him through the Indonesian announce Table! Junior checks on Viper, but lets the match continue.
Stank pulls Viper to his feet and tries to throw him into the ring, but Viper puts on the brakes, drives an elbow into Stank’s throat, and drops him with a stunner. Viper pulls him up, but Stank reverses a whip into the railing. Stank charges, but Viper shoulders him over the railing into the crowd. Viper climbs over the railing as well and they slug it out among the fans. Stank levels Viper with a roundhouse, and accepts a beer from a fan. Viper get to his feet and swings, but Stank dodges and the fan goes down. That’s going to cost Bennett some money.
Junior finally reaches the combatants and orders them out of the crowd. Unfortunately, instead of the ring, they brawl toward the back of the arena. Junior still thinks he can regain control, so he lets them go and follows them. They reach an emergency exit, and Stank slams Viper through it face first. The fire alarm blares as they brawl out into the parking lot. As Stank slams Viper into a parked car, Junior realizes it’s a lost cause and returns to the arena to call for the bell.
WINNER - NO CONTEST in 18:45.
After the match: A squadron of referees and security pour out of the arena and, eventually, manage to separate Viper and Stank. Members of both Bennett’s and Rick’s teams attempt to join in, but are stopped by the Uijeongiu police, who arrived with the fire department in response to the alarm.
LD WILLIAMS vs. CARL FROM FRESNO – OOWF World Heavyweight Title MatchCarl From Fresno enters first, looking much more cleaned up than we are used to seeing him. Well, at least the parts of his attire that are branded with the Aquafina logo. The fans seem to be generally behind him as he steps into the ring. LD Williams appears at the top of the ramp to a smattering of boos. He holds the title up high and confidently makes his way down the ramp. He never takes his eyes off of Carl as he steps through the ropes. The referee holds the title up and signals for the bell.
LD and Carl tie-up to start things off. LD shoves Carl away, but Carl comes right back and ties-up again. LD whips Carl into the ropes but Carl catches himself and stops his momentum. LD charges at Carl but Carl manages to dodge just in time, low-bridging LD and sending him to the outside. Carl is pleased with himself, but he doesn't notice that LD managed to land on his feet on the outside. Williams slides back into the ring and charges at Carl once again. This time Carl isn't quick enough and he is flattened by a big clothesline. LD yells for Carl to get up, and after a second he obliges. LD throws a right hand that connects squarely on Carl's jaw. Carl reels back and then catches another punch to the jaw. LD attempts a third right hand, but Carl has wised up and blocks it. Carl throws a punch of his own, then another, then another. Carl has captured the momentum and whips LD into the corner. Carl charges in after him, but LD gets a foot up and connects with a big boot, sending Carl staggering backwards. LD collects himself for a moment and then whips Carl into the ropes. LD attempts a hip toss but Carl lands on his feet and connects with a hip toss of his own. Surprisingly, Carl goes for a cover immediately. He barely gets a one count before LD Williams easily kicks out. LD gets back to his feet and yells at Carl. "You're gonna need more than that!" Carl takes offense and charges at LD, but WIlliams catches him and delivers a vicious spinebuster. Cover...One...Two...Carl kicks out. LD picks him up and looks for some more offense but Carl catches him with a knee to the gut. Carl follows it up with an elbow to the head before whipping Williams toward the ropes. LD is able to reverse it, however, and sends Carl on his way. Williams telegraphs his move a split-second too early and Carl is able to catch him with a swinging neckbreaker. Carl quickly flips LD over and locks in an ankle lock! LD is in a bit of a bad spot as Carl tightens his grip. LD is finally able to crawl his way to the ropes and Carl is forced to break the hold. Carl is looking impressive here as he moves to capitalize with a few stomps to LD's ankle. Williams uses his other foot to shove Carl away and then gets to his feet. The two begin to trade blows in the middle of the ring. The crowd cheers as each punch lands solidly until Williams takes the advantage. Williams backs Carl into the corner and begins to land devastating shoulder-blocks to Carl's midsection. Somehow, Carl is able to sidestep one of the attempts from LD and manages to reverse positions and put LD in the corner. Carl mounts the turnbuckle and begins to throw punch after punch to the top of LD's head. The crowd counts along with him and cheers when he actually gets to 10. Instead of letting up, Carl hooks LD's head and it looks like he's going for a Tornado DDT! Luckily for him, LD is able to shove Carl off just in time. Carl pops right back to his feet and charges in with a spear, but LD gets out of the way and sends Carl shoulder-first into the post. Carl dislodges himself and staggers backwards...right into a kick in the gut and a DDT! LD Williams goes for the cover...One...Two...Three. This one is over.
