Name: Grunt
Height: 7’ 2” But with lifts in his boots, he gets exaggerated up to nearly eight foot tall
Weight: 565lbs.
Face/Heel/Neutral: Heel
Build: Typical giant body type ala Andre, Big Show
Physical Description: Very pale skin almost albino. He’s totally hairless, bald, no eyebrows, and no arm or leg hair. He never speaks. His only communication is, (you guessed it,) a grunt.
Entrance Music: Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb” (this was chosen specifically for the opening lyric of “Hello, is there anybody in there?”)
Finisher and Description of Finisher: Unnamed body splash ( Like Kamala.) Basically, Grunt is so big that he just wears his opponent out. When his opponent can no longer stand, Grunt delivers a splash that often is so devastating that his opponents are sent into momentary convulsions. Grunt stays on top of his opponents and continues to smother them even after the match has stopped and the ref is helpless to get him up. Only Grunt’s handlers L.J. Bennett and Sydney Shale can get Grunt to listen and release his opponent from certain doom.
Style(old school, technician, brawler, etc.): Old school brawler.
A Note on Grunt’s gimmick: The idea behind Grunt is that he is big, dumb and angry. Think of him as a giant, heel, Eugene. It is said that Grunt has the mind of a child, but the rage of a bull, Grunt’s mother abandoned him when he was a child because she could no longer afford to feed or care for him. He was placed in an orphanage where he was constantly abused and picked on. He was eventually asked to leave the orphanage when he realized, one day, that he was bigger and stronger than the ones who were picking on him and his multiple attackers found themselves in the intensive care ward at Community Hospital. Homeless and living on the street, he was discovered by a Carne group who befriended him and took care of him an eventually placed him in their carnival sideshow of freaks. He spent many happy years there, performing feats of strength and slowly he became a minor attraction.
All of this finally drew the attention of small time wrestling promoter L.J. Bennett. Bennett had inherited a fortune from his dead Momma and used his money to buy a down at the heels wrestling promotion and he made the sideshow people an offer they could not refuse. He bought Grunt from them for $25,000 dollars, which was more money than any of them had ever seen.
Grunt was paired with a handler/manager named Sydney Shale and instantly became the Heavy Weight Champion of BCW (Bennett Championship Wrestling) when he defeated former champ Rusty Zipper in a total squash. After BCW folded, (in reality, bought out by our OOWF,) Bennett, Sydney Shale and Grunt came to the OO Wrestling Federation, to dominate its ranks. Grunt is not unbeatable, he just looks that way.
