Name: Kenji (no last name)
Height: An average 5’10”
Weight: An average 200 lbs.
Face/Heel/Neutral: Neutral. Think stereotypical martial artist who is guided by his own code. Build: Think Ryu from “Street Fighter”.
Physical Description: Looks like Ryu from Street Fighter, only a tad more Asian. Dark hair, dark eyes, dresses in red gi bottoms and the cool sleeveless white gi top. Has a headband that trails out behind him, because what self-respecting martial artist doesn’t? Muscular, but not roid-muscles. Think Jean Claude Van Damme’s body build.
Music: The generic martial arts music with flutes, drums and the like. Specific song is “The Second Day” from Bloodsport.
Common Moveset: Crescent kick into a butterfly kick into a spin kick. Double chop to the sides of the neck. Flying side kick. A number of throws and takedowns, such as the monkey toss, hip toss, headlock throw (opponent grabs Kenji in a head lock, Kenji steps back, pops his hip into opponent’s hip and tosses said opponent over his hip/shoulder). Leg sweeps. Chops and palm strikes.
Finishers: Van Damme Spin Kick. The ever popular "go down on one knee, drive an open palm into the opponent's solar plexus", complete with dramatic pause.
Backstory:
No one really knows for sure. According to rumor he is on a path of spiritual enlightenment. Sitting on a hill for forty days and forty nights did not show him the universal understanding he had been seeking. He traveled from town to town, seeking knowledge where he could. One of the “masters” he learned from was a former grappler, and the tales intrigued Kenji. He decided to go to one of the grappling centers to see if that was the possible next step on his journey. He found himself at the OOWF, and is intrigued enough to stay. At the very least, the stylized form of combat practiced by those in the OOWF allows him to keep his fighting skills strong.
