The Refs:
Davis Hightower
The newest referee to the OOWF, and also the current head referee (much to Mel Creech's chagrin). Middle-aged. Strives for neutrality and honesty in all of his dealings, but isn't driven (like Glaw) to side with faces nearly as much. He's tall, of African-American descent, and big enough that if you push him around he'll push right back (he's a retired boxer). He came into the OOWF at the request of Spin Hansen, who wanted an "impartial" referee to oversee the Spin Hansen / Moosehead Jack / Stank v. Concrete TG world title match. He floated for a few months after that and became an established referee soon after. He was named Head Referee by GM The Rick after Sterling Glaw's ouster.
Mel Creech
Mel's been around almost as long as Sterling, but isn't quite the impressive, imposing force. Mel's just in it for the money (and the money sucks). Mel's willing to look the other way for the guys if he needs to, but it's cash in advance. For a little more he'll stock the underside of the ring with all sorts of weapons. Apparently bought himself a new car after the MHJ/CTG feud was over from all the barbed wire he had to order. He's an older guy with thinning brown hair, dark eyes and a bit of a beer gut.
Angelo Barros
Angelo wants to be a wrestler so bad he can taste it, but he lacks the coordination to execute a proper move. He's very attentive to what's going on in the ring and seems the best at maintaining order. Some fans might think he's just authoritative, but the wrestlers listen because that's when Angelo threatens to put some wrestling moves on them.... and NO wrestler wants to tell his kids that he was injured by some nutcase ref and have to leave the business.
Junior Hale
Gavin's been in the biz for about 9 years now and kinda likes having that sort of power at hand. He tries to act tough, but rarely refs anything higher than midcard cause his arguments with wrestlers rarely end pretty. Junior's lanky, clean-shaven, and looks like he's only about 14.
-- Former Referees --
Sterling Glaw
Sterling has been a ref in the wrestling busines for over 30 years. He's a no-nonsense ref who will order wrestlers around, argue with the bad-asses, swing a chair at Moosehead Jack, and keep Donnie Viper at arms-length at all times. Easily recognized by his black flat-top, white sideburns and salt-and-pepper beard. One of the few refs that can be heard anywhere in the arena. Glaw is no longer a referee in the OOWF due to accusations of favoritism between himself and the Heroes Guild.
