ALEXANDER DARLING, RAVENNA BLUE & CONCRETE TG vs. MOOSEHEAD JACK, STANK & POERepresenting The Five: Moosehead Jack, Poe, and Stank vs. Concrete Takaken Gryfon, OOWF Onslaught Champion Ravenna Blue, and OOWF World Heavyweight Champion Alexander Darling w/Alexis
This one is not going to be for the weak of heart. The Five are one of the most vicious and brutal stables in the history of the OOWF and while they may claim that their opponents aren’t up to that caliber, but Gryfon and Darling have a long history with their enemies and have shown that they are more than capable of competing in the trenches. The wild card for this match may be Ravenna Blue. Ravenna likes to talk about wrestling and competing honorably, but we’ll see what happens tonight when The Five bring the violence and plunder. And here they come from the back to Moosehead Jack’s “Scarecrow” by Ministry. All three men are dressed in street clothes and brandishing weapons of their choosing; Moose has his trusty barbwire baseball bat, Stank has a shovel, and Poe has a kendo stick that he is twirling in his hands. Selena is a few steps behind and quickly gets to the ring and takes a seat at ringside. Poe, Moose, and Stank get into the ring and await their opponents. Gryfon is out first and has his own baseball bat to counteract Moose. Ravenna is next to come out and she’s carrying a garbage can full of plunder and even has her fists taped up and looks ready for war. They stand on the stage and await their partner who steps out as soon as Godsmack’s “I Stand Alone” hits. The lights come back on in the building and we see Alexander is wearing Ketsueki Seishin’s mask and carrying a sledgehammer down to the ring.
Moose looks livid in the ring and in fact heads to the outside to meet Darling halfway down the aisle as Ravenna and Crete run past and get into the ring to face off with Poe and Stank. Once they get into the ring, Junior Hale bails to the outside and calls for the bell and lets the bedlam begin. Let’s start on the outside where Moose and Darling are swinging their weapons at one another with reckless abandon, but neither are connecting and it looks like MHJ is getting more frustrated until Alex feints a shot one way and ducks under Moose’s swing of the bat and wraps the sledgehammer around his throat and hitting a side-Russian leg sweep on the ramp. And now Darling takes advantage as he is all over Moose sending him from one barricade to the next around the outside.
Inside the ring, it looks like Poe and Stank have the upper hand as Crete is in one corner trying to get to his feet as Poe whips Stank into Ravenna in the opposite corner like a freight train. Poe follows him in with a clothesline and now it’s Stank’s turn to whip Poe towards the opposite corner and he kills Crete dead with a roaring elbow. Poe lifts a dazed CTG off the mat and tosses him to Stank who lifts him up high in the air and nails a POWERBOMB but doesn’t let go. Stank is going for the STANKBOMB but as he lifts Crete for the second time, Ravenna pulls herself back to her feet and slams Stank in the back with a stop sign. Stank winds up dropping Gryfon and staggering out of the way as Poe charges with an attempt at the HIEROGLYPH but Ravenna ducks under and then clocks Poe with the stop sign. It looks like Ravenna is getting comfortable stretching her honorable style to get dirty with The Five.
Back outside the ring, Moose is fighting back now and he sends a rushing Alexander Darling up and over the barricade into the first few rows here. As soon as Moose jumps over the barricade he rips the mask off Darling and he starts picking up chairs and slamming them into Alexander’s back. MHJ follows Darling throughout the arena tossing chairs left and right to get to Alex. He catches up and looks to hit the RANHEI on a stack of chairs, but Alex fights him off and they start trading punches before Moose slips on one of the chairs and Alexander pounces on the distracted Moose. He lifts Moose up…BRAINBUSTER on the chairs and that took something out of Alex as well, but he’s yelling towards his sister who nods and jumps the barricade with a few boxes of something or other. She hands one of the boxes to Alex who opens it and starts pulling out LIGHT TUBES. He places them on the ground in front of Moose before slamming one of them into his skull that sends blood pouring down MHJ’s face. Alexander follows up by placing a light tube in Moose’s mouth…he locks the legs…MOTHERFUCKING CURBSTOMP and Moose starts spitting blood as soon as it connects. Alexander looks towards the ring and starts heading that way.
Inside the ring only Stank and Gryfon are left as Poe and Ravenna are now fighting on the ramp way and it looks like Poe has the advantage as he sends Ms. Blue crashing into one of the announce tables. Inside the ring it looks like Gryfon has the advantage on Stank as he’s working him from corner to corner with various items out the garbage can of plunder, so Darling heads over towards Poe. But Poe is way too experienced and has too much knowledge of Darling and senses him coming before sending Blue crashing into the steel ring post and now Darling and Poe meet once again. They start trading punches and Poe’s strength helps him out here as he starts staggering Darling. AD comes back with a burst of energy, but it’s countered when Poe slams him back down with a MAIN EVENT SPINEBUSTER on the concrete floor. Poe starts clearing off the Moon Announce Table and he carries Alex up the steps. Alex is trying to fight Poe off since he knows what is coming and it looks like he’s about to, when all of a sudden Alex gets slammed in the head with a steel chair from a bloodied Moose. Without hesitation Poe follows it up with the CRUCIFIXION through the announce table.
We’re only a few minutes into this match and it’s already more brutal than anticipated as Moose is gushing blood and Poe and Alexander are lying in the wreckage of the announce tables. As MHJ stares down at the beaten body of Darling he gets a bloody, evil smirk across his face but that is quickly wiped off his face as his own baseball bat is slammed down across his back by longtime enemy CTG. Moose shakes it off and comes nose to nose with Gryfon and this is about to explode once again. MHJ shakes the blood out of his eyes and eats a left from Gryfon. He fires back with a right of his own and the slugfest is under way. Meanwhile Ravenna is firing away on Stank and takes him down with a drop kick to his knee. Stank is on one knee as Ravenna hits the ropes and takes Stank all the way to the mat with a SHINING WIZARD. RB makes the cover…

No, Ravenna gets pulled to the outside by Poe and rammed hard into the steel ring post. Blue is out on the outside and as she rolls over we see the blood start leaking out of her skull. Poe slowly slides into the ring just as CTG takes Moose out with a PSYCHO DRIVER III. As soon as Gryfon gets up though, he is caught with a nasty HIEROGLYPH from Poe. Luckily for CTG though, he rolls to the outside to avoid the pin, as Poe is standing tall in the center of the ring for the moment. He looks around for a moment trying to decide who to pin before choosing Ravenna and jumping back to the outside and sliding her in the ring. Blue tries to scramble out the other side but Stank is back to his feet and blocking her path. RB is in serious trouble as she’s stuck between the monsters of The Five; Poe and Stank. Stank starts slapping the back of Ravenna’s head almost toying with her as Poe walks up from behind and dead lifts Rav up and places her onto Stank’s shoulders but Blue starts firing away trying to get out of this. But with Poe standing there it’s almost futile except Poe goes flying into the ropes as Alexander Darling is back and hits a springboard leg lariat. Ravenna fights Stank enough and takes him down with a picture perfect hurricanrana. RB hooks the legs…

No, this time it’s MHJ with the save as he lifts Ravenna up and hits a DDT. He’s about to go for the pin when he looks up and sees AD staring him down once again. It looks like these two are about to go at it once again, but that is quickly squashed when CTG gets back in the ring and SPEARS Jack damn near out of the ring. Darling looks annoyed for a moment but it doesn’t last long as he’s spun around and slammed in the head with a wicked shot from Poe’s kendo stick and then again and again and again until he falls to the mat and now Alex is dripping blood all over the mat.
This match is brutal to an unseen degree recently here in the OOWF and no one is going to come out of it the same way. Poe is about to lift Alexander up but out of nowhere, Ravenna comes from behind…DIAMOND DUST and that could do it, but before Blue can even make a pin fall attempt, Stank is right and lifting Ravenna up…STANK-U on Blue and now it’s Stank’s turn to try and get a pin fall attempt stopped before he even gets to the mat as CTG comes up and takes Stank down with the CEMENT MIXER. Before CTG can make the cover it’s Moose’s turn as he runs Gryfon into the corner…CHAOS THEORY and all 6 combatants are down. And the crowd erupts as this has been a vicious encounter and everyone is giving their all. Moose and Alexander are the first back to their feet and both have evil sadistic grins on their blood-covered faces as they charge each other and just start punching away at one another. They fall to the mat and just start rolling around as Poe and Ravenna are slowly stirring as well.
Jack and Darling get back to their feet and Moose notices Poe getting up as well and he tries to send Alex flying into a HIEROGLYPH from Poe but Darling reverses it and sends Moose towards Poe. Luckily they realize this at the last moment and Poe is able to bring his boot down just as Moose slides past, but MHJ comes face to face with Ravenna who sends Moose up and over the top rope all the way to the floor where he winds up hitting right next to his barb wire bat. Inside the ring Poe charges at Alex once again, but again he can’t get there as Crete hits a dropkick that sends Poe crashing to the floor. Crete calls Ravenna over and they hit stereo planchas on Poe. And it looks like Darling is about to follow when he gets spun around and kicked in the stomach and lifted in the air. Stank is going for another STANK-U, but Alex is struggling and slides off Stank’s shoulders and lands behind him…LUNGBLOWER. Stank is staggered as Alex hits the ropes…YAKUZA KICK really has Stank reeling now. And Darling uses every last bit of energy he has, he lifts Stank up, places him across his shoulders, he puts Stank’s arm across his throat…DARLING DRIVER connects. Alexander makes the cover and hooks the leg…

3. And Alex gets the pin a split second before Moose gets back into the ring and slams that barbwire bat across Alexander’s skull. Alex falls like a ton of bricks and Moosehead Jack isn’t done as he gets down and just starts digging the barbwire into Alexander’s skull. He is not letting up as Stank rolls to the outside and gets to helping his partner fight Ravenna and Crete around the outside. Moose is not stopping inside the ring even as the bell continues to ring. The ref is calling for help, but no one in security has any intention of stopping a bloodthirsty Moose. Finally it looks like Moose has had enough as he tosses the bat aside and stands over the bloody, beaten body of Alexander Darling. He finally starts heading out of the ring allowing Alexis to get into the ring with medical personnel.
Moose steps between the ropes and looks over his shoulders seeing Alexis standing there and, he can’t be, he gets a really dark look as he heads back into the ring. Alexis doesn’t notice Moose coming up from behind as he grabs her by the hair. Alexis tries raking at Moose’s eyes but he slaps her hands away and nails her with a head butt that sends her staggering. Moose isn’t done as he grabs Alexis by the arm and locks it in place…HEARTPUNCH. Alexis falls to a knee as Moose looks around the ring and grabs a steel chair…someone needs to get out here and stop this. But no one is coming as Moosehead Jack places the chair next to Alexander and drags Alexis over…RANHEI on the chair. Moosehead Jack is despicable as he stands over the two bloodied Darlings. Alexander and his team may have won the battle tonight, but looking at the carnage in the ring, it’s clear that the war is clearly favoring Moosehead Jack and The Five.
Your winners (if you can call them that) in 17:44 Alexander Darling, Ravenna Blue, and Takaken Gryfon.
OOWF Invitational Semi-Finals[/u]
LD WILLIAMS vs. MATT FOLZThere's a lot of buzz about this match. LD Williams is one of the Five, and Matt Folz has a very checkered history with them. "Battle without Honor or Humanity" plays and Folz comes out to mixed reaction. He's barely in the ring when LD Williams comes out to "Jeckyl and Hyde." The two men lock up and we are underway.
Back and forthy, chain wrestling stuff. Folz gets LD to the corner, and puts the forearm to his nose, causing the referee to pull him off. LD comes out with a flurry of chops driving Folz to the center of the ring, following up with a quick suplex. LD goes for the pin, not because he thinks he'll get it, but to make a statement. Predictably, Folz gets a shoulder up, throwing LD off him. Both men stand and restart the chain wrestling. LD hits an arm drag, and then another and then a third, leaving Folz on the mat. He puts his foot into Folz's shoulder and drags back hard with an arm bar. He looks up the ramp and sees Firewoman clapping in approval. Ah, she loves the arm bars. LD seems not at all surprised to see her there, and merely smiles as she makes her way to be seated next to the announce table.
LD wrenches Folz's arm nearly out of the socket, as Folz punches the mat in frustration. LD loosens to get a better grip, and Folz sees his opportunity. He rolls in the direction of the hold, kips up and Christian-Bitch-Slaps LD across the face. LD takes a few steps back and tries to adjust his jaw, as Folz shakes out his arm. LD rushes him and Folz sidesteps him, dropping down with a toe hold. LD hits the mat, and now it's Folz's turn to try for a submission. He gets LD into the STF and locks it on. LD struggles, but it's no use. LD wriggles and reaches out for the ropes, and he's too far away...or is he? He makes one more stretch and grabs them. Folz breaks the hold and both men rest a bit.
They slowly get to their feet again, and meet in the center, and this time LD rushes him successful. He drives Folz back with forearms to the ropes, then slings him across the ring. Folz bounces back and LD nails him with lariat. Folz goes down to one knee, grabbing his neck. LD hits the ropes himself and bounces into Folz with a knee to the back of the head. Folz falls forward awkwardly, and LD hits the far ropes, coming in for a leg drop. He rolls Folz over for a two count, and this time he means it, but Folz kicks out at two. LD rolls back and then stands, helping Folz up with the hair (drawing a warning from the referee). He picks him up and holds him vertically for one, two, three, four, five seconds, and then a delayed vertical suplex. He makes another pin, and somehow Folz kicks out at 2 and 7/8ths. LD is angry, but not nearly as angry as Firewoman, who leaps out of her chair and onto the apron, arguing mightily with referee Mel Creech. Creech tells her to go sit down, and she jumps off the apron, but does not in fact sit down.
While distracted, LD has gotten Folz to his feet again and props him in the middle of the ring. He hits the ropes and then drives him back with a flying shoulder block. Folz staggers back to the ropes. LD rears back and charges, but Folz is with it enough to pick up on it and drop down, taking the top rope with him. LD sails out, landing near Firewoman. She goes to help him up, whispers something in his ear, and doesn't see Folz going up top and FLYING! He knocks them both down, and all three take their time getting up. Folz is up first, and throws LD back into the ring. LD gets to his feet, as Fire gets between Folz and the ring, before he throws her to the side. He rolls in under the ropes, but LD is kind of recovered and kicks him a few times. On the last time, Folz grabs LD's leg, and stands, putting LD in an ankle lock. LD rolls out of it, and kicks Folz backward...right into the ref! Looks like Folz's elbow caught Creech right on the temple, as he goes down like a sack of potatoes. Folz turns to check on Creech, and doesn't see Fire running up the stairs and going to the top rope. She flies off with a missile drop kick, that knocks him backward, right into LD. LD throws him to the ropes, and he flies out. LD gets him up and Fire grabs him around the neck, and they hit the Dudley Death Drop. LD rolls him over for the pin as Fire slides out of the ring and wakes Creech out of his storyline induced concussion. LD makes the pin, and it's one, two...NO! Folz gets the shoulder just up. LD and Fire both protest, and Creech, who isn't sure what happened while he was out, but is pretty sure shenanigans were involved, sends Firewoman to the back. She and LD both protest, but it's no use, and she walks (backward) up the ramp. LD turns to find Folz kind of recovered. Recovered enough to block a roundhouse punch, and counter with one of his own. They take turns throwing haymakers, and Folz lands one enough to knock LD back and turn him a bit. Folz hits the ropes and comes out with a bulldog. Now it's his turn to help LD up, and he kicks him in the gut not once, but twice! LD doubles over, and Folz hits the Fisherman's Suplex. LD is down and in pretty good position, so Folz heads up top and hits the Diving Head Butt o' Doom! Folz makes the pin, and it's one, two...THREE!
WINNER in 25:41 – Matt Folz
After the match, Fire has come down to check on LD again, chasing Folz out of the ring. The two glare at each other, as she helps LD up. Fire and LD shrug at each other, as LD says "It's all on you now."
FIREWOMAN vs. SPIN HANSENFirewoman steps onto the stage first, and smirks at the rabidly booing crowd. She makes her way to the ring, stopping several times to mock the fans. Fire rolls under the ropes and hops onto the turnbuckles to await her opponent. The crowd draws breath in anticipation – and explodes as Spin Hansen makes his way through the crowd to the ring. Fire meets him in the center of the ring, and a stare down ensues – Spin intense, and Fire smirking. Referee Junior Hale calls for the bell, and we're underway.
They circle, and Fire sidesteps just before the lock up and snaps off an arm drag. She tries a second one, but Spin blocks and clubs her to the mat. Spin sends Fire to the ropes and hits a power slam. He bounces to his feet and drops an elbow, but Fire rolls out of the way. She rolls to her feet and drives a kick into his skull, then kneels on his shoulders and starts slamming punches and elbows into his face. She ignores Junior’s count, so he drags her off. Spin sits up, nose pouring blood, and grins. Fire snarls and shoves past Junior, and nails Spin in the face with a dropkick. She covers and hooks the leg, but Spin kicks out at two.
Fire is up first. She springboards off the second rope, and Spin knocks her out of the air with a brutal clothesline. He picks Fire up by the throat and tosses her into the corner. Fire bounces off the turnbuckles, and Spin slams her in the face with a forearm that drives her back into the corner. Spin rams his shoulder repeatedly into Fire’s midsection, then lifts her onto the turnbuckles. He climbs up and Fire tries to fight back, but Spin slaps away the blows. He hits a suplex from the second rope, floats over, and hooks the leg. Fire kicks out at two.
Spin drags Fire to her feet and sends her to the ropes. She ducks a clothesline and comes back with a flying forearm that knocks Spin off-balance. She rolls to her feet and starts throwing kicks at Spin’s legs. He teeters, but stays on his feet. Fire tries an Irish whip, but Spin reverses and plants her with a spine buster. He covers, and Fire rolls a shoulder just in time. Spin pulls Fire up and nails a head butt, then lifts her for the Jaegerbomb. At the top of the move Fire starts swinging, pounding on Spin’s bloody nose with both fists. Spin topples back against the ropes, and Fire falls to the outside, managing to land on the apron. She waits for Spin to get up, springboards off the top rope – and Spin catches and KILLS her with the Jaegerbomb! That took a fair bit out of Spin as well, so he’s slow to cover, and again Fire manages to roll a shoulder before three.
Spin gets up and Junior moves in to check on Fire, who isn’t moving. Spin steps between them and grabs Fire – who drives a forearm into his crotch. Junior, of course, misses it completely. Spin doubles over, and Fire slams a palm strike into his nose. Fire springs off the second rope and plants Spin with a bulldog. She grabs his arms – Firestomp! She kicks Spin onto his back and covers, but Spin kicks out just before three. Fire slaps the mat in frustration and drags Spin to his feet. She sends him across the ring, and Spin negates whatever she had planned by launching himself off the ropes and spearing her to the mat.
Spin gets slowly to his feet and drags Fire up as well. He lifts her for another Jaegerbomb, but Fire grabs his head and pulls herself onto his shoulders. She spins on his shoulders and throws her weight forward into a victory roll. Junior is in position and counts One...Two...Three!
WINNER, in 14:37, Firewoman.
TEAM TEAM vs. TEXPRESS vs. OUTBACK JACK & DH MAGNUSSON – OOWF World Tag Team Title MatchDrink & Destroy are announced first and make their way through the crowd and into the ring. Texpress is out next and they get a huge ovation from the crowd. Madison and Myers step between the ropes and walk up to Drink & Destroy. They share a tense moment while the OOWF World Tag Team champions Team Team are announced. Just before Eco and Tytan get to the ring D & D and Texpress share a knuckle bump of mutual not overtly hostile feelings toward one another. Team Team steps into the ring and smirks, then heads to their corner.
The champs step out of the ring and appear to be content with the other teams starting things off. Zane Myers and DH Magnusson look to start things off for their teams. This match is one fall, first team to score a pin wins the match. The two big men circle and lock up and shove each other around the ring like a couple of bulls. They break and Myers challenges Magnusson to a test of strength. They lock up and Magnusson gets the upper hand at first, but Myers fights back and evens things up, then breaks one hand free and sweeps Magnusson’s legs sending him to the mat. Before DH can do anything, Myers drops an elbow across his chest and covers, but only gets a one count.
Myers kips up and tags in Madison. Madison springs to the top rope and Myers pulls DH to his feet. Chad leaps off the top rope and connects with a missile dropkick to the jaw and covers, but DH kicks out at two. Madison grabs DH’s arm and locks in an arm bar, but it doesn’t take long for DH to work to his feet and back Madison into a neutral corner. Magnusson sends Madison to the ropes, and Tytan tags himself in with a clubbing clothesline to the back of Madison’s head. Madison falls to the mat and Tytan steps into the ring where DH is bent over waiting for Madison to rebound. Tytan catches him with a kick to the jaw that stands him up, then grabs him and PLANTS him on the mat with a belly to belly suplex and covers for a two count that is broken up by Jack.
Tytan tries to pull Magnusson to his feet, but DH hits a jawbreaker that sends Tytan to the mat. DH drags Tytan to the corner and tags in OBJ. Jack charges into the ring, bounds off the ropes and plants a high knee drop across Tytan’s chest. He covers, but Tytan powers out at two. Jack pulls Tytan to his feet and rocks him with several European uppercuts, then hits the ropes and catches Tytan with a bulldog driving him back to the mat. Jack goes for the cover, but Eco runs in and breaks it up, which brings in everyone else and we have a pier six brawl!
All six men fight in the ring, with no one getting the upper hand. As if we are building to some sort of pay per view four way elimination match, Poe and Stank hit the ring and join the fracas! There is no way the referee can control this. Eco and Tytan decide to powder out and grab their titles and head up the ramp while the remaining six fight one another. The referee gives up and calls for the bell.
WINNERS – No Contest in 15:16
DAVIN MORELAND vs. CHRIS EVANS vs. SEAMUS MCNASTY – OOWF Intercontinental Title MatchThe challengers come to the ring and wait for the champ. Davin Moreland is announced and makes his way to the ring with Samantha Darling-Moreland at his side. He hands her the title and steps between the ropes, and with that, we are ready to go. Evans goes on the attack first and tries to get a kick in on Davin, but Moreland catches his foot. Davin tries to pull him in for a clothesline, but Evans ducks it, stops on a dime, turns and hits a leaping enzuguri that drops Davin to his knees. Evans is right back up and catches a charging Seamus with a spin kick to gut, then bounds off the ropes and leaps up for a head scissors. Seamus catches him and staggers to the ropes, and Seamus takes him over the top rope. Evans lands on the apron, but Seamus just clips the apron and lands HARD on his shoulder and arm and immediately starts writhing in pain.
Evan doesn’t notice and waits for Davin to get to his feet in the ring. Evans springs to the top rope and leaps, but Davin catches him and turns it into a SPINEBUSTER! Davin covers, but Evans kicks out at two. We cut back outside the ring, where officials have collected around Seamus and we see his left arm hanging limply at his side, while he is grabbing his left wrist, which is already swollen to twice its normal size. They start to lead Seamus to the back and he kicks the Swedish Announce Table as he passes by.
Back in the ring, Davin has Evans on his feet and grabs him by the throat and lifts him for a choke slam, but Evans reverses it into a HIGH IMPACT MOVE which sends Davin to the mat. Evans covers, but Davin kicks out before the three count. Evans needs to keep Davin on the mat to neutralize his size advantage, so he grabs Davin’s leg and drops several elbows across the inside of his knee, then traps him in an Indian Death Lock trying for the submission. Davin refuses to give up and inches his way to the ropes. Once he grabs the bottom rope, the referee forces the break and Davin slides out of the ring to the floor where he limps gingerly on the leg Evans was working on. Davin is so distracted with working the kinks out of his knee that he never sees Evans leap over the top rope. Evans slams into Darling and sends him ribs first into the guard rail. Davin falls to the floor, but Evans pulls him up and rolls him under the bottom rope and crawls in after him and covers, but Davin rolls his shoulder JUST before the referee hits the mat for the third time.
Undaunted, Evans pulls Davin up and sends him into the corner and charges in after him, but Davin gets a boot up, catching Evans on the jaw. He staggers backward, and Davin explodes out of the corner and nearly decapitates Evans with a clothesline. Davin falls to his knees and grabs his ribs and winces in pain as Evans lies dead next to him. Davin rolls him over and covers, but somehow he comes back to life just before the three count and kicks out.
Davin gets to his feet and pulls Evans up and shoves him into the corner and follows him in with a forearm to the side of the head, then does the Matt Morgan reverse elbows to the head until Evans falls to the mat. Davin is not done though, he pulls Evans back to his feet and sets him on the top rope and climbs up after him. Davin hooks Evans and lifts him for a superplex, and holds him up on the ropes for a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time before he falls backward into the ring. Davin floats over and grabs the leg, but Evans manages to kick out once again.
Davin gets to his feet and looks down at Evans, who is trying to collect himself, and drops a leg across his chest and covers again, but once again Evans shows his resiliency and kicks out. Davin pulls him to his feet and sends him to the ropes, catches him on the rebound and hot shots him on the top rope. Evans falls back to the middle of the ring and Davin grabs his legs and turns Evans over into a Lion Tamer, planting his knee on the back of Evans head. Davin tries to snap Evans in half, but he won’t give up.
Evans fights it, and eventually Davin loosens it to just a Boston Crab. Evans finally manages to twist under Davin and roll him up for a one count, but Davin kicks out and gets to his feet, catches Evans by the throat and CHOKESLAMS him to hell! Davin covers, but somehow, once again, Evans kicks out before the three count. Davin shows a bit of uncharacteristic frustration and barks at the referee. He lands a couple of punches for Evans head, which draws a warning from the ref, and more arguing from Davin.
Both men get to their feet and Davin ducks a punch from Evans and sends him to the ropes and traps him in a bear hug on the rebound. Evans howls in pain and tries to break the hold, but Davin just squeezes tighter. Evans begins to fade and Davin leans over so Evans shoulders are on the mat. He gets several two counts, but each time Evans manages to get his shoulder off the mat. Davin stands back up, readjusts his grip and throws Evans across the ring with an overhead belly to belly suplex. Evans lands on his feet though, and hits the ropes and tries a cross body on the rebound, but Davin catches him and power slams him to the mat, hooks his leg hard, but once again, Evans manages to kick out! How does he keep doing this?
Davin grabs Evans legs for a figure four, but when he leans in, Evans rolls him up in a small package for a two count. Davin springs to his feet and tries a clothesline, but Evans ducks and rolls him up from behind for another two count. Evans has his second wind now, and the crowd roars for the hometown kid. Evans springs off the middle rope and PLANTS Davin with the CYCLONE OF CHAOS! Evans is feeling it and runs to the corner again and springs to the top rope and lands the SPARTAN SPIRAL! Evans covers, hooking the leg hard, one, two, thre……NO! Moreland shoots his shoulder off the mat JUST before the three count!
Evans grabs Moreland and catches him with an enzuguri sending him right back to the mat, then grabs his arm and locks in the THIS ONE’S GONNA HURT and works that for a minute. Moreland is about to grab the bottom rope when Evans releases it and pulls him to the middle of the ring and traps him in the ODE TO CANADA! Moreland is in trouble here! The referee checks on Davin and asks him if he wants to quit, but Davin refuses and slowly drags himself to the bottom rope and forces the break. Evans releases the hold and waits for Davin to get up, runs the ropes and takes Davin over the top to the floor with a cross body block. Both men hit the floor hard and remain down while the referee starts his count.
At five, they are both up and Evans tries a punch to the head, but Moreland blocks it and rocks Evans with a head butt to the face. Evans staggers backward a few steps, but regains his composure and charges at Davin and leaps trying for a hurracarana, but Davin catches him and throws him over his shoulders. Evans lands on the apron as the referee hits nine, then slips between the ropes just as the referee says ten! Evans wins!
WINNER by count out in 26:19 – Chris Evans
Moreland looks shocked for a moment, and maybe a little irritated that Evans took that kind of win. He grabs his title and is about to head to the back when the crowd starts chanting his name. Davin looks around then steps into the ring where Evans is still standing. He looks at Evans for a moment, and Evans gets ready for a fight. After a few tense moments the champ offers his fist, Evans hesitates for a moment, then they share a knuckle bump of something like respect even though they probably really don’t like one another at all. The crowd gives both men a standing ovation as we fade to black.
