OOWF MidWeek Mayhem
Live! From Freehold, New Jersey
<we cut to GM the Rick’s office where Firewoman, Moosehead Jack, Concrete TG and Alexander Darling are all assembled.>
GMtR: Ok I am going to make this short and sweet since we have a show to do. That tag match? It is now a singles match, Firewoman versus Concrete TG
FW: WHAT?
GMtR: Just got word, Darling and Moose are not medically cleared, they aren’t wrestling tonight
AD: I’ll waive it
GMtR: No. You had your head set on fire Sunday night, and you <pointing to Moose> probably have a broken neck. Neither of you are getting into that ring. End of story.
MHJ: You really think you can stop us?
GMtR: Let me make this real simple. If either of you step foot in a sanctioned OOWF match tonight, you are suspended. Period, end of story. And it will be a minimum of thirty days, so you <looking at Alex> can kiss that title goodbye. We clear here? Good. Now Fire and Crete get to the ring, you have a match, NOW!
FIREWOMAN vs. CONCRETE TGConcrete TG is announced first and makes his way to the ring to the roar of the crowd. He slides under the bottom rope and then springs to the middle rope and gets a huge ovation from the crowd. As the cheers begin to die down, Five member Firewoman is announced. The runner up in the 2010 OOWF Invitational is announced and the cheers quickly turn to boos. Fire looks annoyed a little more than usual here tonight. She makes her way to the ring and climbs onto the apron and stares Crete back a few steps then steps between the ropes. Fire doesn’t wait for the bell, instead she attacks Crete from behind and dumps him over the top rope to the floor. Fire produces a mic and SPEAKS:
Folz……..you really think this is over? You really think you getting a fluke win finishes anything? Everyone knows that that OOWF World Heavyweight title is mine. My pigheaded brother damn near got the job done in ending Darling’s career, but he didn’t quite do it, and for just one reason and one reason only: You have something that belongs to me, and when I take it, it will be in the middle of the ring, one, two, three. Matt Folz, I will only say this once. Stay out of my way.Fire drops the mic and turns around and Crete is back in the ring and catches her with a drop kick to the mouth that sends her back into the corner and onto the mat. Crete grab Fire by the ankle and pulls her out of the corner, then rolls her to her feet and tries a spinning heel kick, but Fire ducks it. Crete bounds off the ropes, and Fire catches her with a knee to the gut, then runs her face along the top rope. Fire snaps Crete into the ring and Crete falls back to the mat. Crete rolls to her feet and Fire charges in and levels her with a clothesline. Fire drops a leg across Crete’s chest, then traps her in a triangle choke, trying for the submission, but Crete manages to get his foot on the bottom rope. Fire keeps the hold locked on until the referee threatens disqualification. She finally relents and releases the hold. Fire slides out of the ring and pulls Crete out to the floor and throws her into the guard rail.
Fire glares at Crete for a moment, then kicks him in the face, then rolls him back into the ring. Fire springs to the top rope, then drops an elbow across Crete’s chest and covers for a two count. Fire pulls Crete to his feet and sends him to the ropes, but Fire lowers her head a moment too soon and Fire leapfrogs and puts on the breaks, and nails Fire with a bridging German suplex for a one count. Fire kicks out and spins to her feet, but Crete takes her over with a deep arm drag. Fire is right back up, and Crete shoves her into the corner, then charges in and catches her with a high knee to the jaw. Fire staggers out of the corner and hits the mat, Crete springs off the middle rope and tries a moonsault, but Fire gets her knees up in time and Crete crashes and burns.
Fire pulls Crete to her feet and sends her to the ropes and POPS her with a super kick to the jaw, then pulls her up again and DRIVES her to the mat with a hangman’s neck breaker, runs to the corner and hits the BEST FIRESAULT EVER! But Fire is not done yet. She grabs Crete’s arms and flips her over and hits a FIRESTOMP into a CATTLE MUTILATION! Crete tries to escape, but there’s no escape and finally Crete has to tap.
WINNER in 10:09 – Firewoman
Firewoman doesn’t say a word to Crete or the referee, she just leaves the ring and heads to the back. As she gets to the top of the ramp, Moose comes out and gives her a sarcastic round of applause. Fire stops and glares at Moose for a second, then pushes past him and goes to the back.
CHRIS EVANS vs. MATT FOLZFolz comes out to a kind of lukewarm reception, which is all you can expect from someone who is a face or a heel depending upon who's paying. A few cheers for winning a shot against the World Champion, but some boos due to the World Champion's current popularity. Evans enters the ring to unequivocal cheers, and the two face off in the center. The bell sounds and we're underway.
Both men do the standard opening lock up, back and forthy thing that has become standard operating procedure in wrestling. Folz is clearly stoked after his victory at End of Days and has a bit more energy. He turns this into a series of arm drags for Evans, letting go on the third to send Evans flying across the ring. Evans is up quickly and makes the charge, which Folz sidesteps. Each man hits the ropes and collides in the center at a 90-degree angle, with Folz just barely getting the better of Evans. Evans hits a knee and slowly gets up into an elbow drop to the trapezoid, driving him back down. Folz gets Evans into a neck-stretcher, and pulls back hard. Evans grimaces in pain, even though he probably pays his chiropractor handsomely for doing the same thing. Evans rallies the crowd behind him, who oblige by starting a slow *clap-clap-clap* giving him energy to get to his knees, then one knees, then slooooooly to both feet. Even though Evans is shorter, once he's standing Folz has difficulty keeping pressure on, and so Evans slips free. Folz tries again, but Evans turns and drives him back with two forearms. Evans hits the ropes and flies with a cross body, which gets a technical one-count. Folz flips out easily and two square off again. The fans applaud appreciatively.
Folz and Evans toy with each other a bit, circling, and finally Evans is able to dodge a hold and come up behind Folz. Looks like he's trying to set up the Canadian Backbreaker. He gets Folz up to the shoulder, but before he can hit it, Folz wriggles free and slides down Evans' back. Evans turns into a huge chop from Folz, who drives him back to the ropes. Evans bounces out and Folz hits a quick German suplex, and floats over for the pin. One...two...Evans gets a shoulder up, but he's really groggy. Folz backs up to plan his next attack as Evans rolls away. Folz stands, hits the ropes, and then comes out with a leg drop. He makes another cover, but Evans kicks out. Folz backs off to regroup again, allowing Evans to get to his feet. Folz flies off the rope, but Evans ducks a clothesline. Folz hits the opposing rope and flies back into what Evans thinks is a big boot, but Folz has it scouted and catches him. No matter for Evans who turns it into an enziguiri, or so he thinks! Folz catches the other leg as well, and has Evans in a wheelbarrow. But Evans is prepared for this as well, and falls forward, pushing himself up, way up, in good luchador style, and hits a stunner! Folz falls over dead, and Evans makes the pin, one...two...NO! Folz is not quite dead yet, and just gets a shoulder up. Evans stands and looks around checking ring position and goes to the corner. he's going to go up top for the Spartan Spiral. The crowd goes wild and Evans stands for a moment soaking it in before flying. But he wasted too much time! Folz recovered, and rolled out of the way just in time, leaving Evans to eat canvas. Folz rolls back over for the pin, one...two...no! Evans kicks out and the two men lay on their backs staring at the lights. The referee begins the 10-count....Both men start to roll back to life, and it's a question of who stands first. The crowd is on their feet. Folz is up ahead of Evans, and grabs him for a T-Bone Suplex. He covers again, one...two...no! Evans kicks out and again both men struggle to stand. This time Evans gets the first move in and gets Folz up into a fireman's carry for the Lethal Vortex. He goes to hit the sidewalk slam, but Folz shifts and counters, taking Evans down with a DDT. Folz hooks the leg and it looks like this one is finally over! One...two...THREE!
WINNER in 17:41 – Matt Folz
TEXPRESS vs. OUTBACK JACK & DH MAGNUSSON - #1 Contenders MatchDrink and Destroy members Outback Jack and D.H. Magnusson make their way through the crowd to a rousing ovation. They hop the railing and climb into the ring. Texpress, Chad Madison and Zane Myers, receive a very positive reaction as well. They climb into the ring and stand toe-to-toe with their opponents. Handshakes all 'round, and Myers and Magnusson head to their corners as referee Angelo Barros calls for the bell.
Madison and Jack circle and lock up, and Madison grabs a headlock. Jack shoots him off. Madison ducks a clothesline and comes back with a dropkick. He backs Jack to the ropes and tries an Irish whip, but Jack reverses and pulls him back into a belly-to-belly suplex. Madison over-rotates and lands on his feet, and snaps off a super kick as Jack turns around. He sends Jack into the corner and makes the tag,
Madison and Myers each grab an arm, pull Jack out of the corner, and drive him back in. They twist both arms into hammerlocks and sweep his legs, driving Jack face-first into the mat. Myers hits the ropes and drops a knee on the back of Jack's head. He rolls him over and covers, but Jack kicks out at two. Myers pulls Jack up and takes a fist to the midsection. Jack gets up swinging, but Myers ducks and hits an atomic drop. Jack staggers, and Myers comes off the ropes with a forearm to the kidneys, then drops him with an inverted DDT. Myers covers, and again Jack kicks out at two.
Myers reaches out to tag his partner and drags Jack to his feet. Madison climbs the turnbuckles and Myers lifts Jack up, but Magnusson is in with a chop block to prevent the Dropkick Device. Barros chases Magnusson out, and Myers rolls out to the floor. Madison measures Jack and leaps – and lands face-first on his upraised boot.
Jack uses the ropes to pull himself up. He kicks Madison in the gut and sends him to the ropes. Madison slides under a big boot and comes back with a cross body, but Jack turns it into a power slam and rolls to his corner for the tag, Jack and DHM send Madison to the ropes and hit a flapjack. Magnusson covers, but Myers is in to break it up. Jack turns around and steamrolls Myers with a clothesline. He and DH send Myers to the ropes, double him over with fists to the midsection, and hit a tandem suplex. Magnusson sees Madison get up and levels him with a running elbow. He stomps away, and then drags Madison to his feet and plants him with a belly to belly suplex. Madison lands in the ropes, so DHM pulls him up and sends him into the corner. He staggers him with a chop, then drives an elbow into his throat. He snap mares Madison out of the corner, plants his knee in his back and pulls his arms back in a surfboard. Myers leaves of brawling with Jack and sprints across the ring, breaking it up with a boot to the head. Jack is just a step behind and slams into Myers, taking both men through the ropes to the floor.
Madison is up first and stuns DHM with a kick to the temple. He goes to the ropes and levels him with a leg lariat, and then rolls to his feet and hits a lionsault. He hooks the leg, but only gets a two count. Madison sends DHM to the ropes and hops up for a hurricanrana, but DHM reverses into a spinning power bomb. He covers, but only gets two. DHM pulls Madison to his feet and hits the Thunder crack, but grabs him before he falls and slings him into the corner. He follows him in with a clothesline and tags OBJ.
DHM pulls Madison out of the corner and sets up the Jersey Hammer, but Madison ducks it and trips him up, sending him toppling into Jack. Madison dives to his corner and makes the tag. DHM sprints across the ring and Myers greets him with a backdrop. Myers ducks a clothesline from Jack, kicks him in the gut, and spikes him with a DDT. DHM is back up and grabs Myers from behind. Madison springboards back in and nails Magnusson with an elbow, and when he lets go Myers spins around and drops him with an STO. Texpress send DHM to the ropes and nail a double dropkick that topples him into the ropes, then send him to the floor with a tandem clothesline. Madison heads to their corner, and Myers lifts Jack up – Dropkick Device! Myers makes the cover, and DHM dives back into the ring, but Madison cuts him off with a baseball slide dropkick as Barros counts One...Two…Three.
WINNERS, and Number One Contenders to the OOWF World Tag Team Championships, in a time of 15:46, Texpress.
After the wrestlers leave the ring, the lights go out and we get a video tribute to LD Williams. After the video, which gets a round of applause from the crowd, the lights come back on and we see that a red carpet has been rolled to the ring, and the ring itself has been decorated with a dark carpet and podium. Without introduction or music, Moosehead Jack walks to the ring, believe it or not, wearing a tuxedo, top hat and tails, the whole nine yards. Moose steps to the podium, and the crowd boos. Moose steps back for a moment, listening to the boos of the crowd, then speaks.
I understand you don’t like me <more boos> but tonight, this moment, is not about me. This moment is about LD Williams <cheers>. Tonight, I would like to welcome LD Williams into the Grand Slam Club. But to do that, I need one more person. Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, the second ever member of the Grand Slam Club, “The Main Event” Chris Cole.<the crowd goes nuts as Chris Cole makes his way to the ring holding a large trophy. He steps between the ropes and he and Moose shake hands. Cole sets the trophy down and steps to the mic.>
CC: LD Williams, come on out here to the ring.<LD’s music plays, and he comes to the ring. He shakes Cole’s hand and he and Moose exchange a manly hug
CC: I became just the second member of the Grand Slam Club, and it was an honor that rivaled anything that I have ever done in my life. I knew that it meant that I was one of the true elite, not just in the OOWF, but in the entire history of wrestling. The OOWF is, without a doubt, the toughest fed in all of wrestling, hands down. <huge pop> Night after night we go out and do everything we can not to earn our paychecks, but to earn your respect. While a lot of people in our position may let it go to their heads, we don’t let each other get like that. We are grounded in the back, knowing that YOU are the ones who come to see US. And there is no one who better exemplifies that than LD Williams. This man comes to work every day, does what is asked of him, and does not complain about anything. Ladies and Gentlemen, a hand for LD Williams<The crowd roars, and Cole and Williams share a manly hug of mutual respect. Moose steps to the podium>
MHJ: I know this is killing you LD, so I’ll keep it short. When the OOWF opened its doors over five years ago, LD Williams was one of the first to sign up. Very early on in our OOWF careers, we crossed paths. After just one match, I knew he was not your run of the mill wrestler. It’s easy to take credit for recognizing greatness, and I am not going to do that. LD is great because he works endlessly at what he does to be great. Ladies and Gentlemen…….LD Williams<Cole and Moose hand LD the trophy and LD holds it high for everyone to see. He steps to the podium and is typically brief>
LD: All this is nice, but it’s really more than I need. I come here to do one thing, win. With winning comes titles. It’s the way it goes. I would like to thank everyone in the back for all their hard work and dedication. Thank you all<LD holds up the trophy and Moose and Cole congratulate him again. LD heads to the back with the Grand Slam trophy while they clean up the ring and the red carpet and get things back to normal for the match.>
LD WILLIAMS vs. RAVENNA BLUE – OOWF Onslaught Championship MatchIts title time here in Freehold, New Jersey and the Onslaught Title will be decided between the current champion, LD Williams and the previous champion, Ravenna Blue. Williams won the belt at our last PPV and became the third Grand Slam Champion in OOWF history. The challenger is on her way out first to “Snow White Queen” by Evanescence and she gets a massive cheer from the crowd here in Jersey. She acknowledges the fans as she makes her way down and into the ring. She tests out the ropes as “Jekyll & Hyde” by Petra kicks in. Williams steps out from the back and he gets a big round of applause in recognition for his accomplishment. It quickly changes over to boos once they see the Team Canada hockey jersey he’s wearing. He seems to enjoy it as he points at the big maple leaf on his chest and the belt around his waist. He gets into the ring and referee, Mel Creech, calls them to the center of the ring and does the obligatory Onslaught Title rule breakdown.
The bell rings and we are underway as the two lock up in the center of the ring. They fight over control and it’s Ravenna in control as she pushes Williams back into the corner. Creech calls for a clean break and he gets one here in the early going from RB. Back to the center of the ring and they lock up once again, but this time its Williams who pushes Blue back to the corner. Creech calls for another clean break and it looks like he’s going to get one, but LD wasn’t being sincere as he throws a knife hand chop. But Blue is too quick and ducks under and changes positions with LDW. And now it’s Blue firing away with backhand chops. The crowd is “WOO”ing with each one and Williams’ chest is showing the effects. Ravenna takes LDW out of the corner with a snap mare and he fires a hard kick to the back. RB stays on the attack as she hits the ropes and drops a knee right across Williams throat. Blue rolls through and he grabs hold of Matt’s arm…it’s a Fujiwara Arm bar.
Williams is fighting it and he rolls through to get Blue shoulders on the mat, but Blue rolls up at two and she isn’t letting go of the hold. Williams is struggling, but he has enough power and he lifts RB all the way into the air, but now it’s Blue turn to show her unique move set as she takes Williams down with a YOSHI TONIC. She has the legs hooked and she makes a pin fall attempt…

Thr…No, Williams gets his hand on the bottom rope.
LD Williams has used rope break #1. He has two remaining.Blue seems to be like a shark in water as she senses weakness and she’s stalking Williams. But LD knows his way around the ring and he grabs Ravenna by the trunks and sends her crashing through the ropes all the way to the floor. Williams tells Creech to start counting as Blue hit the guardrail hard on that exit from the ring. Creech gets to 7 before Blue is grabbing onto the ring apron. Williams doesn’t let her back in the ring as he executes a baseball slide sending Blue back into the guardrail. This time LDW isn’t content to leave her alone on the outside and he follows her out. He picks Blue up and SNAKE EYES her right on the guardrail. Creech is yelling from inside the ring to get back in, but it doesn’t seem to matter to Williams who lifts Blue up and looks to hit another move on the guardrail, but Blue slithers off his back and he hits a LUNGBLOWER on the floor. Both competitors are down for the moment as Creech continues his count. He’s at 8 when Blue is back to her feet and she attempts to toss LD back in the ring, but LD hits the bottom rope and bounces off…REBOUND LARIAT and Blue goes spinning inside out. She hits her back hard and Williams rolls her back in the ring and goes right for the cover…

No…this time it’s Blue who has the ring awareness to get her leg over the bottom rope.
Ravenna Blue has used rope break #1. She has two remaining. Now it’s Williams on the attack as he lifts Blue up in a vertical suplex position and he rotates her into a SITOUT POWERBOMB. It’s another cover and another two-count as Blue is able to kick out. It doesn’t stop Williams’ attack as he starts working over the leg and ankle of “The Ice Queen.” He goes to work specifically on the leg with a ROLLING HALF CRAB ala Canadian hero Lance Storm. And he’s got it locked on in the center of the ring. Blue could be in serious trouble here if she doesn’t figure something out. She tries rolling through, but Williams is holding tight. Inch-by-inch now Blue is dragging Williams towards the ropes and it looks like she’s close but Williams leans back even more and it looks like Blue is about to tap. But noooooo, Blue gets one last burst of energy and grabs the bottom rope.
Ravenna Blue has used rope break #2. She has one remaining.LD Williams looks annoyed, but he looks to keep the momentum going as he grabs Blue around the waist and he looks to be going for a WHEELBARROW SUPLEX, but Blue somehow flips through and lands on her feet. She turns and hits the ropes…LARIATOOOO. And both wrestlers are down as Blue takes a few minutes to recover from the last few minutes where her leg, especially the ankle took a beating. She gets to her feet first and he drags LDW with her before sending LD crashing into the corner. She follows him in with a back handspring Muta elbow. Williams falls out of the corner and as he’s getting back to his feet RB hits the ropes and nails LD with A SHINING ENZURGURI. She makes a cover…

Th…No, Williams is able to barely kick out. Blue feels like the end is near and she hits the ropes…DOUBLE JUMP MOONSAULT, but it misses, Williams was able to barely roll out of the way and Blue’ back is exposed…REAR NAKED CHOKE. And he’s got it locked in. Blue is fighting and holding on, but there seems to be nothing she can do right now. Blue is trying and trying to get back to her feet and she’s barely able to roll herself to her feet. As soon as she is up Williams catches her from behind with a vicious chop block and RB crashes to the mat. Williams is a rabid dog as he drags Blue to the center of the ring and grabs the neck…CROSSFACE locked in. Blue is in trouble once again. LDW is wrenching back and Blue is looking for a way out. And she gets it as Williams wrenches back once again, Blue rolls with it and flips them both over and Ravenna gets into the ropes.
Ravenna Blue has used rope break #3. She has zero remaining,Williams lets go of the hold for a moment and looks to go for it again using the ropes as extra leverage but Blue rolls all the way to the floor. Williams follows her to the floor, but Blue jumps back onto the apron and he leaps off the second rope, SPRINGBOARD TORNADO DDT connects on the floor. Williams may be out of it and Blue feeling this is her chance slowly drags LD back into the ring. She makes a cover…

THR…NOOOOOOOOO, Williams’ leg is under the bottom rope.
LD Williams has used rope break #2. He has one remaining.Blue shakes her head in frustration, but she goes back on the attack and that’s how the match goes for the next few minutes. Blue continues to go through her wide arsenal of high-flying moves, but Williams is able to fight through and barely kicks out anytime Blue goes for a cover. And “The Ice Queen” is getting more and more frustrated. She drags Williams to his feet once again and kicks him in the stomach…ANGEL’S WINGS connects, but Williams rolls a few feet away so it takes Blue a second to get there…

THRE…….NOOOOOOOOOOOO, once again Williams gets his leg on the ropes.
LD Williams has used rope break #3. He has zero remaining.Blue hangs her head in disappointment as she thought that was it. She slams the mat as she drags Williams back to his feet once again. And another kick in the stomach and this time she’s setting him up for the DIAMOND DUST, but LDW slips out of it and he nails another chop-block to the back of Blue’ knee. Williams rolls to the corner and takes a few moments to try and get his bearings. He uses the ropes to drag himself to his feet and he picks Blue up. He spins behind Blue and locks in a full nelson that leads right to a vicious DRAGON SUPLEX. Williams’ bridges and Creech makes the count…

TH…Blue barely rolls her shoulder. Now it’s Williams’ turn to be frustrated. He hits a body slam on Blue and climbs to the top rope and he hits the DIVING HEADBUTT. Williams goes to lock in the STF once again, but Blue rolls through and he steps through… SHARPSHOOTER…but being the Canadian he is, Williams knows the escape and he quickly gets back to his feet and has Blue locked up. And before she even knows what hits her…CANADIAN DESTROYER. Williams makes the academic cover…

He stands toe-to-toe with Spin and holds up the belt before handing it to referee Davis Hightower, who calls for the bell.
They lock up and Spin grabs a hammerlock. Davin reverses and bars the arm. Spin tries to elbow free, but Davin winds the arm and rolls him to the mat. He pins the arm down and drives a knee into Spin's shoulder. He drags Spin to his feet, winds the arm, and sends him into the corner shoulder first.
