FIREWOMAN vs. ALEXANDER DARLING – OOWF World Heavyweight Title 60 Minute Iron Man Match
It’s time for the main event of Bloodbath in Paradise 3 here in Cozumel, Mexico. All of the statements have been made; the contracts have been signed; and tonight is the final battle for one of the longest relationships in the OOWF. Former heavyweight champion Alexander Darling is making one bid to reclaim the title he lost a month ago. The current champion, Firewoman hopes to put the last nail in the coffin of this story. Win or lose, both wrestlers have agreed to let tonight be the deciding moment. There will be no further rematches and no matter the outcome, they will go their separate ways after tonight. We’ve seen the history, no one knows what the future holds, but we can get to the present so let’s do it. Godsmack’s “I Stand Alone” plays first and the newly unmasked Alexander Darling steps out from the back in black tights with gold trim and a blazing phoenix tattoo covering his chest. He gets a big ovation from the crowd here in Mexico but he ignores it for the most part and he looks extremely focused. He knows he has to last an hour and he’s slowly making his way down to the ring. Alex slides under the bottom rope and gets to the far corner before taking a seat on the top turnbuckle and staring down the aisle. He continues to stare as “Flame On” by Tony Iommi begins to play. Through the big wall of fire steps the current OOWF World Heavyweight Champion, Firewoman. Once again Fire gets mostly boos with a few pockets of cheers but she looks as focused as Alex in her flame-based corset and leather pants. She makes her way down the aisle and walks up the steps into the ring. Senior referee Davis Hightower calls the challenger and the champion to the center of the ring and goes over the rules once again. He explains that there will be pin falls, submissions, dq’s and count outs will all count towards the final total and whoever has the most falls after one hour will be declared the winner. If the match is tied after one full hour, we will move into sudden death and the next fall wins. He sends both wrestlers back to their corners, but neither move at first and at the same time, both extend their right hand. As they shake, it looks like once again they pull the same move as they pull each other in close and seem to be speaking silently to one another. One final nod from both and they let go of each other’s hands and back to their corner. Hightower shows the belt to all 4 sections of the audience before handing it off to the ringside attendant and then he calls for the bell.
It looks like both Fire and Alex are going to start cautious with this match and they slowly start circling each other before meeting in the center of the ring with a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Alex quickly gains the advantage and puts Fire in a side headlock. Fire taps the shoulder twice and reverses it into a hammerlock. She looks to go for a sweep, but Alex widens his stance and keeps a solid base so Fire changes tactic and starts stepping on the back of Alexander’s knee and gets him down onto the mat and floats over into a front face lock. She looks to flip her body into the LAST CHANCERY but Alexander is having none of that and twists off to the side and quickly gets back to his feet while Fire is trying to regain her balance. Alex goes for a punt to Fire’s injured ribs, but FW saw that one coming and gets out of the way and sweeps Darling’s legs and quickly gets on top, but before Hightower can even make a count, Alex has already slid his shoulder out and scrambles back to the ropes and pulls himself up as Fire does the same on the opposite side of the ring. Just as the fans were about to do the typical indy applause, Fire and Alex meet back in the center of the ring and start exchanging hard knife hand chops and open face palm strikes to the chest. And this leads right into Fire blocking one Alexander’s strikes and slipping around behind Alex to take him down with a victory roll for 2. AD quickly flips Fire around and gets her pinned down with a variation of the sunset flip and that gets two. Both look to get up, but Fire is quicker…inside cradle gets 2. Alex rolls over once again…BACKSLIDE and that gets 2.5.
And once again both get to their feet and stand on opposite sides of the ring looking ready to fight but this time the indy wanker applause slows them down and they take it in before once again meeting in the center of the ring and going for another lock-up, but when Fire tries to slide behind Alex with a waist lock, he cuts her off and plants a knee right into Fire’s still badly injured ribs. Alex looks like he didn’t want to do that, but he shakes his head knowing there’s nothing illegal or unclean about exploiting an opponent’s weakness. He lifts Fire off the mat and quickly takes her up and over with a snap suplex, but doesn’t let go. He swings the hips around and gets back to a vertical base and lifts Fire up once again but this time he brings her back down…SLINGSHOT SUPLEX and it looks like Alex isn’t done as he holds on once again. He rotates the hips and gets back up again and this time he lifts Firewoman up in the air and just holds her there for a good 30 seconds for the visually and physically impressive DELAYED SUPLEX. Interesting combo Darling busted out right there and he looks to gain a lead in the match as he floats over and makes a cover…

No, Fire kicks out. Alex isn’t going to let that frustrate him this early in the match and he follows up by starting a slow and methodical approach to take out Fire’s legs by working on the knees and ankle. He lifts Fire up and takes her down with a midcard-level spine buster and he holds the legs and he rolls Fire over. He’s using Fire’s own fiancée’s WALLS OF JERICHO to make her tap, but that seems like a mistake as Fire has been in this position a lot and she quickly tucks her head and rolls back and gets Alex down on the mat where she gets a 2-count before Alex gets up. He stops Fire before she gets up with an elbow drop. He gets up and goes for a second but Fire gets out of the way and scrambles to her feet and she catches AD coming up and takes him down with a deep arm drag, and then a second, and finally a third where she holds on and starts wrenching the arm.
The match enters a quickly paced middle portion with Fire and Alex trading advantages, but neither coming close to a pin fall when the sound system turns on and we hear
30 Minutes Elapsed, 30 Minutes Remain
30 minutes in and both competitors are still looking strong even with the punishment both have taken tonight and over the last few weeks but these two are some of the best conditioned athletes in the company and it doesn’t seem likely that exhaustion is going to play a role in deciding the winner tonight. Right now Firewoman is really keeping Alex off-balance with a dazzling array of lightning fast kicks and a variety of martial arts strikes. And that may be one of the few advantages one of these two can gain over the other as Fire seems to be bringing something new to the table. These two know each other so well that any surprises may be a really big factor in deciding who walks out of Mexico as OOWF World Heavyweight Champion.
Fire stays on the offense as she slams Alex to the mat with a scoop slam near the corner and FW gets into position…SPLIT-LEGGED MOONSAULT connects. Fire makes a cover, but only gets a two-count. That one was closer than either have gotten in a long time so Fire must sense that she’s getting closer and this match may come down to just the one fall. Fire follows her last move and sends Alex crashing into the corner. She looks to follow up and comes into the corner with a back handspring elbow, but that’s something Alex had scouted and he catches Fire coming in and he spins her around…CRUCIFIX DRIVER out of the corner. Alex is getting a burst of energy here as he lifts Fire back up and picks her up…CRUCIFIX BUCKLE BOMB and Fire is in serious trouble as she staggers to her feet she is met with a SUPERKICK. She falls to the mat in a heap and Alex quickly ties her legs up and rolls her over…MOTHERFUCKIN CURBSTOMP. And now Alex looks to complete this furious combo as he leaps up to the top rope…DARK DARLING RISING and Alex hooks the leg as he crawls over to make the cover…

Your winner of the first fall in 38:20 is Alexander Darling.
Alexander Darling leads 1 fall to zero.
Fire gets a requisite 15-second rest period before we start up again and it looks like she’s going to need it after that really impressive combination of moves from Alex. He took some moves out of the playbook from his trainer Austin Aries, added in some moves from mutual friend of Fire and Alex, Tyler Black, and finished it off with his own Dark Darling Rising combo. Fire never had time to react or counter any of those and it cost her as she’s now fighting from behind. Alex should be hoping to play defense now as he protects his lead, so lets see if he does that or if he comes right after Firewoman and tries to add to his lead.
Fire gets back to her feet and seems groggy but the rest period is over and Alex comes flying in with a forearm smash that Fire barely ducks under and she quickly tries to even the score as she schoolboys Alex and she gets a 2. Alex gets to his feet first and goes for a SHINING WIZARD but Fire ducks under once again and grabs the leg and she twists and turns Alex around…Fire has Alex locked in his own MONEY CLIP and they’re in the center of the ring. This is serious trouble for Alex as he tries to reach back and grab hold of anything, but Fire has it locked in and she’s settling down and really wrenching back. Alex looks around the ring trying to find any rope to reach out to. His head drops and it looks like he’s about to tap. He’s got his hand up…he’s seconds away from tapping. He takes one last deep breath and tries to get up on his hands as he slowly starts dragging Fire towards the ropes. He takes one last leap and comes up inches short and Fire starts dragging him back towards the center of the ring, but that split-second change of direction changes the momentum and it allows Alex to use another burst to kick out and Fire goes flying through the ropes all the way to the floor.
45 minutes elapsed, 15 minutes remain.
Alex gets back to his feet and really starts shaking his leg to try and get some feeling back into it as he notices Fire on the floor. He looks back to the ropes and then back down to the outside and it looks like he wants to fly and as soon as he takes a step towards the ropes, he grimaces in pain but it doesn’t stop him. What does stop is as soon as he’s about to dive through the ropes Fire jumps up and nails him with a beautiful PELE KICK through the ropes and AD falls back into the ring. Fire senses an opportunity as she gets on the apron and uses the ropes to hit Darling with a SPRINGBOARD SOMERSAULT LEGDROP. Fire doesn’t want to let the advantage go to waste so she quickly picks Alex up and locks his head under her arms…VOODOO DROP and Alex’s neck snaps back and forth. Fire makes the cover…

Thr…No. Alex gets his leg barely over the bottom rope. Possibly a big mistake by Fire there as she didn’t get the leg hooked and it costs her as Alex is still flat on his back. Fire is getting back to her feet and trying to decide what to do next and she picks Alex up and slams him down near the corner. She hops over him and jumps up the turnbuckles for the BEST FIRESAULT EVER, but Alex moves out of the way. Fire must have seen him at the last second and she lands on her feet and quickly catches Alex getting to his feet in the corner with a RUNNING YAKUZA KICK. Alex staggers out of the corner and Fire lifts him up onto her shoulders, she crosses his arm across his throat…DARLING DRIVER by Firewoman. She makes the cover and this time hooks the leg.

Thre…NO, Alex barely gets his shoulder up and Fire slams the mat in frustration but she doesn’t delay as she lifts Alex back up onto her shoulders…PSYCHO DRIVER and Alex is dead. Fire drags Alex towards the center of the ring and this time she hooks the leg…

Your winner of fall #2 in 48:37 is Firewoman.
We are tied at 1 fall for Firewoman and 1 fall for Alexander Darling.
Davis Hightower gets Firewoman into a neutral corner and gives Alex his required 15 second rest before starting the next fall, but Alex hasn’t moved a muscle by the time the 15 seconds are up and Fire quickly pounces and hits a running senton splash on Alex and makes another cover…

Thr…No, Alex gets his shoulder up. Fire was hoping that would be the quick pin fall she needed to take the lead in this match but it was not to be so she drags Alexander to his feet by the hair and places him on the top turnbuckle. Fire follows him up and it looks like Fire is going for the FLAMETHROWER. She leaps onto Alex’s shoulders but he grabs her and stops the move in mid-action and he lifts Fire up….DARLING BOMBSHELL. And both competitors are down. Hightower doesn’t begin a count because a double count out does nothing to help decide a winner and it takes both Fire and Alex a good 15-20 seconds to get to their feet. They both stagger to their feet as…
50 minutes expired, 10 minutes remain
blasts over the sound system. They meet in the center of the ring and start exchanging blows and we can see that these have a lot less power and passion behind them. 50 minutes into a match that has taken everything out of both competitors both physically and mentally we shouldn’t expect anything more. But here they are still fighting for the biggest prize in professional wrestling, the OOWF World Heavyweight Championship. Fire seems to be grabbing the advantage as she’s blocking Alexander’s punches and firing back with some stiff kicks to AD’s thighs and legs. He staggers back and falls to a knee and that gives FW the room she needs and she explodes with a SHINING WIZARD that knocks Alex to the mat. Firewoman is smart in assuming that might not be enough to finish Darling as she drags him towards the center of the ring and hits a scoop slam. She drops a few quick knees across Darling’s chest and looks towards the ropes. Fire makes her decision and BEST FIRESAULT EVER…
NO, Alex gets his knees up and Fire goes crashing off to the side. That had to do some major damage to her already badly injured ribs. Hightower checks on Fire to see if she’s okay to continue but she pushes him away and Alex is on the attack as he lifts Fire up and drops her back down to the mat with an INVERTED DVD. Alex hopes for the best as he floats over and makes a cover, but only gets a two-count as Fire slips a shoulder out. Alex picks FW back up and whips her towards the ropes and goes for a dropkick but Fire holds onto the ropes and once Alex crashes and burns Fire runs out of the corner and flips over onto Alex and hooks the legs. But she gets a two-count as well as Alex bridges out and it looks like he tries to spin around into a ~BACKSLIDE, but no…he’s trying to lock Fire up for his sister’s BITCH KILLER. Fire has that well scouted and flips to land back on her feet and she lands behind Alex…LUNGBLOWER takes the wind out of Alex.
Fire feels like this is her chance as lifts Alex up and spins him around and places a well-timed kick to his gut and slams him down with the SNAP DOUBLEHOOK DDT and Fire knows she has to press the advantage as she lifts Alex for the third time and picks him up…VOODOO DROP and Alex is reeling as Fire quickly hops to her feet and drags Alex near the ropes…BEST FIRESAULT EVER and it connects. Fire quickly hooks both legs…

Your winner of fall #3 in 54:34, Firewoman.
Firewoman leads 2 falls to 1.
That could be the deciding fall with just over five minutes remaining. Alex struggles to his feet as he is still dazed, but he gets his 15-second recovery time. Fire is waiting in a neutral corner and hopping from foot to foot looking ready to put this match away as Alex slowly makes his way to the center of the ring. Hightower says it’s time to go and Darling pushes him away as he extends his hand.
55 minutes elapsed, 5 minutes remain…5 minutes
Firewoman looks at him strangely and meets him in the center of the ring and they’re staring eye-to-eye. Fire extends her hand and Alex grabs it and pulls her close. We can hear him say, 5 more minutes…let’s tear the fucking roof off. Fire smirks and pushes Alex away as they meet in the center of the ring and starting trading strikes once again. Fire looks to be grabbing the edge once again as she’s landing some stiff kicks to Alex’s leg once again, but this time he sees one coming and is able to grab the leg…DRAGON SCREW LEG WHIP. And Alexander senses his chance as he goes to work on that leg. He starts dropping some elbows on the knee and ankle and Fire is sensing trouble as she’s trying to scramble to the ropes to get a break and some time to recover, but Alex is like a shark in the water right now as he keeps dragging Firewoman back to the center of the ring and really working over that knee. AD circles behind Fire and slowly lets her get back to her feet and he takes her right back down with a vicious chop block. As soon as Firewoman is back down on the mat, it doesn’t take Alex more than a moment to seize his opportunity and he locks his arms between Fire’s legs and rolls her over…DARLING MONEY CLIP locked in.
Alex has Firewoman in the center of the ring and he has his finisher locked in. This is the move he used to defeat for his first world title. He has it cinched in as…
58 minutes elapsed, 2 minutes remain…2 minutes
Alex hears that and really starts leaning back and as flexible as Fire is, Alex has trained with this move for an eternity and he is really working it in. Fire is screaming in agony and looking for a rope to grab, but there is nothing near her. She is stuck in the center of the ring and Alex is screaming for her to tap. She gets a glazed look on her face and it almost looks like she’s about to pass out as Hightower checks on her but she screams at him to get away and she slowly starts making her way towards a rope. Inch by inch she drags Alex and just as she’s about to get there Alex once again drags her to the center of the ring. He’s had this locked in and really pulling back, but Fire refuses to tap…
59 minutes elapsed, 1 minute remains…1 minute
Alex screams in frustration begging Fire to tap and throughout the arena we can hear her yell NOOOOOO. Alex knows there is only a minute left and he has to make Fire tap, but he also knows Firewoman better than anyone so he lets go of the MONEY CLIP and he quickly lifts her up and she tries to fight away, but Alex grabs her arm and places a knee into her gut before lifting her up…BRAINBUSTER connects and Alex looks like he’s trying to rush through his combo as he locks Fire’s legs and rolls her over…MOTHERFUCKING CURBSTOMP. And now he looks towards the ropes and he makes his way to the top, DARK DARLING RISING connects. He makes the pin…

Fire picks Alex up by the hair and lands a hard punch to Alex’s head and then he fires back with one. AD quickly follows with another knee and this time he lifts Fire up onto his shoulders. He places her arm across her throat and he nails her in the center of the ring with the DARLING DRIVER. That should tie this match up right before the bell signals the end…

WINNER after 60 minutes with 2 falls…and STILL OOWF WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION…FIREWOMAN!!!!
After a few moments, both Alex and Fire slowly pull themselves to their feet on opposite ends of the ring and are staring at one another once again. They both slowly make their way to the center of the ring and they both slowly smile as Alexander pulls her into a big hug. We can’t hear what’s being said but after a few seconds, they step back from one another and Alex raises Fire’s arms as Davis Hightower places the belt around her waist. They hug one last time as Alex slowly slides out of the ring and Fire stands tall in the center of the ring as OOWF World Heavyweight Champion.
