Midweek Mayhem 1/16
Live from Vergennes, Vt
Russ: From the oldest chartered city in the state, Vergennes, Vermont, welcome to Midweek Mayhem. We are just eleven days from Dance of Death 9, and tonight we set up the first of those Dance of Death matches with Beat the Clock tag team qualifiers to see which three teams will face off against the Tag Team Champions in a Dance of Death contest. With me at this time is my broadcast colleague, former FTW Champion Razz.
Razz: Russ, Dance of Death, always a challenging environment, but to win your way in tonight, the three fastest times will face off against the champs, it's tough.
Russ: Also rough tonight, the new and improved Drink and Destroy, DK Murphy, Danny Taylor, and The Kai face off against three tough ones, Matt Folz, Chris Evans, and the Onslaught Champion Moosehead Jack.
Razz: Lots of talent in that contest to be sure, Russ, but the question will be, which team has the best teamwork. We know Drink and Destroy is good as a unit, how about the other team?
Russ: A triple threat match pits Ghosthead against Davin Moreland and Mai Muyo.
Razz: And the new tag team champions, the Darlings, will face off against Comrade Sharkoff and Ricky Soaring Eagle
Russ: And tonight on Mayhem the World Heavyweight Champion, Firewoman, will defend her title tonight against Rabbit Mask
Razz: Up first tonight, the first draw in the Beat the Clock challenge. And it looks like the Little Tag Team that could, Banned from Everywhere, will set the bar for tonight's Beat the Clock.
Russ: Tag team action, let's get to the ring.
BANNED FROM EVERYWHERE vs. THE PANDA EXPRESSThe Panda Express, Po and Xin, are local workers. Two large guys who wear full body suits so they look like pandas. Indy wrestling at its finest. Banned From Everywhere ride to the ring and when Justin and Bill climb onto the apron, they both look a little confused to be wrestling panda bears. They step between the ropes and Po and Xin immediately attack, because that’s what bears do.
Xin hammers Bill with forearms to the back of the head beating him down to the mat. Po catches Justin with a roaring elbow that slams him upside the head and sends him out of the ring to the floor. The Pandas pull Bill off the mat and send him to the ropes and hit a FLAPJACK! Po shoves Bill into the corner and flies in with a clothesline, then Xin hits one of his own. As Bill staggers out of the corner Xin gets him onto his shoulders and Po climbs to the top rope, it looks like they are going for a DOOMSDAY DEVICE!
Justin runs into the ring shoves Xin and Bill just as Poe leaps, and Bill NAILS him with a clothesline that spins the Panda in mid air, and sends him crashing to the mat. Justin kicks Xin in the gut doubling him over and letting Bill off his shoulders. Justin grabs Xin and sends him to the ropes and catches him with a drop toe hold as he rebounds, as he is falling, Bill charges in and KILLS him with a MASON DIXON LINE! Xin is damn near snapped in half!
Po gets to his feet and Bill clotheslines him over the top rope, then Justin gets a running start and hits a plancha over the top rope that sends the other Panda crashing into the steel. Justin climbs back onto the apron, springs onto the top rope – and miraculously doesn’t kill himself – and leaps at Bill for a hurracarana, Bill catches him, and DRIVES him down onto Xin! DOUBLE TEAM MOVE! (since I forgot what I called it last year) Justin drives and elbow into Xin’s chest, covers and the ref counts one, two, three!
WINNERS in 6:02 – Banned From Everywhere
Russ: So Banned from Everywhere sets the bar with about a six minute win there. Not a bad time at all.
Razz: You gotta wonder about these guys, if they're really as crazy as they seem.
Russ: Trust me, Razz, they are. Next up, triple threat action, as the Death Knell, Ghosthead faces off in a triple threat match against Davin Moreland and Mai Muyo.
Razz: Ordinarily I'd have to give the nod to Moreland, but he just hasn't been himself since he got back. Ghosthead is phenomenal, but Mai Muyo is starting to show a return to her old form since both the Reverend Stan Fulton and her brother Ecosystem returned to the OOWF.
Russ: The young woman is starting to show signs of turning the corner. Let's get to the ring.
Ghosthead vs. Mai Muyo vs. Davin MorelandThe lights darken and
Sevendust’s “My Ruin” comes on the Jumbotron as Ghosthead walks down the ramp. White fog pours from under the ring covering the mat and ringside as Ghosthead enters the ring. He climbs to the top turnbuckle and sits down awaiting his opponent.
Hero by Skillet brings Mai Muyo to the ring.
Notorious fires up and out walks the Grand Slam and Six Pack champion Davin Moreland. Moreland panders around the ring until he finally walks up the steps and panders even more.
Ghosthead charges right into Davin Moreland and hits him with a solid shot to the jaw that stuns him, but Mai Muyo is right behind Ghosthead and hits a Backstabber! Mai follows up with several solid strikes, then runs up the turnbuckles and tries to fly with a hard forearm but Ghosthead leaps to his feet and Mai eats a Superkick in mid air. Moreland grabs Ghosthead and the two start exchanging solid shots. Moreland gets the better of the exchange and forces Ghosthead into the ropes. He throws Ghosthead across the ring but Ghosthead reverses and catches Moreland with a Spinebuster. Ghosthead springs up and hits a hard Elbow into the massive chest of Moreland and goes for a cover, but Mai breaks it up at 2. Mai continues working over the Death Knell and is actually able to get Ghosthead down again and hits a sweet Shooting Star Press for a two count. Mai presses the attack but Ghosthead presses his power game and forces Mai into the ropes and throws her across the ring and lands a hard elbow that sends her out of the ring. Ghosthead turns into a Davin Moreland Really Good Diamond Cutter, but Ghosthead manages to reverse that into a Brainbuster! Ghosthead muscles up Moreland for a HORROR DRIVER! Ghosthead hooks the leg and with Mai on the floor, gets the three count.
WINNER in 19:45 – GhostheadGhosthead looks down at Moreland and shakes his head, and slowly walks to the back, past a recovering Mai Muyo, whom he just looks at and smiles.
Russ: Looks like this Ghost Train is on a roll now.
Razz: With the distractions out of the way, it looks like the Death Knell is focused on one thing, and that is finding the right spot to cash in his guaranteed championship from this year's Imperial Onslaught.
Russ: Well, up next is the second team drawn in tonight's Beat the Clock Tournament is the Reverend and the Devil.
Razz: Stan Fulton and Ecosystem are on a mission to win redemption for Eco and a Grand Slam for the Reverend if they can win the Tag Team Championships, and qualifying for Dance of Death tonight could bring those goals one step closer to reality.
Russ: Tag Team action – let's get to the ring.
Beat The Clock Challenge – Reverend Stan Fulton and Ecosystem”I know who you are, the Leader of Lost Souls” explodes from the speakers as Adema's Immortal brings the Reverend Stan Fulton and Ecosystem to the ring. Both men are focused but amazingly, they take time to greet some of the fans. Fulton enters the ring first, walks to the center of the ring, and makes the sign of the cross to all four sides of the ring, then begins applauding the fans. Ecosystem follows and politely bows to all four sides of the ring. They step back and await their opponents.
And out come PHWF Tag Team Champions Tavian and Radu Dracul as their opponents accompanied by their brother Vlad. A small smile creeps across Fulton's face as he points out the third member to the referee and Vlad is sent not-so-quietly to the back.
The Draculs open up on Fulton solidly with their vicious assault but the massive minister keeps up with them every step of the way. Tavian makes the mistake of trying to pick up Fulton and Fulton backs him into the corner and throws him across the ring and follows up with a corner splash. Fulton tags in Ecosystem and the violent nature of the Draculs pulls Eco a little off the game plan that Fulton set down. But Eco stays solid breaking out a mix of high flying and stiff strikes to keep the Draculs off balance. Eco tags in Fulton as he throws Radu into the ropes and heads for the corner. Fulton hits Radu with the Dropline and Eco comes off the top rope with a SAVIOR SPLASH! But Eco goes for the cover and the referee puts him out while Fulton has Radu covered for the three, but the delay in getting Eco out gives Tavian the opportunity to come in and break up the pinfall. Fulton tags Eco who climbs to the top in another attempted splash but Tavian hits the ropes and Eco falls to the outside and apparently hits his head on the apron, busting himself open. Radu rolls out of the ring and gets Eco back in the ring and starts to mount some punchy-kicky offense on Eco, but the Eco sees the blood and sees red and takes it to Radu in the old violent Eco. When Eco begins biting Radu on the forehead, Fulton realizes he needs to take charge and bulls into the ring and drags Eco to the corner for the tag. Eco is incensed but Fulton takes charge on Radu, hits Radu with the Backcut Slam and covers Radu as Eco flies over Fulton to take out Tavian, and Fulton gets the three count.
WINNER – 10:43 – Reverend Stan Fulton and EcosystemEco continues hammering away at Tavian after the pinfall, and Fulton has to separate them and calm Eco down before they can work their way to the back.
Russ: Solid work from Fulton and Eco, but some miscommunication really hurt their time.
Razz: No doubt these two work really well together, but their timing was off there for a moment, and between that and Eco losing it for a bit there, these two saw what would have been a solid time just fall apart.
Russ: Well, up next, six man action as Drink and Destroy takes on Moosehead Jack, Chris Evans, and Matt Folz.
Razz: Serious star talent in this match, you've really gotta wonder Russ if Drink and Destroy are in over their heads in this one.
Russ: Six man action, let's get to the ring.
DRINK & DESTROY vs. MOOSEHEAD JACK, CHRIS EVANS & MATT FOLZMoose, Evans and Folz are announced first and come to the ring, the three of them argue in the ring about god knows what. Meanwhile Drink and Destroy is announced and Murphy, Kai and Danny come through the crowd to the ring. As they climb between the ropes, Moose, Evans and Folz attack, and the brawl is ON!
Moose and Kai tumble between the ropes as do Folz and Murphy. Inside the ring, Evans and Danny slowly circle one another. Evans tries to dart in and attack, but Danny side steps him and shoves him to the ropes and catches him on the rebound with a big back body drop. As Evans pops back to his feet, Danny whips him to the corner and charges in, but Evans gets a boot up catching Taylor flush on the jaw. Evans hops to the middle rope and leaps at Danny, but Taylor recovers and catches him with a POWERSLAM! Taylor covers for two, but Evans kicks out.
On one side of the ring, Murphy and Folz are hammering one another with punches that would make a hockey fan proud. Murphy gets the better of the exchange, hammering Folz with punches to the face, Murphy takes a step back and winds up for the kill shot, but Folz grabs his shorts and pulls him forward and Murphy falls shoulder first right into the steel stairs. Folz glances in the ring and sees the referee distracted with the pin attempt, so he grabs a chair and slams it down on Murphy’s shoulder! Murphy howls in pain. Folz tosses the chair aside and starts back into the ring, then decides better of it, pulls Murphy up again and shoves him injured shoulder first into the post, as he staggers back, Folz KILLS him with an OLYMPIC SLAM on the floor! Murphy lies motionless on the floor while Folz slides back into the ring and catches Danny with a knee to the back that sends him into the corner. Folz glares at Evans, Evans slowly gets to his feet and they tear into Danny, beating him down to the mat mercilessly with kicks and punches.
On the other side of the ring, Moose and Kai are brawling, hitting each other with everything not nailed down. Kai catches Moose with a kick to the gut and grabs him for a ROCK BOTTOM, but Moose hammers him with elbows to the side of the head staggering him. Moose climbs onto the apron and charges at Kai, but Kai recovers in time to SPEAR Moose in mid air DRIVING him through a conveniently placed table! The crowd pops big for this, and for a moment Kai stands over a broken Moose soaking in the cheers. Kai grabs Moose by the hair to pull him up, but Moose nails him with a LOW BLOW! The Kai doubles over in pain. Moose reaches into his pocket and pulls out a strand of barbed wire that he wraps around his fist and repeatedly punches Kai in the forehead, drawing a ton of blood. Kai slumps to the floor, and Moose staggers to his feet and slides into the ring where Evans and Folz are taking turns decimating Taylor.
Then pulls Taylor to his knees and hold him there, Moose walks up to Taylor with a crazed look in his eyes and slowly reaches toward his boot. Before he can do anything , Murphy is back into the ring. He grabs Evans and PLANTS him with a PERFECT belly to belly suplex. As he gets to his feet, Folz charges at him and Murphy ducks, grabs Folz and spins him around and SLAMS him in the face with a HEADBUTT! The Kai is back on his feet on the outside, Murphy sees this and pulls Evans to his feet and whips him to the ropes, Kai low bridges him and Evans tumbles over the top rope to the floor. Kai grabs him and hits a ROCK BOTTOM on the floor!
Inside the ring, Folz and Murphy are fighting in the corner. Moose surveys the situation and pulls the scalpel out of his boot, and puts it to a still dazed Danny’s throat, but before he can do anything, Kai slides into the ring and POPS Moose with a SUPERKICK sending the scalpel flying! Murphy whips Folz to the ropes and catches him on the rebound with a RELEASE OVERHEAD BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX that sends Folz over the top rope to the floor. Taylor, Murphy and Kai have Moose at their mercy now, Danny nods and they whip Moose to the ropes and he and Murphy hit the BUTTERFLY EFFECT, Kai, now on the top rope, hits a SUPERFLY SPLASH! Kai covers Moose, one, two, THREE! The crowd erupts!
WINNERS in 23:31 – Drink & DestroyAs Drink and Destroy have their celebration, Chris Evans climbs back into the ring and gets into a shouting match with Moose. The two come to blows but Moose gets caught with a low blow from Evans who then picks him up for a Way of the Future. As Evans stands over Moose Folz comes up from behind and returns the favor with a shot to the family jewels and locks in a Folzmission!
And here comes Power and Glory down the ramp. Folz releases the hold and slides out of the ring laughing but wary of the twins. The twins look at the lifeless form of Evans and wipe their brows and fling the sweat off onto him, as they roll Moosehead Jack out of the ring and carry their mentor to the back.
Russ: The new incarnation of Drink and Destroy victorious, Razz!
Razz: These three are stepping it up, Russ, and I believe that DK Murphy won't be the only member of this stable to win gold.
Russ: A reminder that we are 11 days away from our next Pay-Per-View, Dance of Death 9, live from Hell Michigan, January 27th. Next week we head to Canada as this program originates from La Tuque, Quebec.
Razz: But up next, our third qualifying match up in the Beat The Clock challenge, as former champs LD Williams and Stank have their shot.
Russ: Stank and LD said this week they're natural predators, and they live for the hunt. Let's see how their hunt goes tonight. Let's go to the ring.
Beat The Clock Challenge – Stank and LD WilliamsChevelle's
"Forfeit" bursts from the loudspeakers. And here comes LD Williams and Stank, as focused as ever. The crowd mercilessly boos the former champs, and they just ignore it as they climb into the ring awaiting the announcement of their opponents.
The tinkling of an ice cream truck brings the crowd to their feet as hometown boys Ben Ice and Jerry Cream, the Vermonsters, stand atop the ramp. Stank and LD cover their faces, then look at one another like, really? These two? Really?
The referee calls for the bell as Ben Ice steps to the center of the ring and offers his hand to Stank, who just shakes his head. Ice insists, so Stank takes his hand, then pulls him in for a short arm Clothesline. Stank picks up Ice, STANK-U. He throws Ice into his corner so he can tag in Jerry Cream. Stank tags in LD, and one DDT and a Canadian Destroyer on Cream, and it's over.
WINNERS in 2:02 – Stank and LD Williams! The crowd boos at the utter destruction of their home town boys. Stank and LD just shrug and walk to the back..
Russ: An impressive performance from the former tag team champs.
Razz: I've said it before, LD and Stank are still the team to beat here, and I don't see anyone beating that time.
Russ: Up next, the tag team champions, the Darlings, defend their title against Ricky Soaring Eagle and Comrade Sharkoff.
Razz: On any given night, anything can happen in the OOWF. But I doubt that this is the night for these two.
Russ: I agree, but let's get to the ring and see what happens.
The Darling Twins vs Comrade Sharkoff and Ricky Soaring Eagle “Moscow Calling” by Gorky Park brings out the pride of Russia, Comrade Sharkoff accompanied by his handler Mila Kunis. They enter the ring as Kunis picks up a microphone.
“American dirt reporters now call me frumpy and dumpy. Why do I need to live up to their ideal. I am perfect just as I am. That's why stupid American actor boyfriend wants us to get married in April. But this is good time. Tonight the greatest athlete in all Russia, Comrade Sharkoff, and the greatest Native American wrestler of all time will be victorious in their attempt to win the tag team championships. The Comrade will grace you with his presence.”
And Kunis hands the microphone to Sharkoff.
“
Mila Kunis very smart woman. She gets us good information. Tonight we face Alan and Alice Dumpling for Tag Team Championships. Come down here Insect Twins, face us and be humiliated, then Sharkoff and Ricky Warring Eagle become tag team champions of all O-double-F for pride of Mother Russia and oppressed American Native people.”
Sharkoff hands the microphone to Ricky Soaring Eagle.
“Darlings, you've been a thorn in my moccasin for some time. Tonight, the Comrade and myself have the opportunity to take something away from you that you treasure greatly. The Tag Team Championships. Run away, both of you. Or else you will …
FEEL
OUR
PAIN!
As Kunis, Sharkoff, and Ricky share an uncharacteristic happy moment in the ring.....
All the lights go out and a single spotlight begins bouncing around the arena as
Sail begins playing and the spotlight finally lands on two shadowy figures at the top of the ramp. The Darling twins throw back the hoods on their hoodies and raise their Tag Team Championship Belts over their heads to the cheers of the crowd. Alex strides forward with purpose, while Alexis slinks her way down the ring in somewhat of a slutty fashion. They climb into the ring, mount the turnbuckles, and hold their title belts over their heads and play to the crowd.
Sharkoff and Lexie begin the matchup, and Sharkoff's power allows him to dominate at first, but Lexie's speed and flexibility allow her to quickly take over on the Russian powerhouse. Lexie tags in Alex and they hit a Spike Powerbomb on the big Russian. Alex goes for the pin but Ricky breaks it up and hits a DDT on Alex, which gives Sharkoff a chance to get to the corner and tags Ricky. Ricky takes over on Alex but Alex reasserts himself and gets Ricky up for a Crucifix Bomb. Alex tags in Lexie and she heads for the top rope...DARLING BOMBSHELL! Thanks for coming, Ricky.
WINNER in 9:45 – The Darling TwinsThe referee gives the Darlings their title belts, but Mila Kunis and Sharkoff continue to jaw jack with the Darlings. It seems like a foolish move, but it turns out to be a distraction to allow Stank and LD Williams to jump them from behind. While Stank and LD have the early advantage, the post match brawl ends up seeing the foursome brawl all the way through the arena and eventually to the back.
Russ: The Darlings get the win, but Stank and LD Williams get their say.
Razz: These two have established themselves at the top two teams right now in the OOWF, no disrespect meant to Texpress or your girlfriends, Russ.
Russ: I'm surprised it took you this long to go there tonight, Razz. Seriously, Texpress is the most decorated tag team of all time, but the up and coming team of Power and Glory has shown the Texans can be distracted and has some weaknesses. Still, Texpress is a great team, and those Jezebels, as much as I hate to say it, are the future.
Razz: Speaking of which, here come the self-described measuring sticks in their Beat the Clock Challenge. The time to beat right now is the Reverend and the Devil's 10:43.
Russ: Is Texpress up to the challenge? Let's get to the ring.
Beat The Clock Challenge – TexpressBig & Rich's
"Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy" brings out Chad Madison and Zane Myers. Zane and Chad just mosey on down to the ring pandering to the fans. They are still working their way around the ring when....
...the former PHWF Tag Team champions the Bay Bridge Boyz come out to the top of the ramp and call out Texpress. Chad and Zane get into the ring and Chad holds open the ropes for the Boyz, who walk around to the other side of the ring and get in.
The Bay Bridge Boys bring it all against Texpress, but better teams than them have tried and failed. Jinx ends up eating a Triple dropkick but gets to Spazz who manages to get Chad up for a Sliced Bread #2, but Zane breaks that up and that allows Chad to get to the corner for a tag. Zane takes Spazz to Suplex School but Spazz is able to roll out of the ring and delay the inevitable. Chad walks over and shows Spazz the way back into the ring, and Zane throws Spazz into the ropes for a Sidewalk Slam. Zane picks up Spazz, tags Chad, DON'T MESS WITH TEXAS, Zane clotheslines a charging Jinx out of his boots, and Chad gets the three count!
Winners in 7:29 – TexpressChad and Zane leave the ring, confident of their time, with Zane slapping hands and Chad getting phone numbers....
Russ: Well, that puts a whole new complexion on the last match tonight. Texpress eliminates Fulton and Ecosystem, but they're still not guaranteed entry into the Dance of Death Tag Team title match.
Razz: Power and Glory stand between Texpress and a chance at the Tag Team Titles
Russ: Championships
Razz: Championships...again. You've got to wonder what is going through Chad and Zane's minds about now.
Russ: Folks we want to remind you that we are eleven days away from Dance of Death 9, live from Hell, Michigan.
Razz: And next week, Russ, we head to Canada as this program originates from La Tuque, Quebec.
Russ: But now, Main Event time as the insane bunny Rabbit Mask gets a show at the World Heavyweight Championship held by his former partner Firewoman.
Razz: These former friends have faced off in a couple of totally brutal matches that were not for the faint of heart. Will we see that kind of action tonight?
Russ: The World Heavyweight Championship is on the line, let's go to the ring.
World Heavyweight Championship
Firewoman © vs Rabbit MaskAll the lights go out and a white fog engulfs the stage as
Another Me by Jeff Hardy begins to play. Rabbit appears through the fog carrying a head of lettuce with a bunch of carrots attached to the top with a face drawn on the lettuce. Rabbit casually takes bites out of both the lettuce and the carrots, talks to it, and laughs maniacally. Rabbit Mask walks into the ring, then explodes into a violent rage, stomping on the lettuce and the carrots and flinging the remains into the crowd. Perfectly normal behavior.
“Firewoman” explodes from the speakers and anyone still in their seats jumps up as the World Heavyweight Champion steps to the top of the ramp. She hoists her title high over her head, then heads down the ramp slapping hands and working her way around the ring before looking up at Rabbit, shaking her head and climbs into the ring. She climbs the turnbuckle and holds her title over her head to the cheering of the fans...
...until Rabbit Mask decides it's time to get things under way and slides behind Fire and powerbombs her into the center of the ring. He takes over with strikes and chops, and picks up Firewoman for a Head Drop #1...
...which Fire manages to roll through into a small package for a one count, which infuriates the insane bunny and he opens up another fury of blows and throws Firewoman into the ropes, which Fire turns into aThesz Press and she proceeds to open a can of whoopass on Rabbit. She picks up Rabbit... FIRESTORM! She points to the ropes, and the fans erupt...she climbs the ropes....
BEST
FIRESAULT
EVAR!
As she hits the firesault, she looks up and there, at the top of the ramp is Ghosthead, his Imperial Onslaught briefcase in hand! Fire launches into a realm of pissed off and walks to the ropes and challenges the big man, even going so far as to opening the ropes. The jaw jacking goes on long enough that Usagi gets his bearings, hits the ropes to tackle Fire, but Fire feels the ring move and gets out of the way and Rabbit Mask flies onto the floor. Fire climbs to the top turnbuckle and leaps onto Rabbit Mask with a new fury. Rabbit is thrown back into the ring, as Fire follows, points at Ghosthead as to say, this is for you. She picks up Rabbit Mask and hits a VOODOO DROP! She follows with a LAST CHANCERY and Rabbit has no choice but to give up.
WINNER in 19:45 and still Heavyweight Champion – FIREWOMAN As the referee hands her the championship belt, Firewoman snatches it from his hands, holds it over her head, and taunts Ghosthead. Ghosthead holds up his Imperial Onslaught briefcase, and reminds Firewoman that he can challenge her at any time.
Russ: Firewoman retains here tonight in our Main Event, but the challenge of Ghosthead is there at any time, Razz
Razz: Russ, that's got to be in the back of the head of Firewoman given all the Blood Moon Rising stuff that's been going on. But time now for our Final Beat the Clock challenge match tonight.
Russ: Already locked in for the Dance of Death tag title match at Dance of Death 9, the Tag Team Champions The Darling Twins, Banned from Everywhere, and LD Williams and Stank.
Razz: If the Neal Twins can beat Texpresses time of 7:29, they will advance to Dance of Death. Otherwise, Texpress gets a shot at title reign number TEN!
Russ: Our final Beat the Clock challenge match of the night, let's go to the ring.
Beat The Clock Challenge – Power and GloryTwo Steps from Hell erupts from the speakers and Power and Glory start mock-skipping down to ringside and play to the crowd in happy fashion. The mount the turnbuckles and throw kisses to the crows who boo the twins mercilessly. They jump down, face the ramp and await their opponents.
The Jumbotron shows Phil and Carl from Fresno in a pile of debris, and we hear a familiar voice.
FV: Looks like there's been a change of plan, ladies. Your opponents seem to be incapacitated. Don't worry, there's an appropriate substitute team on the way. Like your uncle Ned always said, revenge is a dish best served steaming hot!
Black Sabbath's Type O Negative explodes from the speakers as through the curtains steps....6-3 Kate Bannister and 6-10 PHWF Champion Ember Blackpool! The twins are stunned while Bannister has that cat that ate the canary look as she gets her chance at revenge against the twins.
The match explodes immediately as all four begin brawling in the middle of the ring. Blackpool picks up Power for a POWERSLAM and they both roll out to the floor and retreat to their corners. Meanwhile Glory and Kate continue a heated old school clinic in the ring, and twice Bannister gets Glory in position for a pin but Power breaks it up. Finally Bannister gets behind Glory and locks in a Crossface Chicken-Wing. Power climbs to the top turnbuckle and flies off with a knee right between the shoulders of Kate Bannister. Bannister releases the hold and crawls over to Blackpool for the tag...but Blackpool drops off the apron and begins walking to the back. Meanwhile with about a minute left Glory tags in a rested Power, who climbs the turnbuckle and launches a dropkick to Bannister almost all the way across the ring and hits her so hard Bannisters head snaps into the turnbuckle. Power picks up Banister, folds her arm behind her back, and slams her on that arm. With the clock counting down on the Jumbotron Power locks in a Fujiwari Arm Bar! Bannister refuses to tap! Power keeps torquing the arm and Glory yells “Break it!” Finally with five seconds left Power jerks the arm hard and it bends a way it's not supposed to and Bannister screams and finally taps as the clock hits zero.
WINNERS by Submission in 7:29 – Power and GloryThe trainers come pouring down from the back and call for paramedics as both Power and Glory do the wipe their sweat from their brows and fling it on the opponent spot. They consider finishing the job...
...when
Blow explodes from the Jumbotron and out comes General Manager Selena.
GMS: Congratulations, Ladies. I win a huge bet with your daddy. He thought you couldn't do it. Still, you and Texpress are tied for the final Dance of Death tag team slot. So it looks like next week you and Texpress will face off in a winner take all match. A Double Jeopardy match inside a Steel Cage! Smile for the Camera, ladies!
Blow fires back up, and Power and Glory are furious! The storm around the ring, knocking over tables, chairs, anything they get their hands on, and they once again threaten Russ at ringside before finally working their way up the ramp.
Russ: Those damn Jezebels are crazy, Razz!
Razz: Well, it appears that Wyatt Cox made a deal with GM Selena to somehow cost his daughters the chance in Dance of Death and got Kate Bannister reinstated for the night. Unfortunately it looks like Kate may not be back anytime soon. But what happened with Ember Blackpool?
Russ: Well, Power and Glory met Blackpool in the past, it might be more of that honor among devils thing.
Razz: Whatever it was, Power and Glory will be facing off against Texpress next week inside a steel cage right here on Midweek Mayhem, live from La Tuque Quebec
Russ: Folks we are out of time, see you next week for more Midweek Mayhem.
